Ryan Seacrest is back on TV following concerns about his health. He appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan as usual Tuesday after missing Monday’s episode. During Tuesday’s opening, Seacrest thanked his co-host Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, for filling in for him on Monday. He also thanked fans for their well wishes. “I want to thank Mark for filling in yesterday. I appreciate that,” Seacrest said. “He’s so good at it. And also the very kind well wishes for my exhaustion. Working round-the-clock so I got a day off to relax. And here we are once again at it on Live.” Fans speculated that Seacrest had a stroke during the American Idol Season 18 finale Sunday. Fans said Seacrest’s eyes appeared swollen and that he seemed to jumble his words. Seacrest’s rep denied the reports Monday.
*****We just realized: if he DOES go down, there’s gonna be about 50 openings!!
*******If you watch that video, there’s no doubt that SOMETHING happened!!

The 2021 Oscars may be postponed. They are scheduled to be held on Feb. 28, 2021. As the coronavirus pandemic has upended this year’s major releases of motion pictures, insiders told Variety that the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences is considering rescheduling film’s biggest night. A source who spoke anonymously to the outlet said it is “likely” the Oscars will be postponed due to the global health crisis, although no formal date has been thrown around as of yet. A second source claimed the official date is still the same at ABC, the network that is set to air the show. The news comes on the heels of the Academy changing its criteria for the upcoming awards At the time the new eligibility rules were announced, Academy president David Rubin told the outlet it was “impossible to know what the landscape will be” come February. “We know we want to celebrate film but we do not know exactly what form it will take,” Rubin explained.

Nicole Kidman broke her ankle while out on a run, according to her husband Keith Urban. While speaking with “The Project,” Urban discussed his wife’s appearances in his virtual concerts, including one in which she danced in the background — before her injury — and revealed how his wife’s injury came about. “[Kidman] broke her ankle, so there’s not been a whole lot of dancing going on at the house,” the singer said. “About five weeks ago, she was running around the neighborhood, as she does, and just didn’t see a pothole and rolled her ankle and got a small break in her ankle.” Urban said that Kidman has been “relegated to [a] boot” for several weeks while recovering. “Her spirit’s been amazing, I gotta say,” Urban said. “She’s been handling it way better than I would’ve.”

The trailer for a Mel Gibson movie released on demand faced a huge backlash on Twitter because of its casting and themes. Puerto Rico hurricane movie “Force of Nature” features two white actors fighting a Latino gang. “MEL GIBSON IS STARRING IN A MOVIE WHERE HE REFUSES TO EVACUATE HIS HOME IN PUERTO RICO THATS ABOUT TO BE HIT BY A CAT 5 HURRICANE?! WHAT IN THE CAUSACITY? WHOS IDEA WAS THIS?!?!?!!” tweeted one hater along with the trailer. “Youre telling me, Gringos wanna make a hollywood film about the most traumatizing event in Puerto Rico history and center it around a snobby white old man who refuses to leave his home? Are you f–ing kidding me???” A lot of the reaction was quite similar. “What the ever living f–k is this? They did a movie about Hurricane Maria and is a blond American chick gunning down Puerto Rican drug dealers in… Condado?” another user tweeted, adding, “I am still laughing that the location for the scary drone shots and drug cartel shootouts is Condado, a ritzy, beach y San Juan neighborhood. This is like setting your gritty noir in Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill.”

Prince Charles urged students and furloughed workers to help farmers harvest crops during the coronavirus pandemic. The Prince of Wales posted a video on Twitter pleading people to take on the “unglamorous” task to pick fruits and vegetables as he stands outside by green pastures. “If we are to harvest British fruit and vegetables this year, we need an army of people to help,” Prince Charles said. “Food does not happen by magic. It all begins with our remarkable farmers and growers. If the last few weeks have proven anything, it is that food is precious and valued and it cannot be taken for granted.” He compared the need for harvesters for the “Pick for Britain” campaign to the importance of the Land Army in World War II, a movement where women and girls volunteered or were conscripted into undertaking agricultural work after many men left the country to fight. “In the coming months, many thousands of people will be needed to bring in the crops. It will be hard graft but is hugely important if we are to avoid the growing crops going to waste,” he said. See the video HERE.

