In an interview for Gwyneth Paltrow’s website Goop, she and Brad Pitt discuss their past relationship and how they’ve been able to maintain a healthy, strong friendship. They were together in 1994 before calling off their engagement in 1997. During the interview, Paltrow mentioned her late father – who died in 2002 – and how “excited” he was to have Pitt as a son-in-law “though we didn’t get married, unfortunately,” Paltrow said to Pitt. “Right,” he responded with a laugh. “Oh man, everything works out, doesn’t it?” “Yes, it does. I finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry. It just took me 20 years,” Paltrow said, referencing her husband, Brad Falchuk. Bam Margera was found by authorities Wednesday hiding out in a Florida hotel room after he fled a nearby rehab facility two days earlier. He was sober and cooperative when he was picked up in Delray Beach by cops and a crisis intervention team, who took him back to the rehab facility located in the same city, sources told TMZ. Margera fled his court-ordered program on Monday after telling management he was “unsatisfied” with the restrictions at the center. Sources told the outlet his dissatisfaction stemmed from the lack of special celebrity treatment he was receiving, compared to his previous stints in other rehabs. The “Jackass” alum posted an Instagram photo on Tuesday. While cops were searching for Margera he was active on social media, posting a selfie with his wife Nicole Boyd, and Machine Gun Kelly on the day of his escape. On Tuesday, he posted a picture to Instagram of himself posing next to his “new AA sponsor.”

Beyoncé sent shockwaves across social media overnight as she announced her next album, “Renaissance,” will be out on July 29th. The news was shared in a tweet by the music streaming platform Tidal, which Queen Bey’s husband, Jay-Z, helped put on the map in 2015. This will be Beyoncé’s seventh studio album as a solo artist. It includes 16 tracks and appears to be a double album, as the tweet described “Renaissance” as “Act I.” Last week, eagle-eyed fans spotted her social media platforms had been wiped clean after her profile pictures were removed from her YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok pages, indicating that she was gearing up to announce a new era. The 28-time Grammy winner teased in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year that new music was on the way, saying, “I feel a renaissance emerging,” which evidently was a clue to the album’s title. “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again,” she told the magazine at the time.

Tom Hanks Blows Up At The Paparazzi and Fans
Tom Hanks has been seen angrily telling fans to “back off” after his wife Rita Wilson tripped while being surrounded as they left a restaurant in New York. He is currently promoting his latest film Elvis, in which he plays Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker. While leaving a restaurant and walking to a waiting car on Wednesday, Hanks and Wilson were approached by several fans, who asked for selfies. Hanks is seen shouting at the group after they caused his wife to trip. The footage, which includes strong language, has been uploaded to YouTube. In the video, a security guard is seen clearing the way for Hanks and Wilson to walk through the crowd as they leave the restaurant. Some members of the waiting crowd are seen attempting to take selfies with the pair. But when Wilson trips, apparently a result of being accidentally pushed by some members of the group, she turns and firmly tells one fan to “stop it”. Hanks then turns to face the group, puts his hands in the air, and shouts: “[That is] my wife, back the [expletive] off.” He looks at the group angrily, before adding: “Knocking over my wife.” The pair then leave the scene in a waiting car.

Joe Exotic No Longer Engaged
Joe Exotic is no longer engaged, but he might not be single either. He was dumped by his prison fiancé, John Graham — and now rumors are swirling that he is back together with estranged husband Dillon Passage. Exotic’s divorce attorney, Autumn Blackledge, told TMZ Thursday that John Graham, whom the breakout Netflix personality met in a Texas federal prison, ended his relationship with her client after being released in March. Graham had been locked up for burglary and possession of a firearm and was sentenced to more than 12 years behind bars, according to court documents. Exotic, for his part, is serving a 21-year sentence in an attempted murder-for-hire case involving fellow “Tiger King” star and animal welfare activist Carole Baskin.

