Lisa Marie’s Twins Won’t Return Home
Lisa Marie Presley’s twin daughters are “too traumatized” to return to their Los Angeles home after the sudden death of their mother, according to reports. Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14, have been spending time with their grandmother, Priscilla Presley, and their half-sister, Riley Keough, following the tragedy, TMZ reported. Lisa Marie, the only child of rock and roll legend Elvis and Priscilla Presley, died Jan. 12 after she went into cardiac arrest in her Calabasas, Calif. home. She was 54. And it seems as though the twins can’t shake the thought of returning to the home Lisa Marie fell faint in. Harper and Finley’s father, Michael Lockwood, has reportedly been keeping the girls under his watchful eye as they process the devastating news. Lisa Marie was married to the guitarist for a decade after tying the knot in 2006. His lawyer, Joe Yanny, said last week that his “world has been turned on its ear.” “Michael had been hoping for a speedy and complete recovery because her children needed her,” Yanny said. “It is very sad it didn’t turn out that way.” It was recently revealed that Graceland, the iconic sprawling estate that once belonged to Elvis, will go to Riley, Harper, and Finley.

Alec Baldwin Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter
Alec Baldwin will be charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter over the fatal shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, prosecutors announced Thursday. Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said in a statement that the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who oversaw the weapons on set, will also be charged with involuntary manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of 18 months in jail. “After a thorough review of the evidence and the laws of the state of New Mexico, I have determined that there is sufficient evidence to file criminal charges against Alec Baldwin and other members of the ‘Rust’ film crew,” Carmack-Altwies said. “On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice,” she continued. Hutchins was fatally shot on the set of the Western film on Oct. 21, 2021, after Baldwin’s prop gun discharged a live round, which hit her in the chest. She was 42 years old. The movie’s director, Joel Souza, was also wounded, but the DA said Thursday that no charges will be filed specific to his injuries. His attorney called the charge against his client “a terrible miscarriage of justice.” “Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun — or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds,” Luke Nikas of Quinn Emanuel law firm says. “We will fight these charges, and we will win.”

Naomi Judd Suicide Note
Naomi Judd wrote in what appears to be her chilling suicide note that she did not want her “mentally ill” daughter Wynonna Judd to attend her funeral. Radar Online obtained a photo of the message, written on a yellow Post-it note, from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee on Tuesday. “Do not let Wy come to my funeral,” the note read. “She’s mentally ill.” The word “not” was underlined, indicating how strongly Naomi allegedly felt about banning Wynonna from her services. A source close to Wynonna told the outlet that she is “crushed” by her mom’s last words. “Wy knows better than anyone the mental struggles Naomi went through, but it just crushes her to think her mom’s dying thoughts were so vicious,” a friend said. She died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in April 2022 at the age of 76. She had struggled with her mental health for several years.

Mick Jagger Joins TikTok
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger joined TikTok Thursday, more than a year after bandmate Keith Richards made his debut on the popular social media app. Jagger’s first post shows him dancing in his studio to the 1968 hit “Sympathy for the Devil” as he welcomes his fans. “Hello, TikTok! We have joined your world,” the 79-year-old legend declares. “So excited to see what you create with our music.” Jagger signs off the 21-second clip with his signature yowl. But some US TikTokers have reported an error message, where the app says the iconic song is “not available” in their country. A TikTok rep told Variety the sound was “unavailable due to a technical glitch, not a rights issue.” The app launched the official hashtag #TheRollingStones to celebrate Jagger’s jump to the platform, inviting users to share their Stones covers and moves like Jagger. Joe Exotic Laughs Off Carole Baskin Claims
‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic has responded to Carole Baskin’s resurfaced claims that her ex-husband has been found alive. He has shared his views on Baskin’s comments. The news follows claims made by Baskin that her missing former husband has been found ‘alive’ in Costa Rica. This comes as somewhat as a shock, especially considering that Joe Exotic alleged that Baskin fed her ex-husband to tigers when he went missing back in 1997. Don Lewis was declared legally dead some five years later in 2002. However, Baskin claimed Lewis had actually already been found alive in Netflix’s follow-up series Tiger King 2 two years ago – yet oddly no one seemed to take much note. In an interview with ITV’s This Morning talk show, Baskin opened up about how Tiger King 2 massively helped in tracking down Lewis. Baskin said: “They said that my husband, Don Lewis, is alive and well in Costa Rica.” Exotic responded with a firm “No he is not.” Additionally, Exotic shared a statement issued by John Phillips, his attorney, to Facebook yesterday (January 18). It reads: “During the filming of Tiger King, detailed efforts were made to find Don Lewis. They all failed. He is not alive.”

