Nick Cannon Positive For COVID-19

The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be temporarily replaced on the show by actress and comedian Niecy Nash.   A rep for Fox, which airs The Masked Singer, confirmed Wednesday to Entertainment Tonight that Nash will fill in for Cannon in the first episodes of Season 5, which begins production Thursday.  Cannon’s rep told Variety that the actor and television personality is quarantining and resting as he recovers from COVID-19. Fox expects Cannon to return to The Masked Singer later in the season.  Season 5 is slated to premiere in March. Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke will return on the judges panel.  Nash was a guest judge in The Masked Singer Season 4 and also appeared on the companion series I Can See Your Voice, hosted by Jeong.
*******At least the contestants have masks on, so they won’t catch it!!
******They’re thinking about a show for singers who drink too much, called “I Can Smell Your Voice!!!”

Taylor Swift Sued By Theme Park

Taylor Swift is being sued by a theme park in Utah with the same name as her recent album.  The lawsuit was filed by Evermore Parks, claiming trademark infringement following the December 2020 release of Swifts’ album, “Evermore.” The park, which first opened in 2018, offers guests of all ages a chance to immerse themselves in a fantasy world complete with baby dragons, dwarves, Knights and other magical elements put on by effects crews and costumed actors.  However, the park insists that the release of Swift’s album flies directly in the face of its trademark. In court documents, CEO Ken Bretschneider said that after Swift’s album was released on Dec. 11, search results for the theme park dropped on Google in favor of the album.  Swift’s lawyers said the allegations are “baseless” and they refused to comply with a cease and desist letter the park sent to Swift on Dec. 18. They added that they styled her new album “in a way that is entirely distinct” from the park’s aesthetic.
********She should just buy the park!! For her, that’s petty cash!!
*****They’d like her to pay them, “Evermore!!”
*****As compensation, she offered them one free butt-grab!!!

Demi Moore Opens Up About Quarantining With Bruce

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis stunned fans when they confirmed they were self-isolating together with their daughters as the coronavirus pandemic was first surging in early 2020.  She reflected on the opportunity to reunite with her former husband at her Idaho home in a recent interview on model Naomi Campbell’sNo Filter with Naomi” YouTube series. According to the actress, who recently modeled in a Fendi fashion show, it was blissful.  “There’s been a lot of challenges and a lot tragedy with this pandemic, but I also think there’s been a lot of gifts and blessings,” she said. “I personally feel like I was really grateful for things slowing down and the time that we had.”  The family’s reunion took place at the same home where they raised their daughters Rumer, 32, Scout, 29, and Tallulah, 27.  “It worked out that Bruce came and spent time with us,” Moore recalled.  The former couple, their daughters and their significant others, were later joined by Willis’ current wife, Emma Heming Willis, and their two young daughters Mabel, 8, and Evelyn, 6.  Moore called it a special blending of the families and confirmed she’s formed her own bond with Willis and his wife Emma’s little girls.
*********They should put a warning label on this story: “MEN!! Do not try this at home!!!”

Country Star’s Music Surges After Ban

Morgan Wallen’s music continues to climb the charts despite a video that surfaced of him using a racial slur.  Earlier this week in a video obtained by TMZ, the country star can be seen walking to his Nashville home and telling someone to “take care of” “this pussy ass motherf—ker.” “Take care of this pussy ass n—r,” he adds.  His record label, Big Loud then announced that they would be suspending him “indefinitely.”  And iHeart and Cumulus Media also made the decision to remove his music from their stations. Yet his music is dominating the iTunes charts.  On Thursday, Wallen had the number one song with “More Than My Hometown.” “Wanted on You” was number two and he held the four, five, six, eight and ten spots. He also monopolized the album charts with “Dangerous: The Double Album” reigning as number one and “If I Know Me,” as number two. And on the top ten country songs, Wallen held an astonishing nine out of ten spots.
******AND… he’s got a bunch of friends ready to storm the capitol!!!
*****He was totally in the wrong, of course, but it’s almost more sickening to watch all these companies try to outdo each other with their virtue-signaling hysteria!!!

