Prince Harry Book Sales Big

Prince Harry’s memoir Spare released on Tuesday amid a flurry of media appearances has already sold over 1.4 million copies.  Per Penguin Random House, the publishers of the record-setting memoirs by Barack and Michelle Obama, the book’s sales from the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom include hardcover, audiobook, and e-book versions.  Spare sold 400,000 copies in the United Kingdom alone, making it the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the country’s history.  “We always knew this book would fly but it is exceeding even our most bullish expectations,” Larry Finlay, the managing director of Transworld Penguin Random House, told The Guardian.  “As far as we know, the only books to have sold more in their first day are those starring the other Harry [Potter].”  In the memoir, Harry details his tumultuous relationship with the British royal family including his father King Charles, and his brother Prince William.  Reportedly, Spare was sold for $20 million as part of an overall deal that includes his wife Meghan and other book projects the couple may release.

Felicity Huffman Is Back At Work

Felicity Huffman has returned to work, years after she was convicted in the college admissions scandal.  She will reportedly appear in the pilot episode for ABC’s “The Good Lawyer,” a spinoff of “The Good Doctor.” The episode will premiere on March 6, according to ABC News.  Huffman pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud in 2019. The “Desperate Housewives” actress paid $15,000 to have her daughter’s SAT scores inflated. Huffman served 11 days of her 14-day jail sentence.  Huffman was also hit with a $30,000 fine along with one year of probation and 250 hours of community service.  “I accept the court’s decision today without reservation,” Huffman said at the time of her sentencing. “I have always been prepared to accept whatever punishment Judge Talwani imposed. I broke the law. I have admitted that and I pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions. Period.”  Lori Loughlin also spent significant time behind bars for her own involvement.  She and her husband Mossimo Giannulli paid $500,000 in bribes to have their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as rowing recruits in 2019.
*******Are we sure Felicity is an actress?? Or did she pay someone to cast her in this show???

Julia Roberts Discovers Her Family Roots

Julia Roberts was shocked to learn on a recent episode of Ancestry’s “Finding Your Roots” that her great-great-grandmother Rhoda Suttle Roberts had an affair with a married man after her husband, Willis Roberts, passed away.   “Digging into Georgia’s County archives, we discovered that sometime in the 1850s, Rhoda married a man named Willis Roberts,” Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. explained.  “Julia carries Willis’ last name, but Willis passed away in 1864, over a decade before Rhoda gave birth to Julia’s great-grandfather, John, leading to an inescapable conclusion.”  Through DNA archives and genealogical work, Gates discovered Willis “could not possibly” be her great-great-grandfather.  “He was dead,” the historian revealed.  A visibly shocked Julia then asked, “But am I not a Roberts?”  Gates shared that he examined the A-lister’s DNA in an attempt to find a match for her biological great-great-grandfather.  “We found a cluster of matches that tie Julia and her cousin to one man: Henry McDonald Mitchell Jr.,” the Harvard University professor noted.  “So, we’re Mitchells?” Julia asked, with Gates then confirming that she is indeed “Julia Mitchell.”  In an even more scandalous twist, the “Finding Your Roots” host said Henry was married to a woman named Sarah, with whom he shared six children, when he dated Julia’s great-great-grandmother.  “Truly my mind is blown,” she said.
********Julia Roberts is a bastard great-grandchild??? WTH???
*******This confirms our analysis: the human race is a hot mess!!!

Dr. Dre To Sell His Song Rights

Dr. Dre is nearing a deal to sell his music catalog and streaming ventures for more than $200 million, Variety reported Wednesday.  Dre, who is estimated to be worth $820 million, is said to be gearing up to sign on the dotted line to hand over ownership to Shamrock Holdings and Universal Music Group.  The Beats Electronics co-founder’s package is set to make him a cool $10 million a year, according to the report. It includes percentages of two of his solo albums, his share of N.W.A. artist royalties, his producer royalties and the writer’s share of his song catalog.  The package reportedly does not include ownership rights to the label Aftermath, which Dre co-owns with Interscope Records.  The lucrative offer comes after the Grammy winner agreed to pay his ex-wife, Nicole Young, $100 million in a property settlement agreement in Dec. 2021. The agreement said Dre would keep their real estate properties and rights to his music and stock options, including the money earned from his sale of Beats by Dre.

