Did Wendy Williams’ Producers Do Anything To Help Her?
Wendy Williams’ ex-husband claims producers of “The Wendy Williams Show” would not “sign off” on agreeing to get the eponymous talk show host help to aid in her recovery from addiction issues. Kevin Hunter tells Page Six exclusively that Debmar-Mercury didn’t want to engage in any activity that would take Williams away from her iconic purple chair. “Debmar would not support Wendy’s recovery efforts with the family,” Hunter says. “They would not sign off on anything that would’ve helped her recovery efforts.” He further claims that Williams’ family attended an intervention of sorts with Debmar-Mercury in which he and the group discussed how to further aid Williams in her battle with alcoholism. “They sat in a meeting with her whole family, including her now-deceased mom, and would not sign off on the recovery efforts that would’ve helped Wendy also get well and live and be sober. They basically said, ‘If you don’t stop drinking, you’re going to lose the show.’” The intervention took place about a month and a half before Hunter would go on to welcome a child with Sharina Hudson and after Williams worked full-time while living in a sober house.
*********Telling someone that they’re gonna lose their TV show if they don’t stop drinking?? That IS an intervention!!

Madonna Won’t Sell Her Music Catalog
Despite the fact that high-profile artists from Bruce Springsteen and Sting to Justin Timberlake and Bob Dylan have unloaded their music catalogs for big money, Madonna will not be joining them. “They’re my songs. Ownership is everything isn’t it?” she said in a recent interview with Variety. “I mean, that’s why [manager Guy Oseary is] buying [NFTs].” Though she is standing firm in not wanting to sell her catalog, she’s certainly not opposed to adding to it. She said she’s currently on the hunt for “interesting, fun ways” to rerelease her catalog and “introduce my music to a new generation.” “The whole thing with ‘Frozen’ was so fun, but I woke up one day and went, ‘I’m sick of living in the past!'” she said. “I want to go on tour again, I’m a creature of the stage. That is my happy place.” A Sickick remix of Madonna’s 1998 hit “Frozen” featuring Fireboy DML went viral on TikTok last year, and the star capitalized on the renewed popularity by officially releasing the remix in December. “I was like, ‘Hey, wait a minute. What is this? This is my song,'” the star told PEOPLE in May. “It all happened by divine inspiration, I guess, because then once I heard them, I wanted to make more of them and do new versions of them that had different people singing on them and doing their take on it.”
*********Sorry… we just woke up. Who is she, again???

William Shatner’s Wallet Found At A Local Fruit Stand
Gary Tognetti’s daughter and her friend were manning his fruit stand in Gilroy, Calif., last week when an older man asked for some cold cherries for his drive down to Beverly Hills. After the man drove off, the girls noticed a wallet had been left behind. It was sitting in a bin of corn. It was only the next day that Tognetti’s 15-year-old daughter showed him the wallet. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Tognetti thought when he opened it, he told The Washington Post. The driver’s license inside belonged to none other than William Shatner, who played the iconic “Star Trek” character James T. Kirk. Tognetti’s daughter and her friend recognized him only as the man who bought the cold cherries. Tognetti, 50, is a fourth-generation farmer who grew up in Gilroy, a city about an hour’s drive south of San Francisco that’s known for its garlic. Tognetti said he mostly grows corn, cherries, lettuce, tomatoes and peppers on about 3,500 acres at B&T Farms. He also runs a couple of local roadside produce stands and grew up working at them. He told ABC7 that his department got in touch with the Beverly Hills Police Department and was eventually connected to Shatner’s agent. In the end, it took less than two hours. “They actually FedExed it that Thursday, and he had it by Friday,” Tognetti said.
********His daughter is being charged with “Making a Celebrity Forget Their Wallet,” which is a felony in California!!