Halftime Show Will Take Place In The Stands

The Weeknd’s innovative Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday will be performed in the stands as a way to put on a blockbuster live show and observe COVID-19 safety precautions.  The show will be “only in the stands and nothing in the field,” said a source. “It’s really phenomenal, different and historic.”  Another source confirmed the stage and sets will all be in the stands — but added that The Weeknd could step onto the field during the show.  The stages and equipment for Super Bowl shows are usually assembled by close to 5,000 staffers in 13 minutes, including the performance, an insider said. This year, the show will be put together by a fraction of that number.  “It’s a total of 1,000 people, and they can’t touch the field,” said an insider of the behind-the-scenes production this year. “How do you pull off a show that’s not on the field and is as impactful as its ever been with same level of entertainment?”  The source added of this year’s show, “Wait till you see it, it’s beautifully done. It’s different and it’s historic.”
*******Last year, there was a couple putting on a show in the stands!!
*****The Weeknd will be selling hot dogs and beer to the fans!!! What a show!!
*******This sounds so historic and innovative that we may just reschedule our bathroom break!!!

More Meghan Markle Family Drama

Meghan Markle wanted her father to “disown” his two older children and allegedly used his invitation to her royal wedding as an incentive to cut ties with her half-siblings, Samantha Markle claims in her new book, The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister: A Memoir. This was just one of the shocking behaviors she learned of in the lead-up to Meghan and Prince Harry‘s nuptials.  Samantha also reveals that her father never received a physical invitation to the wedding, which was attended by multiple guests — who Meghan had known for just months — including Oprah Winfrey and Amal Clooney. In the end, Meghan’s father-in-law did the honor of walking the Duchess of Sussex down the aisle, while Thomas and Samantha watched from the comfort of their own homes.  Thomas revealed the news to Samantha just weeks before the ceremony, she recalls in the book. She asked him his plans to attend the ceremony, and in response got “a few minutes of silence.”
********Let’s face it: Meghan was never gonna allow herself to be walked down the aisle by her hillbilly dad!!!

Woman Tries To Smuggle Cactus Plants In Her Pants

Officials in New Zealand said a woman caught attempting to smuggle more than 1,000 plants and endangered cacti into the country was sentenced to 100 hours of community service.  The Ministry for Primary Industries said Wenqing Li, 38, of Auckland, was accused of attempting to smuggle cacti and succulents into New Zealand from China on two separate occasions.  The ministry said Li returned to Auckland International Airport from a China trip in March 2019 with 947 plants concealed in stockings and strapped to her body. She fled to a bathroom when she attracted the attention of a police dog and attempted to dispose of the items, which included eight endangered and threatened species and was worth an estimated $7,200. Authorities recovered a “large amount” of plant materials from the bathroom.  Li was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and 12 months of “intense supervision.”

Couple Gets Married Under Water

An India couple practiced some extreme social distancing for the wedding when they held their ceremony 60 feet under water.  Chennai couple V Chinnadurai and S Swetha were married Monday morning off the coast of Neelankarai, after their support team verified the waters were calm enough for a dive.  “It was a traditional, only it was underwater. We dived in at an auspicious time in the morning and exchanged garlands and tied the thaali before 7:30 a.m. as per instructions from our priest,” groom Chinnadurai, a licensed scuba diver who has been diving for years, told the Times of India.  Swetha said she only started taking scuba lessons about a month before the wedding.  “I was nervous and so were my parents, but we had eight divers with us. It was exciting too because we’ve been trying to tie the knot since last week,” she said. “It was all in the hands of the sea.”  See the video HERE.