Florida Man Faces Off With Gator
A Florida man taking photos and video of an alligator he spotted in a pond at a public park said he was surprised when the reptile lunged out of the water at him. Foster Thorbjornsen said he spotted the 8-to-10-foot gator in the water while he was walking at John S. Taylor Park in Largo. “He was the biggest alligator I have seen in the wild,” Thorbjornsen wrote in a Facebook post. Thorbjornsen said he looked away from the reptile to check the zoom lens on his camera and the animal “quickly swam to shore and charged at me.” “The timing of his charge was deliberate. He waited for me to turn and look away. It was nerve wracking and intense,” Thorbjornsen wrote. Thorbjornson said he “only a step or two back before quickly taking more shaky videos and pictures.” See the video HERE.

Back To The Future VHS Sells Big
A VHS copy of Back to the Future was sold for $75,000 by a Dallas-based auction house. Heritage Auctions said the 1986 VHS tape, from the collection of Back to the Future star Tom Wilson, fetched the high bid from a New York-based collector. The tape still was in its original shrink wrap and rated near-mint by experts, the auction house said. The final price is believed to be the highest sum ever paid for a VHS tape. The tape was auctioned alongside other vintage VHS tapes from the collection of Wilson, who played Biff Tannen and other members of the Tannen family across time in the Back to the Future trilogy. Wilson’s copy of Back to the Future Part II sold for $16,250, and his Back to the Future Part III VHS fetched a high bid of $13,750. His 1990 Back to the Future boxed set sold for $10,000. “This is the first box set sent out from the studio of the Back to the Future trilogy,” Heritage Auctions quoted Wilson as saying.

Court Rules Against Elephant
The New York Court of Appeals has ruled that “Happy” the elephant has no human writ of habeas corpus rights that would allow her to challenge her imprisonment at the Bronx Zoo. The 5-2 decision was written by Chief Judge Janet DiFiore with Judges Rowan Wilson and Jenny Rivera dissenting. “Because the writ of habeas corpus is intended to protect the liberty right of human beings to be free of unlawful confinement, it has no applicability to Happy, a nonhuman animal who is not a ‘person’ subjected to illegal detention,” DiFiore wrote. “Happy, as a nonhuman animal, does not have a legally cognizable right to be at liberty under New York law.” DiFiore said, “Granting legal personhood to a nonhuman animal in such a manner would have significant implications for the interactions of humans and animals in all facets of life, including risking the disruption of property rights, the agricultural industry (among others), and medical research efforts.” Dissenting judges saw it differently. “The majority erroneously claims that ‘the writ of habeas corpus is intended to protect the liberty right of human beings,’ and that habeas corpus is unavailable to Happy as a matter of law because she is not a ‘person’ subjected to illegal detention,” they wrote.

Mobile Home Blocks Traffic
Police in Virginia pulled over a vehicle hauling a house on a trailer after the vehicle ran into trouble, including becoming stuck in an intersection and hitting a bridge. Witnesses said the house-hauler attempted to merge onto Interstate 95 from Broad Street in Richmond on Tuesday evening, but ended up blocking four lanes of traffic and getting a tree branch stuck on the house roof. Virginia State Police said the house appeared on Virginia Department of Transportation traffic cameras after making it onto I-95, and officials noticed the plastic wrapping around the home had come loose and was being dragged behind the trailer. Troopers pulled the vehicle over a short time later after the roof of the house came into contact with a bridge. They said the bridge did not appear to be damaged. The driver, who was not injured, will be charged with a vehicle height violation, police said. Authorities said they later learned the house had been left behind due to trouble with several of the vehicles’ tires. It was retrieved by its owner and continued its journey to Oklahoma. How To Save Money Attending A Destination Wedding