The video was posted on MSU’s Twitter feed and starts with the university’s president, Clif Smart, alongside mascot, Boomer the Bear, saying he had special guest to deliver a message to students of the class of 2020, who were graduating at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. Then to everyone’s shock and awe, Pitt popped up on the screen, in a green shirt. “Hi everyone. Brad here from quarantine with a shout-out to the graduating class of Missouri State University. Yeah, it must be very strange doing this in these trying times, but know we’re rooting for you,” said Pitt. He continued, “Our money’s on you to make this world a better place. And we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. So, you did it. You made it. Enjoy. Congrats again, and think big.” On May 12, assistant professor Elizabeth King posted a video on social media asking Pitt to record an uplifting message to the graduates amid the coronavirus pandemic. “I had a wild idea that Brad Pitt would do his hometown a solid & cheer up @MissouriState grads who won’t walk this Friday. Haven’t heard from anyone I emailed, so here’s a video I never thought I’d share. Last shot for my students. Twitter, do your thing,” wrote King.

Margot & ScarJo’s Tinkerbell Brawl-(National Enquirer)
Hollywood stunners Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johansson are duking it out for a role in the upcoming Peter Pan movie, sources say. The bombshells are vying for the part of Tinkerbell alongside “Joker” hunk Joaquin Phoenix, who’s being eyed to play Captain Hook in Disney’s live-action adaptation “Peter and Wendy,” according to insiders. “Margot is the hot favorite for this role, but that hasn’t stopped Scarlett pitching herself hard,” divulged an insider. Though a Johansson rep denied any tension between the actresses, the pillow-lipped star, 35, has been relentlessly trash-talking Australian-born beauty Margot, 29, and vice versa, spies said. “The word is they’ve fought over a few other roles over the years, too,” tattled the source. “This is pushing their dislike of each other to a whole new level!”
Jessie Simpson’s lil sis, Ashley Simpson, 35, is expecting her second child with actor-singer hubby Evan Ross, 31, son of Diana Ross. The babe will join their daughter, Jagger, 4, as well as son Bronx, 11, shared with Ashley’s ex-husband, rocker Pete Wentz.
Kristin & Jay: It’s War!-(Us Weekly)
Recent reports claim that former NFL star Jay Cutler’s unemployment was to blame for his split from wife Kristin Cavallari, but sources say otherwise. “Kristin never had a problem with him retiring,” an insider says. “She never criticized him about it. She didn’t care.” Court documents obtained paint a disturbing picture. Cavallari alleges that Culer-who she says has a history of making “inappropriate statements to and about” her in front of their kids-is attempting to “punish her” for seeking primary custody of Camden, 7, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 4. “Wife fears the situation will escalate,” the docs say.
Celebrity Homeschooling: Lisa Bonet & Jason Momoa-(Star)
Aquaman is totally in his element! The hunky star, 40, tag-teams with wife Lisa, 52, by letting her take care of teaching their tweens, Nakoa-Wolf, 11, and Lola, 12, while he plays PE coach. “We’ve got skateboard ramps and climbing walls and [we’re] throwing tomahawks and shooting bow and arrow,” he said. “It’s nice being home. I’m never home.”
Matthew’s Sad Spiral-(Life & Style)
Could he be any more down on his luck? Matthew Perry stepped out in public for the first time since splitting from longtime girlfriend Molly Hurwitz looking worse for wear in LA on April 24. “He’s spiraling,” a source says of the 50-year-old actor. “That’s why he and Molly broke up.” A source says of the “disheveled” actor: “Matt’s issues run deep. His friends are concerned.”

A 90-year-old Japanese woman known as the “Gaming Grandma” has been awarded a Guinness World Record as the oldest gaming YouTuber. Hamako Mori, 90, said her interest in video games was piqued about 39 years ago, when she watched some children playing the popular games of the time. “It looked so much fun, and I thought it’s not fair if only children played it,” Mori said. “I thought life would be more fun if I knew how to play it. So I started playing, at first while no one was watching.” Mori bought her first gaming console, a Cassette Vision, and now, decades later, she plays her PlayStation 4 and shares videos for her more than 150,000 YouTube subscribers. She said it took her some time to get into more modern games. She dedicated gamer credited her hobby with keeping her feeling young. “After living for this long, I feel more than ever that playing games for this long was the right choice. I am truly enjoying my life — it’s rosy,” she said.