Giant Boulder Lands On Car

A California man said a phone call led him to get out of his parked car just moments before it was crushed by a falling boulder.  Mauricio Henao said he was parked outside his home at the side of a hill in the 20000 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu when he got out of his car to answer a phone call from his girlfriend, who asked him to retrieve something from inside the house.  “I just heard loud crashes,” Henao told KTLA-TV. “And I ran out and saw my car just crushed.”  The 4-foot boulder landed on the roof of Henao’s car, caving it in.  “The rock is the size of the whole hood,” Henao said. “The windshields are all broken and the frame of the car is just all twisted.” See the video HERE.

Butter River

A historic Wisconsin canal was filled with butter Monday evening after a fire broke out at a historic dairy plant.   Firefighters in Portage, Wisconsin were called to the Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) plant after 9 p.m. Monday for a fire alarm.  Fire crews attempted to gain access to the building, but heavy smoke and, primarily, butter runoff prevented them from entering, the Portage Fire Department said.   Fire Chief Troy Haase told WMTV that firefighters were “up to their knees” in butter.  “When we first tried to go up the stairs to that part that collapsed, this stuff, the butter was running down like 3 inches thick on the steps so our guys were up to their knees trying to go up the steps to get to the top, and they’re trying to drag the hose line, the hose line got so full of butter they couldn’t hang onto it anymore,” Haase said.  The Fire Department later determined that the blaze had started in the room where butter was being stored. As it heated, the butter began to flow throughout the structure.

11 Things Toddler Parents Say They’ll Never Do Again

HUFFINGTON POST

  1. Take A Toddler To The Ballet

“Tickets to ‘The Nutcracker’ were expensive, and my daughter was terrified of the ‘large rats’ onstage at the beginning of the show. We had to leave immediately, and I gave the tickets to two teens outside the venue.” — Tanja K.

  1. Fail To Keep Permanent Markers Under Lock And Key

“I left a permanent marker on the counter after doing some labeling, and my toddler son found it and drew on our couch and wall.” — Dr. Stephanie Liu

  1. Let Their Kids Watch A Show They Can’t Stand

“I would never have introduced them to ‘Caillou.’” — Libby A.

  1. Make Their Kids Wear Matching Outfits

“My boys are a year apart, and I always had them wear coordinating outfits right down to hats and socks. When my older one was 3, we were going to a birthday party and I wanted him to change his clothes. It ended up being a screaming fight where I was hovering over him and terrifying him. Completely not worth it. That was the ugliest parenting moment, and I never did it again. I have to say I absolutely love the zany outfits they put together. Their individual personalities really began to emerge.” — Shannon Y.

  1. Take Their Toddler To A Wake

“I took my 3-year-old to a wake where she said, ‘Hey! What’s that lady doing sleeping in that toy box!’” — Laurine F.

  1. Or A Funeral

“It was an outdoor funeral, in summer, during the heat of the day, at nap time. Beyond regret getting talked into that one, but grief skewed my logic and I got guilted into bringing my toddler so Grandma could ‘show her off’ one last time. I’ve learned to trust my instincts significantly better after that.” — Theresa C.

  1. Assume The Restaurant Will Have A Kid Activity

“When I was a kid, literally every restaurant I went to had [some] coloring menus and crayons. Unfortunately, as a parent, I assumed this was standard. Turns out, I was wrong. Some places still have something to entertain your kids while you wait for food, but many places don’t have these options anymore. Now I always come prepared with a backup plan: a cheap coloring book and a set of washable markers or colored pencils in a Ziploc bag. I keep it in the car [and] toss it in my purse on the way in to almost anywhere. Why not crayons? Because they will melt in a hot car in the summertime.” — Gina McMillen

  1. Allow Sparkles In Their Home

“I will never again buy anything containing glitter or confetti.” — Shoshawna H.

  1. Or Slime, For That Matter

“I would never make slime, buy slime, anything slime.” — Rebecca V.

  1. Try To Make Their Kid Sit In A Shopping Cart

“Once my kids learned to walk, they no longer had an interest in sitting in shopping carts or strollers. They were ready to just go! I remember, for a time, I would try to get them to sit in the cart, but when I changed my mindset to finding ways to have them participate in the shopping trip instead of sitting in the cart, life got easier.  Eventually, I started to look forward to shopping trips as a way for my busy toddler to burn off energy and learn a little bit as well. I will never forget the big smile my son would have on his face when he was able to find the item that we were searching for and be able to ‘help’ me put it in the cart!” — Kayla O’Neill

  1. Let Mom Guilt Get The Best Of Them

“I would never again feel guilty about everything I was doing ‘wrong.’ In hindsight, I did just fine.” — Heather J.
