Kim Kardashian Wore Aniston’s Bikini

Jennifer Aniston turned heads after she posed in a vintage Chanel micro bikini for Allure, which was revealed by the magazine on Wednesday.   The 1996 vintage bikini – which is not for sale – was also worn four years earlier by Kim Kardashian who posted a risqué selfie on Twitter after rocking the barely-there swimwear. Another selfie, which has since been deleted, was shared on Instagram by her.  The bikini was first worn by Stella Tenant for a Chanel’s 1996 Karl Lagerfeld spring collection runway show, and is available to Los Angeles residents to rent through EL CYĆER vintage for $1,996, according to People.  The swimsuit is available to “industry professionals for editorial campaigns, red carpet events, public showcases, and exhibits,” according to EL CYĆER’s website.

****So, in effect, Kim Kardashian has been up Jennifer’s ass???

Tom Brady Has A New Neighbor

Gisele Bündchen secretly bought an $11.5 million Miami Beach mansion directly across the creek from Tom Brady’s home.  She splurged on a stunning five-bedroom, 6,600-square-foot home that has a nearly direct view of Tom’s home on Indian Creek Island.  She first viewed the mansion on Aug. 16, days before Brady’s shocking 11-day break from the NFL — which was said to be a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship. She closed on the property on Oct. 6th.  “Gisele was actively looking at homes in Miami Beach even before Tom took his break from the NFL, which indicates that she was already done with the marriage and moving on,” a source says.  “You could literally swim from Gisele’s place to Tom’s — not that they would — but both homes will include a dock, so it would be very easy for them to co-parent their children while living so close to each other,” the source says.  The former couple will share joint custody of their kids following their Oct. 28 divorce.
**********Whew!!! ‘Cause we were worried about how they’d “co-parent!!!”

Stallone Updates Bruce Willis’ Condition

Sylvester Stallone issued an update on his longtime pal and co-star Bruce Willis.  Bruce announced his aphasia diagnosis earlier this year, which has forced him to step away from acting.  Sly said he’s been “incommunicado” ever since the diagnosis.  “Bruce is going through some really, really difficult times. So he’s been sort of incommunicado. That kills me. It’s so sad,” Sly told The Hollywood Reporter.  Aphasia is a condition that can affect a person’s ability to speak, write and understand language, with treatment including speech and language therapies, according to the Mayo Clinic.  When the actor’s diagnosis was revealed in March, Stallone shared a heartfelt post on Instagram as he sent well wishes to his friend.  “We go back a long way, praying for the best for you and your wonderful family,” he wrote alongside several snaps of the pair.
********When Bruce replied, Sly said, “He sounded like Joe Biden, and that’s when I knew he was in trouble!!”

Michael Jackson’s Estate Seeking $1 Million In Property

Michael Jackson’s estate seeks to get back over $1 million of stolen property.  According to TMZ, The estate of MJ claimed the property is under the wrongful possession of Jeffre Phillips.  The late actor’s estate claimed in the legal documents that Phillips, amid sadness and fuss on the singer’s death, used the situation to his advantage by taking private and personal property from Jackson’s home on Carolwood Drive in the posh Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles.  Previously, MJ’s estate blocked a potential sale of the items.  The estate alleges the items taken include hard drives, laptops, and iPods, as well as CDs and DVDs, assumed to have non-public performances and not-seen concert footage.  Moreover, the estate also claimed that Phillips possessed Jackson’s handwritten notes with few song lyrics, computers, cassette tapes, a picture album with the star face on the cover, a black skull bag, framed awards, and a Michael Jackson doll.  The Michael Jackson estate also said to know the location of stolen items and requested a judge to help recover them. On the other side, Phillips has denied any wrongdoing.
*********When these go on sale, it’ll crash eBay!!!