Sea Lion Rescued By Highway
Authorities and animal rescuers in California came to the assistance of a wayward sea lion spotted making its way to a busy stretch of highway. The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito said the sea lion, dubbed Gilligan by rescuers, was spotted Sunday next to Interstate 5 in the Tracy area. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office’s Animal Services unit and troopers with the California Highway Patrol arrived on the scene first and monitored the sea lion while waiting for personnel from the Marine Mammal Center. Dave Zahniser, the Marine Mammal Center’s response training and operations manager, said Gilligan appears to be healthy and likely became lost while searching for food.

Therapy Dog Gets Honorary Doctorate
Virginia Tech’s virtual commencement ceremony included an honorary doctorate being bestowed on a beloved university staffer: a therapy dog named Moose. The school announced Moose, an 8-year-old therapy dog employed by the school’s Cook Counseling Center, was awarded an honorary doctorate in veterinary medicine Friday as part of the school’s virtual commencement ceremony. Moose, who has been with the school since 2014, is one of four dogs serving at the Cook Counseling Center as working therapy animals and ambassadors for mental health awareness. The canine previously received the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association’s Animal Hero Award in 2019. “The students here talk a lot about how Moose has broken down the stigma around mental health care on campus,” owner Trent Davis told CNN. “Veterinarians are unfortunately a very challenged population. They have high rates of suicide, and this profession can be quite disturbing. He has really helped the students and staff at Virginia Tech and has gotten a lot of recognition for that.”
******Now he can play doctor with his girlfriend.. because he’s a real “dog-ter!!”
******He’s thinking, “They keep giving me these awards… and all I want is a dog chew!!”
******If vets are suicidal, we’re betting it’s not the animals… it’s their nutty owners!!!
Robot Serves Up Beers
Beer Cart is a new robotic barman serving beer in Spain. He made his debut when the southern city began enjoying new freedom as Spain eased a two-month lockdown, with bars and cafes in half of the country allowed to reopen their terraces. Sitting in the middle of the bar at La Gitana Loca (The Crazy Gypsy), the giant robotic arm with a “Captain Hook” pincer smoothly reaches over to a dispenser, takes a plastic cup then spins around to hold it at an angle under the tap. Gradually straightening the cup as it fills, the robot then places it on the counter for the customer to pick up. Serving up small draft beers — or canas — for just over a week, the bionic barman has drawn a steady stream of both customers and curious onlookers.
*******One customer starting making small talk, and the robot said, “Shut the f*ck up and drink your beer!!”
******Someone else said, “Anheuser Busch?” The robot replied: “I don’t HAVE a bush!!”
*****If we want someone with no personality to serve our beer, we’ll go down to the local Chili’s!!!