Prince Harry Drops In Favorability
While book sales have soared up and up since his memoir Spare was released last week, it seems Prince Harry’s popularity has been heading in the other direction. According to the respected polling company YouGov, Harry’s ‘favorability rating’ with the British public has been on a downward trend since 2018. Meghan’s popularity is even lower than Harry’s, with just 8% of the public saying they have a positive view of her. Among over-65s, Harry and Meghan are even more disliked that Prince Andrew. Some 60% of this generation have a “very” negative view of Prince Andrew, compared to 69% for Meghan and 73% for Prince Harry. When it comes to the reception to Spare, 41% of people thought his main motivation for writing it was to make money, while 21% believed the main motivation was for the prince to “tell his own story”. The Duke of Sussex’s controversial memoir has become the fastest-selling non-fiction book in the UK since records began in 1998.

Netflix Posts High Paying Odd Job
Netflix wants to hire a flight attendant for one of its private jets, and says pay can reach $385,000, according to a job listing on the streaming service’s website. While the job description on Netflix’s website doesn’t specify an exact salary, the posting says the “overall market range” for the position ranges from $60,000 to $385,000 in total compensation. The flight attendant will operate out of San Jose International airport and fly on a G550 Super midsized jet, according to the company. Specifications for the position, laid out by Netflix, require the flight attendant to be based in Northern California and to “embrace the Netflix culture of freedom and responsibility.” The position require the employee to be FAA-certified, able to assist procuring aircraft stock before trips, and able to carry 30-pound bags.

Class Ring Returned Years Later
A class ring that went missing decades ago has been returned to its original owner. The Texas woman who owned the ring thought she had misplaced it, but it was actually stolen and admitted as evidence in a 1986 drug trial. Parker County District Attorney Jeff Swain discovered the class ring, along with an Air Force ring, in an envelope in a filing cabinet in the basement of the District Courts building in Weatherford, Texas. The only clue to the original ownership of the Dupo High School Class of 1956 ring was an engraving of the initials. P.W. Swain set out to find the ring’s original owner by obtaining records about the 1956 graduating class at Dupo High School in Illinois. He found that only one graduating student had the initials P.W., a woman named Peggy Wall. Swain solicited help from District Attorney investigator Wendy Bravo, who used a 1950 census to locate Wall’s family, who then informed Bravo that Wendy was living in Keller, Texas.

Cows Required To Wear Diapers
A Tennessee farmer condemned the idea of forcing cows to wear masks and diapers to contain their methane emissions, saying the people who came up with the idea have “gone to loony town.” French dairy giant Danone announced in mid-January it plans to put masks and diapers on cows to trap their flatulence and burps in an effort to reduce methane emissions by 30% come 2030. Stephanie Nash called the whole thing udder madness Wednesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” “Well, Tucker, you know, I’m not going to wear a mask. I’m not going to allow my cows to wear a mask,” she said, Nash put a mask on one of her cows during the interview to test the theory but explained “she’s not having it” and is “struggling to breathe.” Livestock, especially cows and cattle, produce methane, a dangerous greenhouse gas that warms the atmosphere, as part of their normal digestive process, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. New data from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition found livestock emissions-manure and gastroenteric releases – account for roughly 30% of methane emissions. Nash told host Tucker Carlson her farm is doing “big things to cut emissions.”