Meghan Markle Defends “Only Child” Claims
Meghan Markle denied this week that she lied to Oprah Winfrey about being an “only child” in her tell-all interview last year. Her legal team said in a court filing in connection to her half-sister Samantha Markle’s defamation lawsuit that Meghan made a “subjective” statement about how she felt about her childhood. “Meghan’s response to that question that she ‘grew up as an only child’ was obviously not meant to be a statement of objective fact that she had no genetic siblings or half-siblings,” her legal team said in the filing. “Rather, it was a textbook example of a subjective statement about how a person feels about her childhood.” The filing claimed that Samantha Markle “ignored the context” of Winfrey’s question, which was about Meghan’s “relationship” with her half-sister, who is 17 years older than her and was raised in another home. It said her sister’s contention that she can disprove that Meghan grew up as an only child is “inherently unfalsifiable. It is hard to imagine a more personal and subjective feeling than how one views their own childhood.” Samantha Markle sued Meghan in March for $75,000, claiming her statement that she “grew up as an only child” was defamatory because Meghan made her half-sister look like an “opportunist of the worst kind” who wanted to cash in on having a famous relative.
********Isn’t that what she ALREADY looked like??
****Between Meghan, her father and her half-siblings, we can’t find ANYBODY to root for!!!
******The whole family are “opportunists of the worst kind!!”
Brad Pitt Was Almost Served At The SAG Awards
Lawyers for Angelina Jolie were so desperate to serve Brad Pitt with a subpoena as part of the bitter tangle of lawsuits over the exes’ French winery that they stationed process servers at the glitziest events in Hollywood in hopes of catching him off guard. We’re told they even sent a guy to confront him with the documents at the 2022 SAG Awards in February, and insiders say they likely would have tried again at the Oscars but Pitt’s lawyers called off the chase before Hollywood’s biggest night rolled around. Sources say that servers had been having a hard time trying to hand Pitt the papers — which makes it a legal requirement for someone to respond to a court — and were hoping he would show up at the SAG Awards as a previous winner (for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” in 2020) even though he was not nominated this year. It seems to be something of a trendy tactic right now. Olivia Wilde was memorably served with papers relating to her custody battle with Jason Sudeikis in April while giving a speech on stage during a CinemaCon event. Jolie’s lawyers were trying to subpoena Pitt to hand over records and correspondence related to the Château Miraval winery.

Bear Rings Doorbell
A South Carolina woman’s security camera captured video of the moment a bear strolled onto her front porch and rang the doorbell in the middle of the night. Wendy Watson said the doorbell camera at her Greenville County home started recording about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, triggered by the motion of a bear that wandered up to her front door. The video shows the bear reach out with its paw to ring the doorbell. “The bear kind of ambled up on the porch and was reaching up around the doorbell and there was a little nose print on the window that you can see,” Watson told WHNS-TV. “He looked around a little bit and went back down. and while he was out here, he ate a lot of bird seed.” Watson said the bear is a regular visitor to her neighborhood and has destroyed two of her bird feeders. Rowing Team Sails To Hawaii
An all-female rowing team broke a world record by rowing more than 2,400 nautical miles from California to Hawaii in 34 days, 14 hours and 11 minutes. Libby Costello, Sophia Denison-Johnston, Brooke Downes and Adrienne Smith, also known as the Lat35 crew, set off from San Francisco in June and arrived in Honolulu on Tuesday morning. The four-woman team set a world record for the fastest time to make the journey unassisted for an all-female team. “I think something that I want people to take away is that these women are so incredible but we’re not superhuman. There’s nothing that we were born with that makes us any different than anybody else,” Downes told Good Morning America after arriving in Hawaii. The team’s journey raised money for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.

Exotic Cat On The Loose In Long Island
Animal rescuers in the Long Island region of New York are urging residents to keep watch for a large exotic cat spotted wandering the area. The Strong Island Animal Rescue League said the cat was spotted wandering loose this week in Islip. Rescuers urged residents to call 911 or local rescue groups while keeping a safe distance from the animal. The Strong Island Animal Rescue League did not identify the species of the exotic feline, but another local group, Humane Long Island, said the cat appears to be a lynx.

Burglar Leaves Keys Behind
A Northern California burglar returned to the scene of the crime this weekend after he forgot his keys inside a doughnut company’s corporate office. The thief stole some petty cash from Johnny Doughnuts’ office in the San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday night, police said. In another twist, he also grabbed the keys to a bakery vehicle, but didn’t steal the vehicle itself. San Rafael police are seeking the public’s help to identify the burglar, who used an unknown tool to “manipulate” the office’s doorknob and get inside around 10 p.m., according to Lt. Dan Fink. The crime was reported to police on Monday. Surveillance video shows the man moving between the office and a back storage area, where he pried open a filing cabinet, Fink said. The lieutenant said the thief took a bank bag with an unknown amount of cash.

