Kim Cattrall’s Rift With Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker recently spoke at length about the public rift between her and former “Sex and the City” costar Kim Cattrall, calling her former costar’s comments about “And Just Like That…” and her “very painful.”  “There just isn’t anyone else who’s ever talked about me this way, so it’s very painful,” Parker said on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast. The tension began making headlines in 2017 when news broke that a third “Sex and the City” movie “fell apart” Parker said on the podcast because of Cattrall’s reported demands. She said it had nothing to do with their relationship, but rather Cattrall’s expectations of the studio in her contract for the film.  “They didn’t feel comfortable meeting where she wanted to meet, and so we didn’t do the movie because we didn’t want to do it without Kim,” Parker said.  “Were we disappointed?” Parker said of herself and Nixon and Davis. “Sure, but it happens.”  “And then there were just a lot of public conversations about how she felt about the show,” Parker continued, noting that her, Nixon’s, and Davis’s experience on the show did not mirror what Cattrall was saying publicly.  These comments, Parker said, are a big part of the reason Cattrall was not included in the show’s reboot on HBO Max, “And Just Like That…”

Why Prince Charles Isn’t Rushing To Be King

Prince Charles has been stepping up to the plate as his mother, Queen Elizabeth, delegates more responsibilities to her eldest son and heir.  Just last month, he presided over the State Opening of Parliament, one of the monarch’s most important duties. True Royalty TV co-founder Nick Bullen, who has worked closely with Charles for about a decade, told Fox News Digital that the prince isn’t in a hurry to become king.  “[Charles] is the longest-serving Prince of Wales in history,” said Bullen. “And this is a job that he’s been preparing for his whole life. But I’ve filmed him, and we’ve got documentaries on True Royalty TV where he says this, that it’s not something that he wishes for because it’s an odd mix to wish for the top job. To be king is to wish for your mother to pass away. No one is going to wish for that.”  “He has really thrown himself into the job and is ready to be king when the moment comes,” Bullen shared. “But it’s not something that he is counting down the days for.”  Bullen noted that Charles has been enjoying carving out his role as future king as he takes on more responsibilities in support of his mother.  “The queen is very much alive, but you can feel this change happening,” said Bullen. “There’s an evolution happening. What’s really fascinating is that the queen, who has an unbelievable 70-year reign, has barely put a foot wrong. She is revered across the world as a state woman, as a world leader. The Prince of Wales will step into that role. The big challenge that he will face is ensuring that he can still make the monarchy feel relevant.”  “He’ll be potentially older when he does take on the crown,” Bullen shared. “The biggest challenge he will face is making this institution relevant to a young audience, in particular.”

Paris Hilton or Paris Jackson?

Local Hamptons singer Atlas performed as the opener for a private Paris Jackson show on Monday night, but had a bit of a flub when announcing Michael Jackson’s daughter to the stage, instead welcoming her as “Paris Hilton.”  Atlas profusely apologized — and then proceeded to run through every excuse in the book about why she made the faux-pas.  “I have been gigging all week,” she said to claps from a forgiving crowd. “I am a very tired woman. And I have three children. Please forgive me. I had COVID three weeks ago! I am tired!”  Jackson — who played the Hamptons gig as part of a celebration for Eva Longoria’s tequila Casa Del Sol — took it in stride, playing her folksy rock set of original tunes, despite having a neck injury from recently dancing too hard at a concert as a fan.  “I’m not super mobile tonight,” she said, explaining, “I gave myself whiplash head banging. If you have the chance to go see Cheap Trick, do so. I did it and I whipped my top off and it was really fun.”  Jackson — who released the album “Wilted” in 2020 — later added, “I’m in a lot of pain right now, but I am happy to be here.”