Elizabeth Hurley Opens Up About Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry would likely be the first person to admit he was difficult to work with in the throes of his addiction—in fact, he pretty much has, in his new memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. In one section, he acknowledges that director Reginald Hudlin and co-star Elizabeth Hurley were understandably “pissed off” when their movie Serving Sara had to be shut down while he entered rehab, something Hurley will attest to 20 years later.  “I haven’t actually read the book yet, but I’ve read [excerpts] of it. It’s quite interesting. He’s a very funny writer like he’s a very funny man. He’s an incredibly gifted comedian… his way with words is fantastic,” Hurley gushes about Perry in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment. “I have very fond memories of him.”  However, she admits, “To be honest, it was a nightmare working with him at that time and, as it’s now known, our movie was shut down because of his addiction. We were in a force majeure and had to all sit at home twiddling our thumbs for some time.”  In an interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer, Perry shared that around the time he was filming Serving Sara he was ingesting Xanax, Methadone, and a quart of vodka each day.
**********In Hollywood, that’s called “lunch!!”

Prince Harry:  Home For the Holidays?-(Us Weekly)

There have been whispers that Prince Harry may head back to the U.K. over the holidays to make nice with family members-and prepare them for what’s to come when his memoir is released.  But sources say much more likely he and Meghan and their young children will remain close to their Montecito, Calif., home instead.  “They want to stay put and enjoy family time in America,” says a source, noting that Harry will give everyone time to process [his memoir] Spare before he visits England again.  “Once the dust settles, he looks forward to a return trip.  But first, they need to get through the next two or three months and see how everyone feels after that,” continues the source.  “It’s going to be one hell of a ride, and Harry knows that, so he’s buckling up.”

Shark Jumps Onto Fishing Boat

A New Zealand charter boat crew and their customers ended up with an unusual story to tell when a large shark jumped out of the water and landed on their boat.  Ryan Churches of Churchys Charter NZ said his crew and five customers were fishing for kingfish off the coast of Whitianga when a large mako shark took their bait.  “We were fighting it normally and it was jumping around. I told the customers, ‘If it jumps in the boat get out of the way,'” Churches told the New Zealand Herald.  Churches said the shark came flying out of the water about 30 seconds later. The big fish’s landing on the bow of the vessel was caught on video.  The skipper said the shark managed to flop itself back into the water after about two minutes.  “He got away safe. There’s nothing much we could do. We can’t go up the front to go near it because they go absolutely bonkers,” he said.  See the video HERE.
*******Didn’t we see this in a movie one time???

Archer Sets Keyhole Record

A professional archer from Denmark broke a Guinness World Record by shooting seven arrows in a row through a tiny keyhole.  Lars Anderson, who posts his archery stunts to his YouTube page, took on the Guinness World Record for most consecutive arrows shot in a row through a keyhole in Lyngby.  He successfully shot the arrows through a keyhole that Guinness mandated could be no more than 10 millimeters — about .39 inch — wide.  Anderson said he used arrows without feathers for the attempt because feathers would have become caught in the hole.  See the video HERE.

Young Candidate Wins Election

A 23-year-old has defeated a two-term incumbent to become a small Louisiana city’s next mayor.  Tyrin Truong, a Democrat, bested independent Mayor Wendy O’Quin Perrette, 47, in Bogalusa, a city of about 11,000 in southeastern Louisiana, WWL-TV reported Wednesday.  “I’m honestly at a loss for words,” Truong said. “This campaign was never about me; it was about building a better Bogalusa and a better city, and I’m glad everybody got out to vote, because it was a team effort, truly a team effort,”  Perrette, who was first elected in 2014, conceded.  “I wish the mayor-elect well, but young Tyrin has demonstrated repeatedly during this campaign that he lacks the skills necessary to lead and unite our city,” Perrette said in a statement to WWL. “I pray I am wrong. During the transition period, I will help any way that I can.”

Man Builds Tomb For Cheetos

A Seattle man revealed that he custom-built a tomb for a bag of hot Cheetos in an effort to preserve the savory snack “for centuries.”  The TikToker — who goes by the name of Sunday Nobody — posted the video Sunday depicting the whole process from start to finish.  Since it was posted, the three-minute video has gained nearly 11 million views.  “I just do these meme art projects as a fun side hobby right now. My day job is working as an animator. When I’m not at my 9 to 5, I’m usually in my art studio,” the creator told Newsweek.  “The hardest part was the weight, mixing 3,000 pounds of concrete of those 80-pound bags was strenuous. But that was all part of the fun of it.”  According to the TikToker, the entire process took nearly four months and cost $1,250 in materials.  The location of the crypt, however, remains secret.
*******In 2,000 years, someone will uncover this bag of Cheetos… and it’ll be a major historic discovery!!