7 Warning Signs You’re Not Being The Best Coronavirus Lockdown Partner
- You’re passive-aggressive about your needs.
We’re all experiencing and adapting to this weird new normal. In the process, we’re finding more things that irk us (on top of all our worn-in pet peeves).
Maybe you’re an introvert staying with your parents right now, secretly feeling smothered and in need of a personal timeout. Or maybe you’re a clean freak with a roommate whose tidying habits have gone from chaotic neutral to completely unacceptable. To maintain the peace, you’re keeping your frustration to yourself.
So how does that make you the bad guy? When you don’t speak up about how your needs aren’t being met, all that pent-up discontent is bound to bubble to the surface eventually and result in some tense interactions with your roomie.
“You aren’t doing anyone a favor here when you keep quiet about how you feel,” said Brittany Bouffard, a psychotherapist in Denver. “If you’ve set a precedent that you don’t need anything ― whether it’s more time alone, better COVID precautions, the dishes done ― you’ll feel the wrath soon of agitation toward your space sharers.”
To break the vicious cycle, stop quietly enduring and start talking about what’s bugging you. (Heck, your housemate will probably have some grievances to share, too.)
“Not speaking up to ‘keep the peace’ usually leads to you feeling neglected and in a disappointed funk with your space mate,” Bouffard said. “Kindly speak up ― and ask what someone else is needing, too!”
- You’re not respecting work boundaries.
When you transitioned to working from home, you may have noticed that you and your housemate have different habits and needs on the job. You think it’s fine to pop in and out of your roommate’s workspace, for example, but they might prefer a respectful knock first, at the very least.
If you haven’t talked about how each of you operates, new boundaries need to be discussed, agreed upon and followed ASAP, said Kurt Smith, a therapist in Roseville, California. He used an example from his own practice to illustrate how important this point is.
“One client I’m counseling has his video meetings interrupted by his wife, who just walks into his home office anytime she has something to tell him because he’s now so available,” Smith said. “He wants to be understanding, but his work is suffering and he feels she’s not respecting him and his work the way she should. This type of stuff really needs to be discussed.”
- Your body language speaks volumes — and not in a good way.
Careful with those eye rolls and heavy, annoyed sighs. Your body language could be creating a tension-filled home, said Karla Ivankovich, a counselor in Chicago.
“When experiencing anxiety, especially in prolonged situations such as with this shelter in place, we tend to lose a bit of our normal moral reasoning,” she said. “When we do, our body tends to tell a tale of how annoyed and irritated we are with nonverbal cues. For instance, an eye roll or cold shoulder.”
Dismissive body language like that can be especially damaging to couples’ relationships. According to renowned psychology researcher John Gottman ― who’s spent 40 years studying what makes or breaks relationships ― contemptuous behavior like eye-rolling, sarcasm and name-calling is the number one predictor of divorce.
- You’re a slob.
Right now you’re in close quarters with someone all day, every day. That calls for a certain level of tidiness, no? When a roommate or partner doesn’t carry their weight on household chores, then the other is inevitably left feeling disrespected and unsupported, said Amy Rollo, a psychotherapist in Houston Heights, Texas.
“Resentment builds,” she said. “The good news is that household chores are a solvable problem that can be fixed with open communication. Open and direct communication of needs, as well as splitting up the tasks each week, can remedy this situation.”
- You have a short fuse.
Whether you’re suddenly living with family, spending more time than ever with your S.O. or truly never wanted to see this much of your roommate, it’s natural that your fuse may be a little short. And it’s not like you can seek respite at work or by making plans with your friends. You’re essentially stuck together.
If it’s your S.O. you’re lashing out at, you might need to sit down together and talk about your problems using “we” language.
“Discuss ideas around solo time, chores, working from home together or even new parenting strategy,” Bouffard said. “Don’t let negative moments build without discussing them.”
Once you start talking, make a point to check in every week or two. “Just like everything regarding COVID-19, your feelings or needs could change daily or weekly,” she said.
If it’s your roommate you’re going after lately, new rules or boundaries need to be established, too.
“Discuss who gets the living room when, a chore schedule, maybe what you can do outside safely to give each other some space,” Bouffard said. “Start the conversation ASAP if you haven’t already.”
- You’re working the same long hours.
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be especially challenging when you’re sheltering in place. Your home is your workplace. Come Friday night, it’s all too easy to allow your heavy workload to carry over into your weekend. That’s probably no big deal if you’re living with a roommate, but it can be problematic if you live with your family or partner. In fact, Smith said he’s currently counseling a couple dealing with this problem.
“The husband used to stay at the office until after 7 p.m. and not get home until 8,” the therapist said. But now that he’s working from home, the husband has made some adjustments: “He [stops] to have dinner with the family and then goes back to work for a few more hours afterwards.”
It may not be an ideal situation ― ideally, the husband’s job would allow him to truly disconnect after work hours ― but Smith said he counts it as growth for the couple.
“At least the husband’s willingness to make some adjustments has resulted in an improved relationship with his wife and kids, and he’s still getting nearly the same amount of work done as before,” Smith said.
- You’re withdrawing from your family.
In the beginning, many looked at this stay-at-home period as an opportunity to reconnect with their loved ones and maybe even engage in a simpler, more family-centric way of life.
As lockdown has stretched into months, though, not all of us are singing “Kumbaya” like we were before. Many of us are looking for an escape any way we can get it ― usually online.
“As time has passed and we are exiting month two, with no real end in sight, I see a lot of clients starting to withdraw into the devil they know: social media,” Ivankovich said. “There’s no rationalizing anymore that this time home is a gift and we should all be thrilled.”
While there’s nothing wrong with taking some time for yourself away from your family (in fact, it would be unhealthy not to do so), now is not the time to withdraw completely. With so much uncertainty outside your front door ― financial devastation, a staggering national death toll from the coronavirus ― embracing family time can make everyone feel safer, reassured and supported.
“In this time, consider those in your home and push through the desire to withdraw and isolate yourself from those around you,” Ivankovich said. “Your online family matters, but for most of us, your family at home matters more.”
