Bill and Ted Salute High School Grads

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have helped make some high school students’ virtual graduation  ceremony as bodacious as possible, given current circumstances. Yesterday, the Bill & Ted stars sent a video message to the graduating class of San Dimas High School congratulating them on their achievement and giving them some good-natured, if predictable, advice.  “We know it’s a tough time right now and you’re having to do this virtual graduation,” said Winter. “We want to wish you the best of luck moving forward.”  “Yeah, congratulations to the graduating class of 2020. Well done!” said Reeves.  “But most importantly, we wanted to tell you to be excellent to each other,” said Winter.  “And party on,” concluded Reeves.  The Bill & Ted movie series is, of course, set in San Dimas.  Winter and Reeves will reprise their roles of Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan III in the upcoming Bill & Ted Face the Music (out Aug. 21). This third Bill & Ted film finds the pair still trying to create music for their band, Wyld Stallyns, which they learned back in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure will inspire the utopian society of the future.
********How’s that utopian society workin’ out for ya??
******Bill and Ted wind up in 2020 and are amazed!! “Joe Biden is STILL running for president??”

Glee Cast Says Lea Michele Had Bad Behavior

Lea Michele was “well aware of her disgusting behavior” before her former costars began to call her out, a source told Page Six on Wednesday.  “She was rude to all cast members,” a source close to the show emphasized to us on Wednesday. “Nobody likes her. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a cast member that will defend her.”  Naya Rivera discussed her rift with Michele in her book and Heather Morris slammed Michele’s behavior on Wednesday night.  The source described her as “a tyrant” as “she was difficult on set, off set, for press, for everything. She was the worst kind of diva” and alleged the actress was known to create unnecessary delays on set as “she would be having a freak out in her trailer.”  “This was a difficult set to begin with being that every cast [member] had to act, sing and dance which meant recording studio time, dance rehearsals as well as actual filming,” the source explained. “Her antics on set would often hold up filming, which meant that some days the cast was working 15 to 18 hours. She would also snap at directors and other crew on set. She was well aware of her disgusting behavior.”  Her “Spring Awakening” co-star Gerard Canonico similarly recalled his experience on Broadway with the actress.  “You were nothing but a nightmare to me and fellow understudy cast members. You made us feel like we didn’t belong there,” Canonico wrote in a comment on Instagram, adding that the first time he commented on her apology, his remarks were deleted.

Jennifer Aniston Auctioning Nude Photo

Jennifer Aniston revealed on her Instagram that she is auctioning off a nude portrait of herself taken by photographer Mark Seliger in November 1995.  The black-and-white image features the “Friends” star crossing her legs in front of her chest and resting her hands on her knees.   “My dear friend @markseliger teamed up with @radvocacy and @christiesinc to auction 25 of his portraits – including mine – for COVID-19 relief,” Aniston captioned the post.  “100% of sales proceeds of this portrait will go to @NAFClinics, an organization which provides free coronavirus testing and care nationwide to the medically underserved,” she added. Besides Aniston, 25 other celebrity portraits of Seliger’s will also be auctioned off, including images of Leonardo DiCaprio and Oprah Winfrey. Proceeds from each sale will go the charity of the star’s choosing.

Meghan Markle Speaks To Former High School

Meghan Markle addressed George Floyd’s death in a graduation speech to her former high school, Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, on Wednesday.  “As we’ve all seen over the past week, what is happening in our country and in our state and in our hometown of LA, has been absolutely devastating,” Markle said.  “I wasn’t sure what I could say to you. I wanted to say the right thing. I was really nervous that I wouldn’t, or that it would get picked apart and I realized the only wrong thing is to say nothing,” she said. “Because George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered. And so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we do not know.”  Markle shared a message from one of her high school teachers that has stuck with her throughout the years.  “Always remember to put others’ needs above your own fears,'” she said.
********Which is why she quit her royal duties to escape from the scary situation in London!!
******Whatever she is, she aint Oprah!!
******Is anyone tired of the virtue-signalling yet??? Even the Klan put out a statement calling for justice for George Floyd!!

AMC Theaters May Not Survive

Movie theater chain AMC warned Wednesday that it may not survive the coronavirus pandemic, which has shuttered its theaters and led film studios to explore releasing more movies directly to viewers over the internet.  It’s the latest danger sign for the theater business in North America, which was under pressure even before the pandemic. It has gotten a boost by raising ticket prices and revamping theater-going into a more luxurious experience with drinks and meals, but admissions have been gradually declining since 2005. The box office has become home mostly to blockbuster films: Sequels, remakes and superhero movies dominate. Meanwhile, the rise of streaming services — Netflix and a growing stable of rivals — is providing new competition.  AMC, the largest U.S. chain, said it has enough cash to reopen its theaters this summer as planned. But if it’s not allowed to reopen, it will need more money, which it may not be able to borrow. Film delays are another concern. AMC noted that people may be afraid to go to theaters, but hopes the desire for social distancing is temporary and that people will want to go to the movies again.
*********DON’T CLOSE!! It’s the only cheap date left!!
*****When they reopen, they’ll have to make up the shortfall. A bucket of popcorn will now cost $50!!!

