Harry And Meghan Declined Queen’s Invited Multiple Times
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly declined an invitation to see Queen Elizabeth II twice before she passed away in September. The claim was made by Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl, who has written a new book titled, “The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown.” In it, she details the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s exit from the British royal family and its lasting impact on all sides. Nicholl alleged that the couple was first invited in summer 2019 to spend a long weekend at the queen’s beloved Balmoral estate in Scotland. However, the couple was allegedly distancing themselves months before they officially announced their departure. “The queen traditionally hosted a big gathering for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” Nicholl told Fox News Digital. “It was always a weekend that she looked forward to. And on this occasion, the Sussexes didn’t go. I was told that it wouldn’t have fit their narrative at that point. The narrative was very much ‘this is us against them.’ There was that sense of separation. And perhaps turning up and playing happy families wouldn’t have fit into that narrative.” In her book, Nicholl alleged that the Sussexes chose to take their son Archie to Ibiza and the South of France, a decision that “raised eyebrows.” At the time, reports alleged that the getaway coincided with Markle’s birthday on August 4th.

Jada Pinkett Smith is set to release a “no holds barred” memoir next fall that will detail her “complicated marriage” to Will Smith and other topics, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Jada Pinkett Smith chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey — a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power,” read a statement from the memoir’s publisher, Dey Street. The announcement added that Pinkett Smith’s tome will recount her “unconventional upbringing in Baltimore,” her friendship with late rapper Tupac Shakur and her romance with Will Smith. “In crisis at age 40, Jada recounts the excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way,” the publisher said. Pinkett Smith’s memoir likely will address her battle with alopecia and the joke that prompted the slap seen ’round the world at the 2022 Oscars.

Social media users wasted no time after news broke that Tom and Gisele have retained divorce lawyers. “I have no doubt in my mind that Pete Davidson is going to end up with Gisele now,” one person tweeted. “Keep Pete Davidson away from Gisele at all costs unless you wanna see Tom Brady win 3 more consecutive Superbowls out of pure hatred,” another joked about the notoriously competitive NFL player. Wynonna Addresses In-Fighting Rumors
Wynonna Judd is addressing rumors she’s in a battle with her sister, Ashley Judd, over their mom Naomi Judd’s estate. “Someone told me while I was at Ashley’s house, ‘Hey, did you know that they’re saying this about you?'” she told People magazine. “I went, ‘Huh? I’m fighting with Ashley? Oh. Again?'” So the rumors they are fighting are untrue? “Fighting over what?” she replied. “I have such a great life. Ashley has a great life. Why would we be fighting over the will?” After her mom’s death by suicide in April, it was reported that Naomi cut Wynonna and Ashley out of her will. Naomi, who died at 76, appointed her husband of 33 years, Larry Strickland, as executor of her $25 million estate with “full authority and discretion” over everything. According to reports, Wynonna was “upset” at being excluded from the will, believing “she was a major force behind her and Naomi’s success.” A report in the tabloid Star claimed the sisters were going “head-to-head” in a battle over the estate. Wynonna acknowledged that the sisters had points of estrangement in their lives, “so we’ve missed out on a lot of time together.” They’ve used a life coach to help them work on their relationship.

Missing Cat Found After Nine Years
A California woman was shocked to receive a phone call from Idaho saying her lost cat had been found after nine years. Susan Moore of Clovis said her cat, Harriet, disappeared nine years ago, and her husband, Brian Ellison, theorized it had been killed by a coyote. Moore had adopted Harriet as a shelter kitten three years earlier. “I was very distraught about this cat going missing,” Moore told The Washington Post. “I was really bonded to this cat.” Moore said she was shocked to receive a phone call Sept. 19 from the Kootenai Humane Society in Hayden, Idaho. The caller said Harriet had been found wandering the streets of Hayden, more than 1,000 miles from Clovis, and the feline’s microchip had given shelter workers Moore’s contact information. “I wish she could talk because I’d like to know how the heck that cat got all the way to Idaho,” Moore said.

Wild Turkey Breaks Into Home
Police in Ohio responded to a resident’s home where a wild turkey broke in through a large window — and ended up breaking back out. The Miami Township Police Department said officers responded to the home of a resident who called 911 to report a large turkey had crashed through a window into her daughter’s playroom. The department posted body camera footage to Facebook showing an officer with a net chasing the turkey around the trashed room. The officer is eventually able to capture the turkey in the net and starts to carry it outside, but the bird escapes from the officer and crashes back out through the same window it used to enter the house. Wisdom Tooth Pulled From 9 Year Old
A 9-year-old Virginia boy earned an unusual Guinness World Record when he became the youngest person to have a wisdom tooth extracted. Guinness World Records said Ryan Scarpelli’s orthodontist, Dr Kelly Morgan of Morgan Orthodontics, noticed in April 2021 that the boy had a wisdom tooth and a molar growing on top of each other in the upper-left side of his mouth. “My orthodontist said it needed to be removed so that the molar could drop properly,” Scarpelli told Guinness World Records. Scarpelli’s tooth was removed when he was 9 years and 327 days old, making him the youngest person to have a wisdom tooth extracted. The previous record holder, Matthew Adams, was only a few days older when his tooth was taken out at 9 years and 339 days in 2002. Wisdom teeth, the last permanent teeth to come in, typically show up — and are often removed — in a person’s late teens or early 20s.