Edible Race Cars Set Records

A Washington state casino broke two Guinness World Records when it celebrated the opening of its new parking garage with a race between two cars that were 91% cake.  The ilani casino, located near La Center, held a race between two replica Formula One cars, each one consisting of a cake body mounted on an aluminum chassis.  The Cowlitz Indian Tribe, which owns the casino, said each car was 91 percent edible to ensure they met Guinness World Records qualifications that required the cars to be 90% edible in order to set the records for the fastest edible vehicle and longest distance covered by an edible vehicle.  Formula One driver Michael Andretti drove the car that broke the records. The vehicle was a replica of a car he drove during a championship season. The other car was a replica of a car once driven by his father, Mario Andretti.  Andretti’s cake car reached a top speed of 17.08 mph and traveled a distance of 349.81 feet to break the records.  See the video HERE.

Snake Found In Dining Room

Animal rescuers in Britain were called to the home of a resident who was shocked to discover a North American snake in their dining room.  The RSPCA said a member of the public called police to report there was a snake in the corner of the dining room in their Lincoln, England, home and the reptile wasn’t moving.  Police contacted the RSPCA, and Inspector Kate Burris responded to the home and captured the foot-long orange corn snake, a species native to North America.  “It must have been a bit of a shock for this member of the public to find a snake inside their house. I think it was probably the last thing they were expecting to find! He’s a little underweight which makes me think he’s been missing or possibly abandoned for a while and had probably been living under their floorboards,” Burris said.  Burris said the RSPCA is hoping anyone missing a corn snake in the area will contact the organization to claim their pet.

A LIST FOR FRIDAY

Super Bowl halftime moments you need to revisit before NFL’s big game

FoxNews.com

2020: Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s seductive performance

The Super Bowl LIV halftime show took the entertainment world by storm when Latina sensations Shakira and Jennifer Lopez took the stage in February.

Paying tribute to their respective heritages, Shakira and JLo’s performance served as a celebration of Latin culture with their hit songs and Latin-inspired dance routines. Attendees at Miami Gardens’ Hard Rock Stadium and viewers around the world were left in awe by the duo’s seductive dance moves, impeccable choreography and powerful musical performances.

While the halftime show did receive praise for its exuberance, some were offended by its overt sexuality and the effect it may have had on children.

The New York Post noted that the halftime show received many FCC complaints, with some likening the performance to a “strip club act.” One critic even asked, “’How can they put this on when children are watching? It was like a porno show.’”

2019: The Maroon 5 controversy

Maroon 5’s performance was already mired in controversy long before they even hit the stage. Being announced as the 2019 halftime show performers alongside rapper Travis Scott and OutKast member Big Boi, the group caused controversy for accepting the gig amid the Colin Kaepernick debacle.

The controversy began with Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem, which drew highly polarized reactions. Some praised the football player for his political act of silence, while others lambasted him for disrespecting the national anthem. Nevertheless, several artists including Pink, Cardi B and Rihanna turned down the halftime gig to show their support with the dissenting football player.

Maroon 5 instead took up the gig and created a one-of-a-kind moment — and not for good reason. The performance was highly criticized by many media outlets, with New York Times’ Jon Caramanica noting the performance “was dynamically flat, mushy at the edges, worthy of something much worse than derision: a shrug.”

2017: Lady Gaga jumps from the NRG Stadium roof

Lady Gaga kicked off her performance in an epic – and meme-worthy – way in 2017. She made a (relatively) convincing 300-foot dive from the NRG Stadium roof and by the time cameras panned back on her, she was on the field, ready to sing.

2016: Beyoncé & Bruno Mars crash the show

It was Coldplay’s turn to take the stage in 2016, but the band was quickly overshadowed when Beyoncé and Bruno Mars popped on stage. The stars battled for the crowd’s attention, with Beyoncé belting “Formation” and Bruno Mars’ rivaling with his hit song “Uptown Funk.”

Oh, and did we mention Beyoncé’s outfit? It was a tribute to Michael Jackson’s epic 1993 performance (which you can read more about below).