Friends Fear For Disappearing Adele!-(National Enquirer)

Friends and fans are worried about Adele’s recently unveiled massive weight loss.  “This is a cry for help from someone who’s always claimed she was very comfortable being her size and would never go all Hollywood skinny on us!” dished a source.  “She’s a completely different person now.  She’s gone from hanging out with her old regular friends to partying with Oscar winners and celebrities.  Everyone said it would never happen to Adele, but it has!”

Stars’ Drive To Name-Drop!-(Globe)

Bored Hollywood celebs have been offering their own road-rageous accounts of star sightings.  “I almost ran over Diane Keaton in a parking lot in West L.A.,” reveals former “Glee” star Jane Lynch.  Her old series castmate Kevin McHale also chimed in online, professing:  “Roseanne almost ran me over in Beverly Hills when I was a child.”  And “The Real” co-host Loni Love claims she once watched Samuel L. Jackson nearly get hit by a car.  “He yelled ‘Heyyyy MF!’” she posts.  “Glad he was ok.  Glad to hear him  cuss and glad to say hello.”

Love Lockout:  Jay Cutler & Kristin Cavallari-(Us Weekly)

Cavallari announced the couple’s separation on April 26, and anyone hoping the reality star and the football player might work it out should prepare to be disappointed.  “They’re communicating through their attorneys,” a source says.  “There’s zero chance of reconciliation.”  In divorce papers, Cavallari cites “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper.”  Now the two are sparring over custody of their kids, Camden, 7, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 4.

Olivia & Jason:  Working Things Out-(Star)

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis are putting more effort into their relationship after hitting a rough patch.  Sources say the problems began with their conflicting schedules.  The actress turned filmmaker, 36, and the We’re the Millers star, 44, became “like two ships passing in the night,” a confidant says, as Olivia’s directing career began to skyrocket-and Jason’s projects continued to dwindle.  As Olivia’s time was consumed with the much-lauded Booksmart, the comedian ended up the stay-at-home dad to kids Otis, 6, and 3-year-old Daisy.  Engaged since 2012, the pair have yet to set a wedding date.  “Olivia and Jason realized they were getting off course,” adds the source. “But at the end of the day, they know they want to spend the rest of their lives together.”

Throwback!  Jennifer Garner-(Life & Style)

A self-professed “ballet junkie,” Jennifer hoped that daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, would follow in her footsteps.  “My cross to bear is that my children have no interest in ballet,” the actress jokes.  “I think they could smell how much I wanted to put their hair in a bun!”

One Last Thing:  Josh Gad-(People)

The actor, 39, stars in Disney’s Artemis Fowl and lends his voice to the Apple TV+ series Central Park.

Last time I stayed up too late-

The other night I worked until 2 o’clock in the morning.  It’s my job to get up early and take the girls [Ava, 9, and Isabella, 6] for a walk before wife [Ida Darvish] handles all the homeschooling, but I slept in.  Let’s say she was not very happy.

Last Superstition-

Before I got to bed, I sneak into my girls’ rooms and kiss my hand and touch their faces.  When they go to college, I will find my way into their dorm come hell or high water.

Last time my kids made me laugh-

My 6-year-old looked at me with these doe eyes and goes, “Daddy, for Christmas I want an American Girl doll and toilet paper.”  I was like, “Okay, baby.  You don’t need to use one of your wishes for toilet paper.  We got your back.”

Last Laughs-(In Touch)

“Chrissy Teigen got into a feud with a food writer who criticized her cooking empire.  The writer said that the beef between them was the best thing that Chrissy’s ever made.”-David Spade.

“Blake Lively is letting husband Ryan Reynolds dye her hair at home.  It’s all good fun, but her girlfriends are still mad about the bleach stains on the Traveling Pants.”-David Spade.

Car Found Hidden Under Camouflage

A British police department said the smell of cooking breakfast tipped them off to a barbecue and an entire car hidden under camouflage material.  Purbeck police said officers in the Studland, Dorset, area detected the smell of breakfast being cooked Tuesday morning and followed the smell to an “innovative” attempt to hide the illicit activity.  “A busy morning down in Studland. We found an innovative vehicle disguise on Ferry Road today. It wasn’t the camouflage that made us stop, but the stove cooking breakfast that we could smell whilst driving by” police said in an Instagram post.  Barbecues and other fires are currently banned in the protected area.

Porn Star Arrested For Toad Venom

A porn star has been arrested on manslaughter charges following a man’s death during a mystic ritual in which he inhaled psychedelic toad venom, Spanish police said Wednesday.  Nacho Vidal was detained last week in the southeastern Valencia region in connection with the death of a man in July 2019.  Media identified the victim as fashion photographer Jose Luis Abad.  “The police operation began following the victim’s death during the celebration of a mystic ritual based on the inhalation of venom of the bufo alvarius toad,” a police statement said.  The toad, a rare species which is native to the Sonoran Desert, stretching from northern Mexico into California and Arizona, secretes venom containing a very powerful natural psychedelic substance known as 5-MeO-DMT.  Its effects have been compared to ayahuasca, a powerful hallucinogenic concoction from the Amazon consumed as part of a shamanic ritual.