The Weirdest Things IT Workers Have Found On Company Laptops
HUFFINGTON POST
- Porn
Well, duh. Still, some company laptops turned in by employees, usually when they’re leaving the job but also when they’re simply upgrading to a better laptop, contain a surprising amount of sexual material. “There are times I’ve done scans across company computers or tracked internet activity to find that an executive was watching six to eight hours of porn every … single … day,” said Nizel Adams, owner of Nizel Corp, an information technology consultation services company in Chicago.
Adams said that some people leave behind their own X-rated photos, sometimes mixed in with their family photos.
- Illegally Downloaded Movies, Music And TV
This is also pretty common, according to Adams. “Trust me, at least 3% to 5% of employees at every company are doing it,” he said. An executive working for one of Adams’ clients was distributing cellular hot spots to sales reps.
“Keep in mind these hot spots were using a shared pool of data. So when one or two hot spots start using 200-plus GB of data a month when everyone is supposed to be using only 4 GB, it’s noticeable and affects everyone. The overage charges were astronomical. We’re talking hundreds of thousands of dollars accumulated over a certain period of time,” he said.
- Old Love Letters
Andreas Grant is a network security engineer in Stockholm, Sweden, and runs a website, Networks Hardware, which helps people choose the right networking equipment for their home. But Grant started his career as an IT assistant and was in charge of handling a company’s employee laptops. He said that he once found a returned employee laptop that had a love letter on it — an incomplete love letter.
“Both the intended receiver and the writer were still working in the office, so it did feel weird to have that knowledge. I didn’t end up reporting any of it, but it definitely was a great lesson for me to be careful,” Grant said.
It’s something to keep in mind — if you’re holding a torch for somebody in your office and you’ve put your feelings down in a Word document, think about whether you’d want all of your co-workers to know about it.
- An Unpublished Novel With Unflattering Observations
“We once found a novel that a staff member had written,” said Anthony Cummings, IT services director at Frank Recruitment Group, which specializes in recruiting IT professionals.
It was an ex-employee who had just turned in a laptop. “Nothing too unusual in that,” Cummings said — except that, as he started reading the 150,000 words, trying to discern its importance and if it could be erased, the setting and many of the characters started to seem really, really familiar.
The novel was essentially a fictionalized story about Frank Recruitment, and the characters were pretty unflattering, Cummings said.
- Weird Stuff On, Not In, The Laptop
Sometimes people close their laptops and leave stuff inside it, sandwiched between the monitor and keyboard.
Corey Donovan, president of Minnesota-based Alta Technologies, sees this a lot.
He said that his company, which buys and sells new, used and refurbished servers, removes drives immediately upon arrival for wiping and that the systems never actually get booted up. So Donovan doesn’t know what’s actually inside the laptops he gets, but what he sees on the outside of them is bad enough. Many of the laptops have gum, candy bars and pencils jammed inside them. (Alta Technologies gets a lot of laptops from schools.)
But plenty of adults leave stuff on their laptops, too, according to Donovan. “We’ve had many laptops come in with physical Post-it notes tagged on, detailing bank accounts, passwords, logins and even 12-word recovery phrases to crypto wallets,” Donovan said. “Our staff shreds any material like that, but not all downstream recipients may be as ethical.”
Eric Strickler is the CEO of PCRx Inc., a managed services provider for small and medium businesses. Years ago, however, his company repaired computers. He, too, has found really weird things smashed into laptops, ranging from the innocuous to the gross. On the innocuous side, a hair pin, safety pin and grits and oatmeal — somewhat normal, if weird. On the gross side: a condom, used; cat vomit; a person’s vomit; dead insects; a dead baby lizard; alcohol; urine.
Urine?
That happened a lot with laptops owned by college students. As for why, “I just never figured it out,” Strickler said.
- Criminal Activity
Yes, this happens, too. Adams said he was once getting rid of everything on an executive’s laptop and found videos of women’s feet and areas of the body that clothes would typically hide.
Adams thought the surrounding areas in the video — the carpet, the desk — looked familiar, and, sure enough, once he and a security guard investigated, there was a small web camera under the executive’s desk with wires leading to the laptop’s docking station. The company’s security team took it from there.
“Sometimes working in IT reminds you that there’s a much darker side of life that, thankfully, the vast majority of people can hope to never experience,” Adams said.