The Most Important Phrases You Should Teach Your Kid From A Young Age

HUFFINGTON POST

  1. “There’s no such thing as a stupid question.”

Little kids love asking questions — sometimes nonstop from the moment they open their eyes in the morning to the time their head hits the pillow at night. All that curiosity is great, but it can also be exhausting for parents and caregivers.  “Sometimes we inadvertently deflect our children’s curiosity because it can be overwhelming,” psychotherapist Mercedes Samudio, author of “Shame-Proof Parenting,” told HuffPost. “But teaching our children that there is nothing wrong with being curious and even teaching them how to seek out answers from others can be a helpful trait to cultivate in children from a young age.”

Encouraging their inquisitiveness and helping them feel confident enough to speak up when they’re unsure about something will serve them well for years to come.

  1. “I got this!”

We want our kids to adopt a “growth mindset,” a term coined by Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck, which describes the belief that talent can be developed with hard work, determination and help from others. Those with a fixed mindset, however, believe their intelligence and skills are innate and therefore unlikely to be improved upon.  “When kids (or adults) are in a fixed mindset, difficulty makes them feel inadequate — their fixed ability feels deficient — and their confidence becomes shaky,” Dweck told Stanford News. “But when they are in a growth mindset, difficulty is a natural part of learning, so they are more likely to take it in stride and find new strategies that work better.”  Borba recommends encouraging your child to use phrases like “I got this” or “I can do this” to bolster their belief in themselves when challenges arise.

“Our children must develop growth mindsets — a sense of personal efficacy or agency — especially in today’s uncertain world,” she said. “Resilient children are tenacious — they don’t stop! And they don’t wait to be rescued.”

  1. “Hi, my name is X. What’s yours?”

Between schools being closed and many activities and events being canceled, the coronavirus pandemic limited kids’ opportunities to socialize with their peers. Now that things are opening up again, we can encourage kids to get back out there and introduce themselves to new people and, hey, maybe even make a new friend.

“Two years of physical distancing has caused a lot of children to be socially anxious,” she said. “They haven’t exercised their social skills — and they’re easy to learn if we model them.”

  1. “It’s OK to make mistakes. Just be honest about it.”

Making mistakes is an inevitable part of life. When we teach our kids this, we send a message that messing up is only human. It’s how we handle those blunders that matters.  “Honesty is a trait many parents want to cultivate in their children, and the best way to do that is to make sure that it’s OK to make mistakes in your family,” Samudio said. “From a young age, we can teach children that the best way to develop honesty is to be supported through mistakes — which moves children away from lying to get out of trouble, because mistakes don’t bring punitive responses.”

  1. “Thank you.”

Gratitude is a learned behavior. As parents, it’s our duty to help instill in our children the importance of being thankful for what we have — and expressing it. Research has shown that practicing gratitude is strongly and consistently linked with greater happiness, as well as better health and relationships.  Saying thank you often increases gratitude — “a known and simple happiness booster,” Borba said.

You might model this to your child by expressing to them how grateful you are for their thoughtful or helpful acts, said Amy McCready, founder of Positive Parenting Solutions.  “Be specific about how they made a difference for you: ‘Thank you for playing with the dog while I had my conference call. I really appreciate how you kept him occupied so I could concentrate on the meeting.’” she previously told HuffPost. “Being the recipient of gratitude will encourage your kids to want to pass it on.”  Let them also see you share your appreciation for others in your day-to-day life.

“From the cashier at the grocery store, to the dry cleaner to their teachers,” said McCready. “Your kids are watching and listening.”

  1. “It’ll be OK.”

Helping our kids learn to stay optimistic through difficult times can put them in a better position to weather life’s challenges.

Language like “It’ll be OK,” “I’ll get through it” and “Things will get better” can be powerful in achieving this.  “Let’s teach kids simple statements to keep hope alive and pessimism down,” Borba said.  According to Aha! Parenting, “Research shows that optimists, who believe they can achieve success, are in fact more able to do so. They are less likely to get depressed, get fewer illnesses, have longer relationships, and live longer.”

Teach your child that they have the power to perceive setbacks any way they choose. When they’re catastrophizing, remind them that many problems are temporary and often within their power to fix — or at least improve.