Asteroid On The Way!!

A massive asteroid is set to hurtle past Earth!  NASA has been keeping tabs on five giant asteroids that are relatively close to the planet. One in particular is the size of a 1,100-foot stadium.  But not to worry — by “close,” NASA means approximately 5.1 million kilometers away. For reference, the distance between the moon and Earth is 385,000 kilometers.  Along with this mother of an asteroid are four others — three the size of an airplane and one the size of a house. Space fanatics can keep track of approaching asteroids using the Asteroid Watch Widget, which tracks asteroids and comets that make approaches to Earth. An object larger than about 150 meters that can approach Earth within 4.6 million miles is considered potentially hazardous, NASA says.
********At this point, we’re almost hoping it hits!!
*******Can you give us the approximate time of impact? We’re trying to schedule our weekend!!
*****We’d like a slightly smaller asteroid!! Just enough to wipe out the killer hornets!!

6 Ways You Can Feel More In Control During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Huffington Post

  1. Identify what you can control in your own life.

Living through a global pandemic may have you feeling more helpless than ever, but it’s crucial to remember that “so little of life was ever in our control to begin with,” Dahlen deVos said.

Rather than dwelling on uncertainty, consider what is within your power. Any time you feel anxious, Dahlen deVos suggested asking yourself three questions: What is my intention at this moment? What actions would I like to take right now? How can I respond to this trigger/event/pain/uncomfortable emotion?

Focusing on your intentions, actions and responses can shift your nervous system from fight-or-flight mode back into rest-and-digest mode, she said. From there, you can make decisions from a place of calm instead of panic.

  1. Lend a helping hand.

One cure for feeling helpless is taking action. If you’re weighed down by anxiety or worry, consider what you can do to help a stranger or loved one.

“Taking action is within your control,” said Tess Brigham, a marriage and family therapist and board-certified coach in California. Brigham said to think about what change you can effect and how you can be more thoughtful or caring right now.

That might mean donating your money to a local food bank if you have the means, picking up groceries for your neighbor or simply taking on your partner’s chores for the day. Going out of your way to be of service when you’re feeling low can help improve your attitude and remind you of your power to create positive change.

  1. Stabilize your routine.

The routine you relied on before the coronavirus hit may no longer exist, but it’s still important to establish a sense of normality in your day.

A routine offers relief through predictability, which can yield to a sense of control, Dahlen deVos said. “Routine allows our brains to go on autopilot a bit, which gives them a much-needed break from constantly fielding so much new information.”

Work on building consistency into your days, Dahlen deVos said, whether that means creating a work schedule or simply making lunch at the same time every afternoon.

Next, try to incorporate “one activity that increases your sense of calm, wellness or stability,” Marnix said. Think: cooking, meditating, listening to a podcast or coloring. Choose a time each day to engage in your activity and practice staying present. “Being grounded and present in the moment reduces ruminating thoughts,” Marnix said.

  1. Step back from social media every so often.

It’s tempting to check the news or log on to social media every hour for updates, but being too immersed in the media can take a toll on your mental health, Marnix said.

Even mindless scrolling can lead to information fatigue, burnout and feelings of being overwhelmed, Dahlen deVos added. That’s why it’s critical to be mindful of how you consume information.

“Try limiting yourself to perusing news or social media sites to set hours of the day, when you feel more regulated and intentional, or more equipped to handle whatever you might read or come across,” Dahlen deVos said.

It’s also healthy to curate your content. In addition to limiting your news outlets to one or two sources you like and trust, Brigham said, try unfollowing or muting any social media accounts that trigger or worsen your feelings of anxiety.

  1. Do a project with your hands.

Doing something as simple as potting a plant or cleaning out your junk drawer can help calm your mind and relax your body.

“Our brains love seeing tasks completed, so taking on projects that we know we can check a box and be done with feels very satisfying,” Dahlen deVos said. Not only that, but “doing projects with our hands can act as a form of mindfulness,” she added, “which is very regulating for the nervous system and can soothe the emotions.”

To set yourself up for success, pick a fun project with low stakes. Try cooking a new recipe, organizing your pantry, hanging a shelf or doing a craft.

  1. Embrace your feelings.

When you experience sadness, helplessness or anxiety, try not to judge yourself or rush through the feeling process.

“We’re so set up for focusing on how to be happy 24/7, but that’s not realistic,” Brigham said. It’s OK to feel a sense of loss right now, she added, whether you’re grieving a job, relationship, death or simply the absence of normality.

“It’s important to accept your sad feelings and feel them just as you would with happy feelings,” Brigham said.

And remember to resist the urge to compare your situation. “Everyone is coping with this event in their own way,” Dahlen deVos said, and “there is no right way to cope.”

Make sure to check in with yourself on a regular basis. If you have difficulty functioning, feel a persistent sense of hopelessness or dread, or experience a “loss of motivation, interest or pleasure that does not seem to be resolving,” you may need to speak to a mental health professional or reach out for help, Marnix said.