Prince Andrew Has COVID

Prince Andrew has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be attending events celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend, the palace announced on Thursday.  He had been expected to attend Friday’s National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral.  “After undertaking a routine test, The Duke has tested positive for Covid and with regret will no longer be attending tomorrow’s service,” a Buckingham Palace spokesman said. He has seen the Queen in the last few days but has been undertaking regular testing and has not seen her since he tested positive, a source confirms.  The Queen recovered from COVID-19 earlier this year after testing positive in February. She later commented that the virus “does leave one feeling very tired and exhausted, doesn’t it?”  While Thursday’s Trooping the Colour was limited to only working members of the royal family appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the traditional flypast, Friday’s service was expected to be a larger gathering of the extended family. Prince Andrew is no longer a working royal following his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Off to greener pastures?  On May 21, Pete Davidson joined castmates Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Kyle Mooney in bidding adieu to Saturday Night Live.  And according to a source, his girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, played a significant role in the comedian’s decision to exit the show after eight seasons.  “Kris is promising much bigger and lucrative roles in media and movies,” says the source, noting that the famed momager, 66, is eager to turn Davidson, 28-who’s been dating Kardashian, 41, since October-into a major band.  “Kris wants to profit from being Pete’s manager, and he absolutely trusts anything Kim advises.”

Riders Left Upside Down

Passengers on a Pennsylvania amusement park ride were left suspended upside-down in the air due to a mid-ride malfunction.  Kennywood Park in West Mifflin confirmed the Aero 360 ride malfunctioned and left riders stranded upside-down for a short time.  “Maintenance staff responded, quickly brought the ride back to its designated rest position, and safely evacuated the riders,” Kennywood General Manager Mark Pauls said in a statement provided to KDKA-TV.  Pauls said three riders visited the first aid center as a precaution before returning to the park.  See the video HERE.

Monkeys Finally Caught In Georgia

Authorities in Georgia announced the safe capture of two patas monkeys that had been on the loose for over a week in a county near Savannah.  The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, which revealed the monkeys were on the loose in a May 22 Facebook post, said Tuesday that the monkeys were safely captured and returned to their owner.  Rangers from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources had been brought to the county to help catch the monkeys.  The sheriff’s office said more information about the monkeys’ escape and capture will be released following the conclusion of a DNR investigation.

Escaped Cow In Mass

Authorities in Massachusetts shared video of an escaped cow showing “total disregard for the mooooooovvvveeee over law” while being chased down a road.  The Wareham Department of Natural Resources said in a Facebook post the cow was first spotted Tuesday in the Rickie Lane area.  The cow, named Rosie, later made its way to a wooded area near the Maple Springs Wildlife Management Area.  The department said in a Wednesday morning update that “Rosie is back home, safe and sound.”  See the video HERE.

Florida Man Attacked By Alligators

A man looking for frisbees in a Florida lake was found dead on Tuesday with his arm torn off in an incident that investigators believe was a possible alligator attack, police said.  The identity of the 47-year-old man has not been released, the Largo police department and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said in a statement, per NBC News. The outlet reported that his body was found at Taylor lake in John S. Taylor Park.  “At this time, detectives believe the victim was looking for frisbees in the water and a gator was involved,” Largo police said, according to the outlet. “There are posted signs of no swimming in the lake.”  According to several reports, the man had been searching for the frisbees to sell them.  Paul Cozzie, the director of parks and conservation resources in Pinellas County, told The New York Times that the man was a “transient” who made a living selling the sporting items to people playing on a disc golf course near the lake.  Cozzie told The Times that local disc golfers prefer to use special, more expensive frisbees — not the kind one would typically buy in a supermarket.

Delivery drivers confess to eating food, damaging packages and other bad behavior in poll

The next time you order takeout, you may want to go pick it up instead of having it delivered.

According to a new poll, 80 percent of delivery workers admit to eating some of the food in their customer’s orders.

More than 500 delivery drivers were polled for the survey.

Researchers discovered stealing food wasn’t the only questionable behavior.

According to the survey:

• 25% confessed to hooking up with someone in their vehicle
• 9% said they urinated on or near a customer’s home
• 10% admitted to urinating in a bottle while making deliveries
• 23% confessed to deliberately damaging packages
• 17% admitted to opening and then resealing packages
• 17% admitted to stealing packages

Researchers found a majority of delivery drivers attribute mistreatment and a lack of respect by customers for their behavior.

According to the survey:

• 73% don’t like their customers because they give bad tips
• 30% accuse customers of “tip baiting” – typing in a generous tip while placing an order online, then zeroing it out after delivery
• 57% don’t like when customers let their dogs bark and harass them
• 30% say customers are unfriendly
• 25% get annoyed when customers aren’t home or don’t answer the door
• 42% are frustrated when customers use them in their TikTok or other social media videos

The poll was contracted by Circuit Route Planner, an app that helps find the shortest and fastest routes for delivery drivers who make multiple stops.