The Rudest Things You Can Do In A Group Fitness Class

Arriving late
“Arrive a few minutes early to find your spot and be sure you are ready when the instructor is ready to start,” advised Jodi R.R. Smith, president of Mannersmith Etiquette Consulting.
You disrupt the class when you get there late, so some studios even have late-arrival policies. Don’t assume they’ll make an exception for you. Be mindful if you might have to leave early as well.
“Plan to stay to the very end,” Leighton said. “But if you do need to leave the class early for some reason, a front row yoga mat isn’t for you. Take a spot closest to the door that’ll minimize the disruption.”
Chatting with your friends during class
Attending a fitness class with your friends can be an enjoyable activity, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right time to socialize.
“Make lengthy small talk after or before class,” advised Diane Gottsman, an etiquette expert, author of “Modern Etiquette for a Better Life” and founder of the Protocol School of Texas. “Talking over the instructor during the class is rude, as well as distracting.”
Hogging the water station
Most fitness studios offer water stations to keep people hydrated. Refrain from taking more than you need, however.
“When filling up your water bottle before class, ask yourself if you’ll really be drinking 128 ounces in the next hour or if maybe you don’t actually need to fill up your entire gallon-size jug while a long line of people forms behind you,” Leighton said.
Keeping your phone on
Ideally, you can keep your phone in a locker or otherwise stow it away during class. But if you need to have it in the room with you, don’t keep the volume on! “Nothing kills the vibe faster than someone’s phone going off,” Leighton said. “If you need to keep an eye on your phone during class, keep it on silent and take a spot in the back of the room closest to the door if you need to make a quick exit to take a call.”
Saving spots for your late friends
“Don’t put down towels or mats to hold space for someone who is running late,” Gottsman said. “Chances are they aren’t going to arrive at all and someone else will miss a prime spot.”
Smith similarly advised against “saving” spots or machines for your friends at the gym, especially since space is often limited.
“Many gyms now assign locations to avoid this ongoing issue,” she noted.
Monopolizing the instructor’s time
Remember that a group fitness class is different from a personal training session. Don’t use everyone’s workout time to have your own conversation with the instructor.
“Asking questions about form or to avoid injury are acceptable,” Smith said. “Monopolizing the instructor’s time is not.”
Not being mindful of space
“Your participation should not overtly impact others,” Smith said. “Yes, there are times to cheer, sweat, and move, but excessive grunting, sweating, or bumping into others’ space should be avoided.”
Be mindful of the studio’s size as you move around ― and even as you prepare for class.
“Here in New York, especially in winter time, our studios aren’t often big enough for everybody plus their gym bags plus their coats,” Leighton said. “Bring just the essentials into the studio whenever possible.”
Sporting offensive slogans
People’s workout clothes and water bottles often have words on them ― and you should be mindful about what might be printed on your gear.
“Be aware of any slogans on your workout wear,” Smith said. “Avoid pictures and/or slogans which could be offensive to others ― racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, antisemitic, or even fatphobic images are best avoided.”
Ignoring the instructor’s movement
Gottsman pointed to the importance of trying to follow directions as closely as possible ― at least within reason.
“While you are encouraged to exercise at your own pace, doing something completely different means you might be better in a different group,” she said. “In other words, people behind you often follow your lead and doing a samba instead of a downward dog shows you are not closely aligned with the class you chose.”
Not wiping down equipment
Before you leave, you’ll need to wipe down the mats or pieces of equipment you were sweating all over, unless the studio tells you otherwise. This is one important way to show consideration to the people in the next class.
“In busy venues, be sure to gather your belongings, wipe down any equipment and exit quickly to allow the next class to begin on time,” Smith said.
Being unsupportive of others
“This is not middle school,” Smith emphasized. “Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. And people attend classes at all levels of fitness. Endeavor to be inclusive and supportive.”
Even if you’re a regular at a particular class and feel more comfortable, don’t forget to be friendly to everyone. “People tend to make friends with people in their fitness class, but don’t leave out new people who are joining,” Gottsman urged. “If you see them struggle to find the location for equipment or look like they might have a question, reach out and offer help.”