Join up with a group
“Find travel mates!” suggested Pamela Capalad, founder and CEO of Brunch & Budget. “If you have friends or other folks you know also attending the wedding, often renting a bigger Airbnb with more bedrooms can bring the lodging costs down significantly, especially if you’re willing to take the fold-out couch.”
In addition to sharing a room or house with fellow wedding guests, you might also consider going in on other expenses together, like splitting a rental car.
“If the destination is a place you’d want to vacation, it might make financial sense to extend the wedding trip extra days to save money on flights back and forth, and also save on travel days and PTO,” Capalad said.
Extending the visit into a full-on vacation also allows you to fly there and back on weekdays when the flight costs are lower than those peak weekend prices.
“Typically, hotels and vacation rentals offer better rates for extended stays,” said Gina McKague, owner and founder of McKague Financial. “So, if you like the location, stick around a few days post-wedding and take advantage of cheaper lodging rates.”
Book early
“Most destination weddings are hosted in great vacation areas,” McKague said. “If you know you’re going to be attending a destination wedding, ensure you book your travel and lodging early. This will allow you to take advantage of the discounted room block and cheaper airfare.”
Capalad suggested looking up flights and lodging as early as six months before the wedding, if possible.
“That way, you’ll have the most options for lodging through places like Airbnb (with generous cancellation policies) and you’ll be able to watch plane ticket prices for a few weeks,” she said.
Don’t splurge on your outfit
“Since you’re the guest and not part of the wedding party, there’s no need to spend money to buy a new outfit for attending the wedding,” said Kara Stevens, founder of The Frugal Feminista and author of “Heal Your Relationship with Money.” “Look through your closet before going online or to the boutique for wedding-appropriate attire.”
If you want to wear something you haven’t worn before without paying a lot, consider buying secondhand through websites like ThredUp or borrowing an outfit from a friend or a clothing rental service.
“Check out rental sites like Rent the Runway and The Black Tux, which allows you to borrow designer gowns and nice suits for a fraction of the cost of buying one,” McKague said.
Make a budget
“Budgeting for a destination wedding should be done like any other budgeting ― write down your needs versus your wants,” McKague said.
She recommended determining what you’ll need to attend the wedding in terms of lodging, travel, food, clothing and gifts.
“Start budgeting as early as possible,” McKague added. “This way, you can know how much to set aside each paycheck for you to comfortably attend the wedding. Weddings are supposed to be a time of love and laughter. You wouldn’t want to attend a destination wedding while worrying how much debt you’ll be in once you get home.”
Book alternative accommodations
Remember, you don’t have to stay at the same hotel as the wedding party. Even with room block discounts, lodging can get expensive, so consider other options.
“You can search for nearby hotels that are cheaper in cost (after you consider how you’ll get to the wedding) and see if it makes sense to book there,” Stevens said.
Compare transit options
Just as you compare accommodations, make sure to do your research when it comes to transit to and from the destination. Take a look at the monetary and time costs for each option.
“If the destination wedding is within the U.S. and you can drive there, you may want to weigh the pros and cons of long-distance travel versus flying, especially with the cost of gas prices now,” Stevens said.
Work remotely
Many companies are still offering hybrid and remote work arrangements, which means you might not have to request very much PTO to go to a loved one’s destination wedding.
“With employees opting for WFH, attending a destination wedding in another country may not require you to take as many personal days as work-from-office arrangements do, which will also save you money in the long run,” Stevens said.
Don’t splurge on your gift
Couples know they’re asking a lot of their guests when they choose to tie the knot in a faraway location. In this sense, your presence can quite literally be a present.
Stevens believes you should consider the extra time, airfare and hotel costs required to get you to the celebration to part of your contribution. In many cases, the couple might even explicitly say that they don’t expect gifts.
If you still want to give them something, however, you can consider spending a little less on the wedding gift than you normally would.
“No need to spend an extra couple hundred dollars,” Stevens said.
Say no
Revenge travel might be all the rage at this stage of the pandemic, but the fact that it’s coinciding with an economic downturn means there might not be room in your budget for an expensive destination wedding.
“I know it can be hard to say no to a wedding, but if it will put you in a tough financial position, it’s OK to RSVP no and send a gift,” Capalad said. “You can find other ways to celebrate with the couple when they are back in town.”
