NFL Coming To YouTube

The NFL and Google reached a multi-year agreement to grant YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels the rights to broadcast NFL Sunday Ticket to U.S. customers in 2023, the companies announced Thursday morning.  “We’re excited to bring NFL Sunday Ticket to YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels and usher in a new era of how fans across the United States access, watch and follow the NFL,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a news release.  NFL Sunday Ticket, which allows fans to watch their favorite teams from any U.S. city, will be available as an add-on package on YouTube TV and as a standalone, a-la-carte option on YouTube Primetime Channels.  NFL Sunday Ticket, which launched in 1994, had been distributed on DirectTV since its inception. The NFL and YouTube said they will “work together” to determine additional ways to distribute the service at commercial establishments, including bars and restaurants.

King Charles To Host Big Parade

Buckingham Palace announced the Trooping of the Colour, King Charles III’s birthday parade, will be held on June 17, 2023.   Since King Charles III took over the throne after Queen Elizabeth II’s death, the new British monarch is continuing royal traditions and will host the Trooping of the Colour not on his actual birthday.  Charles will turn 75 on Nov. 14.   King Charles’ parade will boast more than “1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians,” according to Buckingham Palace.  The streets of London will be filled with crowds waving flags as the parade traditionally moves from Buckingham Palace down The Mall to Horse Guard’s Parade.  In addition to the birthday parade announcement, King Charles III has given several royal family members new titles. Kate, Princess of Wales, was appointed colonel of the Irish Guards. The title previously belonged to Prince William.  The Prince of Wales now holds the title of colonel of the Welsh Guards. The monarch additionally announced that the queen consort will be switched to the colonel of the Grenadier Guards. This title was previously held by Prince Andrew.

Tori Spelling Hospitalized

Tori Spelling is in the hospital while having a “hard time breathing.”  She shared a since-deleted Instagram Story selfie from a hospital bed on Wednesday, flashing a peace sign and smiling at the camera. “Here I am in [the] hospital since late last night,” the “BH90210” alum, 49, wrote (via Us Weekly).  She noted that she was experiencing “high blood pressure and crazy dizziness,” with doctors running a “battery of tests.”  She went on to slam haters who “gas lit” her when she felt “too sick to work” this week.  “How about next time [you] take someone at face value and show kindness instead of doubtfulness,” Spelling added. “Remember, for people like me, NOT working is a nightmare. I’m a hustler and a workaholic. I always choose work.”  She told her followers that she wanted to “get home to [her] kids.”

Wednesday Breaks More Records

Netflix’s Wednesday made its debut on Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals with the Top 10 chart’s second-largest tally ever. For the Week of Nov. 21, the Addams Family offshoot amassed just shy of 6 billion minutes viewed across a mere eight episodes, a total only bested by the 7.2 billion minutes that Stranger Things 4 drew this past Memorial Day weekend (for 32 available episodes). Nielsen notes that Wednesday‘s performance was driven largely by multicultural viewers, a quarter of which were from Hispanic households. Over half of the series’ viewers landed in the 18-49 age range, and about 60% were female.  Placing a distant second was Netflix’s Dead to Me, with 1.5 billion minutes viewed across 30 total episodes, followed by another three Netflix offerings: 1899 (1.1 billion minutes/eight episodes), The Crown (1.1 billion minutes/50 total episodes) and Manifest (988 million minutes/52 total episodes).
*********We just realized: America will never get those billions of minutes back!! They’re gone forever!!
*****Just to screw with Netflix, we should never watch the show on Wednesday!!

Kangaroo Seen In Missouri

Authorities in a Missouri county confirmed a kangaroo was recently spotted roaming loose around a road.  Jefferson County Services Director Eric Larson confirmed a kangaroo was spotted near a High Ridge road recently, although animal control was not contacted in the incident.  At least one local resident captured the animal on camera during its time on the loose.  Larson said the kangaroo is believed to have escaped from S and S Farms Exotic Petting Zoo in High Ridge.  Officials with the petting zoo confirmed the kangaroo seen on the loose is named Rueben and was safely returned to the facility after only a short time on the loose.  See the video HERE.

Bear Steals Bagels!

A North Carolina woman’s home security camera was recording when a bear wandered onto her porch and stole a package filled with bagels.  Mary McClear said her doorbell camera captured footage of the bear when it wandered onto her Hendersonville porch, apparently tempted by the smell of the bagel box and a box of snacks she leaves out for delivery drivers.  The footage shows the bear taking snacks from the treat box before fleeing with the box of bagels.  McClear said the package was filled with bagels, cream cheese and salmon sent to her by a friend in New York City.  See the video HERE.

Sign Hack To Say “Smoke Weed”

Officials said the message “smoke weed every day” on an LED display sign at the side of a road in India’s largest city was the result of a “technical glitch.”  Akshat Deora posted a video to Twitter after spotting the unusual roadside message while traveling on Worli-bound Road in Mumbai.  The message “smoke weed every day” can be seen scrolling by on the sign, which had been placed on the road to give traffic instructions amid construction.  Pravin Padwal, joint commissioner for traffic with the Mumbai Police, told India Today that L&T, the company responsible for the sign, blamed “some technical glitch” for the “wrong message.”  Padwal said the sign was shut down while L&T’s information technology team works on the issue.
**********Sure… it was a “technical glitch!!”
******Here in California, we don’t need that sign. We already smoke pot every day!!! It would be like having a sign that says, “Breathe!!!”