School Accidentally Sends Out Acceptance Letters
A Massachusetts law school says it’s guilty of accidentally sending acceptance emails to thousands of former and current applicants. The Northeastern University School of Law in a statement Wednesday blamed a “technical error” for the glitch, saying the erroneous emails went to more than 200 people who applied for admission starting next fall, as well as to nearly 4,000 former applicants, some of whom are already enrolled. “The School of Law quickly sent a clarifying email explaining the error. Individual outreach is also taking place to applicants with concerns,” the Boston school said. Final admissions decisions will not be made until later in the academic year. “The School of Law deeply regrets this unintended mistake and is taking steps to ensure that it will not happen in the future,” the school said.

Stomach Pain From What Or How You Eat
Certain foods, such as high-fiber fruits and foods rich in carbohydrates, can be difficult for some people to digest and lead to gas and bloating. Overeating and eating too quickly can also lead to indigestion and discomfort.
Routinely taking certain medications, like aspirin or ibuprofen, can also cause inflammation in the stomach that may cause pain, said Dr. Lisa Ganjhu, a clinical associate professor of medicine in the divisions of gastroenterology and hepatology at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Constipation
Constipation, or infrequent bowel movements, is one of the leading causes of abdominal discomfort. It’s caused by a range of health issues, including medications, a lack of exercise, diet and changes in lifestyle. Being constipated doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re dealing with some sort of underlying condition, but nonetheless, it can be painful to deal with.
“If they notice that they have pain and they haven’t emptied their bowels in a while or have incomplete bowels, then they need to either take a laxative or an enema to unplug,” Ganjhu said.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
IBS is one of the most common causes of abdominal pain and impacts 10 to 15% of the population. To get an IBS diagnosis, patients need abdominal pain, irregular bowel habits (like diarrhea or constipation) and pain that either improves or worsens with bowel movements, Al Bawardy explained. IBS pain can be mild or severe and include anything from stomach cramping to swelling the stomach and excessive gas. With IBS, the colon muscle contracts too frequently and triggers cramps and pain, typically in the lower half of the abdomen.
IBS can be managed by changing what you eat and drink, regularly exercising and getting enough sleep. Certain medications, like fiber supplements, laxatives and pain medications, can alleviate symptoms, too.
Pain From How Food Moves Through Your Stomach
Another condition, known as gastroparesis, occurs when the stomach has a hard time emptying food and water. These contents collect in the stomach and trigger bloating, pain, nausea and a feeling of fullness after a few bites of food.
“The stomach doesn’t relax and is contracting when it should be relaxing,” Ganjhu said. Gastroparesis is more prevalent in older people, along with people with anxiety and those who take antidepressants, Ganjhu said. Though there’s no cure for gastroparesis, dietary changes and medication can provide relief.
Small Bowel Bacteria Overgrowth
This condition, also known as SIBO, occurs when there’s an abnormal increase in the amount of bacteria in the small intestine. SIBO can be caused by stress, travel, antibiotic use, alcohol use and certain medications like a proton pump inhibitor. All of these things can disrupt the microbiome, according to Ganjhu. SIBO frequently causes painful bloating when air gets trapped in the small bowel or colon, along with an uncomfortable feeling of fullness and nausea. It’s diagnosed via a breath test or small intestine fluid culture and can be treated with antibiotics and nutritional support.
Food Intolerances
Though food allergies don’t typically lead to pain, food intolerances can contribute to abdominal pain, irritating gas and causing bloating within a few hours after eating the food. With food intolerances, the digestive system lacks certain enzymes that are necessarily to break down specific foods. The most common food intolerances include lactose (milk), histamine (chemicals that naturally occur in cheese, pineapples, bananas, avocados and chocolate) and gluten (a protein in wheat, rye and barley).
Gallstones
Gallstones, or pebble-like pieces of hardened bile, are pretty common, impacting about 10 to 15% of the U.S. population. This condition also tends to be more common in women, pregnant people and individuals with obesity. While gallstones are asymptomatic in most people, some may experience intense pain in the right upper side of their abdomen. It can last a few minutes or a few hours. This pain can really vary between patients — “sometimes it’s a cramping pain, sometimes it’s associated with nausea, sometimes it’s associated with fatty meals,” Ganjhu said. In certain cases, gallstones can be passed or dissolve with medications, however, some people may require surgery.
Period And Pelvic Pain
While nearly everyone with a uterus experiences some type of period or pelvic pain in their lifetime, certain types of pelvic pain may indicate there’s a more serious underlying health issue. Mild to moderate cramping is considered to be a normal side effect of menstruation, but if if the cramps last longer than a few days, worsen into a sharp, stabbing or throbbing sensation or impact your ability to function, you may have a gynecologic condition like endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, fibroids or adenomyosis. These conditions are often overlooked and dismissed as typical menstrual pain, so it’s crucial to advocate for yourself and find a doctor who will listen and help you find a diagnosis in order to start treatment.