2015: #LeftShark becomes a viral sensation

It’s unclear if the country remembers anything from Katy Perry’s performance other than left shark, because, well, it’s left shark.

Perry performed “Teenage Dream” in front of two bright blue sharks. One of the sharks left the audience in stitches with his “interesting” dance moves.

2013: Blackout

OK, so this didn’t technically happen during the halftime show, but it was an unforgettable moment in the NFL’s big game history.

The power went out in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La., minutes after Beyoncé concluded her epic halftime show with Destiny’s Child.

Play was suspended for 34 minutes. And while it may not have been caused by the halftime show, many people still blamed Beyoncé, saying her electrifying performance shut the stadium down.

But NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell quickly squashed those rumors.

“There’s no indication at all that this was caused by the halftime show. Absolutely not,” Goodell told The Associated Press after the game. “I know that’s been out there that this halftime show had something to do with it. That is not the case.”

2012: Madonna channels Cleopatra

Madonna took her moniker as the Queen of Pop to another level when she rocked Indiana’s Lucas Oil Stadium with an Egyptian-themed performance.

Appearing with a horde of shirtless and very jacked gladiators, the Queen of Pop made her grand entrance upon a golden throne dressed as Cleopatra.

She performed “Strike a Pose” as she struck many poses in a matching gold gown and a menacing headdress.

2008: “Runnin’ Down a Dream” with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Tom Petty didn’t need the glitz and the glam to sell his performance.

All it took was his guitar and a wealth of talented musicians to get the crowd of 71,000 jumping and singing along to the classic sounds of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

The late singer, who died in 2017, captivated audiences as he and his fellow bandmates played hits including “Free Fallin’,” “American Girl,” “I Won’t Back Down” and “Runnin’ Down a Dream” in an iconic performance free from controversy.

2007: “Purple Rain” in the rain

Prince was prepared for the torrential downpour that occurred during the 2007 halftime show in Miami, Florida.

Producer Don Mischer told Rolling Stone that he called up Prince hours before the big show to warn him about the weather.

“I want you to know it’s raining,” Mischer said. “Are you OK?”

“Can you make it rain harder?” Prince simply replied.

The star knew just what to do: He closed his epic performance with the perfect song, “Purple Rain.”

2004: The “wardrobe malfunction”

Many have dubbed the incident between Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson “nipplegate.”

Jackson said Timberlake was planning to rip her corset off to show her red lace bra, but he took off an extra layer of clothing by accident. She immediately apologized for the incident.

Timberlake, however, was criticized for claiming in an interview following the incident that the nudity was planned.

“It was fun. It was quick, slick, to the point,” he told Access Hollywood after the incident. “Hey man, we love giving you all something to talk about.”

He eventually walked back that statement and has since said he’s moved on from the dramatic “wardrobe malfunction.”

“It’s just one of those things were you go, like, ‘Yeah, what do you want me to say?'” Timberlake said in an interview ahead of his 2018 halftime performance. “We’re not going to do that again.”

2003: Girl power

The 2003 halftime performance was one full of girl power.

Country star Shania Twain took to the stage with her hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” Twain rocked the crowd as she donned a glamorous dress that showed off plenty of skin. Twain, however, was not the only female performer on the bill.

Gwen Stefani’s band, No Doubt, soon followed Twain with a performance of “Just a Girl,” adding the finishing touch to the empowering performance.

1993: Michael Jackson’s long pause

This one is pretty self-explanatory.

Michael Jackson opened with a very silent bang. The singer stood on stage for about two minutes as the crowd roared with applause.

“Michael, he always said, ‘Make them wait for it. You got to marinate in it. You got to sit with it, so you build anticipation.’ And that’s what he did,” Jamie King, one of Jackson’s former backup dancers, told the NFL.

Eventually, Jackson slowly removed his glasses, queuing his band to start playing.
