Lady Gaga’s Dogs Found

Lady Gaga’s two French bulldogs were recovered safely Friday evening, two days after they were stolen by thieves who shot and wounded the dogwalker, according to Los Angeles police.  A woman brought the dogs to the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station around 6 p.m., Capt. Jonathan Tippett told the Associated Press.  Gaga’s representatives and detectives went to the station and confirmed that the returned dogs were the singer’s Frenchies, Koji and Gustav.  She is currently in Rome, filming a movie.  She has offered a $500,000 reward for the return of her dogs; it’s unclear if the woman who returned the dogs will be pocketing the reward.  Tippet said the woman who dropped off the dogs appears to be “uninvolved and unassociated” with Wednesday night’s shooting and theft. Cops didn’t say how she got the dogs.
*******We think it was in inside job!! The dogs were in on it!!!
*******We’re glad she’s in Rome filming a movie. Can we eat inside a restaurant now???

New Terminator Series In The Works

Netflix is working with filmmaker Mattson Tomlin on a Terminator anime series.  Tomlin, who co-wrote The Batman and Project Power, will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the sci-fi drama.  “Yo you did hear it here first,” Tomlin tweeted Friday, along with a screenshot of a post from Feb. 12 in which he teased: “I like robots and skeletons. You heard it here first.”  “Terminator is one of the most iconic sci-fi stories ever created — and has only grown more relevant to our world over time. The new animated series will explore this universe in a way that has never been done before,” said John Derderian, Netflix’s vice president of Japan and anime.  The Terminator franchise began with a live-action 1984 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was co-written and directed by James Cameron.

Chris Harrison Replaced

The ‘Bachelor’ has a new host following Chris Harrison’s departure, Emmanuel Acho announced on twitter Saturday night that he will taking over all Rose Ceremonies from now on.  “IT’S OFFICIAL: I’ve accepted the Rose & am honored to be hosting the [Bachelor] after the Final Rose this year,” Acho, a former NFL linebacker turned Fox Sports analyst wrote.  “It’s been a pivotal season and this episode will be one of the most storied shows in its history. Empathy is needed and change is coming,” he added. “See y’all then!”  The controversy started after 24-year old Rachael Kirkconnell, a frontrunner on this season’s The Bachelor, was condemned on social media for dressing in a Native American costume and for attending an “antebellum plantation” themed party in 2018 while in college.  Harrison addressed the topic when interviewing Rachel Lindsay, another frontrunner in the competition and the first Black lead of the franchise.  During his interview with Lindsay, Harrison suggested people should have “a little grace, a little understanding, a little compassion” when judging Kirconnell’s 2018 decision, and questioned the “lens” of 2021 compared to 2018.
********How dare he?? Ask for compassion?? Don’t you know.. we need empathy!!!! Not compassion!!!

Kim K Divorce Details

Details surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce have been revealed.  She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.  She has also reportedly requested that the ability to award spousal support by either herself or West be terminated.  The documents also reveal that their date of separation is still “TBD” and, as previously reported, that the famous pair had a prenuptial agreement in place.  The prenup, which will help them to avoid a hairy dispute over their massive fortune, reportedly states that the assets and obligations of the “Power” rapper and Kardashian are their own respective properties.  Docs were filled on Monday, Feb. 22, and she is being represented by famed divorce attorney of the stars, Laura Wasser, dubbed the “Disso Queen.”  Last week, it was revealed that Kim is also seeking joint and legal custody of the four children she shares with West: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1. The split is said to be perfectly amicable.

Kobe’s Hoops Sells Big

The childhood hoop where Kobe Bryant learned to shoot recently went for $37,200 at auction.  Heritage Auctions held the bidding for the hoop, which was attached to the garage of Bryant’s childhood home in the suburbs of Philadelphia.   The hoop was sold separately from the house, which went for $810,000 last year. The previous owner of the house did not include the hoop in the sale after the buyer disagreed with how much of a premium it should add to the sale price.  Bryant lived outside Philadelphia and attended Lower Merion High School during his teenage years before declaring for the 1996 NBA draft.
********Thanks for reminding us of 2020!!! What a tragedy!!
******We’re lucky we didn’t have to auction off Tiger’s balls!!!

R Kelly Got The COVID Vaccine

R. Kelly has reportedly received both shots of a COVID-19 vaccine while being held in an Illinois lockup on serious child sex charges. He is one of more than 60 inmates at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center to be fully inoculated, according to TMZ. He got his first shot in January and the second this month, the outlet said. It was not clear which vaccine he received.  The singer — real name Robert Kelly — is awaiting trials in Illinois and New York on charges including sexually abusing underage girls, producing child pornography, and destroying evidence.

Misspelled Parking Lot

Officials in a British town took to social media to make light of a newly-painted road that features a small spelling error in very large letters: “NO ENRY.”  The road outside of a parking garage in the city center of Maldon, England, was supposed to be painted to read “NO ENTRY,” but residents quickly realized the message was missing the letter “T.” “If you’re having a bad day… just know that someone else is having a worse day than you,” the Maldon District Council said in a Facebook post.  The council said the error will soon be corrected.  “We’re on’T To iT,” the council joked.  See the pic HERE.

Realistic Dummy Found

The California Highway Patrol said a driver using the high-occupancy vehicle lanes of a highway was found to actually be traveling alone, except for “one of the best dummies” police had ever seen.  The CHP said an officer stationed in Baldwin Park pulled over a truck traveling in an HOV lane on Wednesday because the vehicle’s windows were tinted too dark for the officer to see if the driver had a passenger.  The officer soon discovered the apparent “man” sitting in the passenger seat of the truck was actually a highly realistic mannequin, complete with a COVID-19 face mask. The CHP said the mannequin was “by far, one of the best dummies we have ever seen.”  See the pic HERE.

House That Comes With Dummies

A five-bedroom, three-bathroom multifamily home in South Lake Tahoe has been listed for $650,000, and comes with several mannequins and statues.  “With a little love, this duplex has great income property potential,” reads Realtor.com listing, which went live last Friday. The unassuming property is being represented by realtor Jesse Yohnka of the Deb Howard & Company, a premiere Lake Tahoe real estate agency.  Although the listing doesn’t expressly say the fashionable mannequins and statues are included, the listing does note: “Property to be sold as-is.”  According to Realtor.com’s records, the 2,116-square-foot home has been listed on two separate occasions in the last 13 years, specifically in 2008 and 2009, and both times for $499,500.  See the pic HERE.

7 Things In Your House You’ve Been Using Wrong All This Time

Huffington Post

  1. Breadboard

If your kitchen came with a pull-out slab of wood built into the countertop, you probably assumed it was a cutting board for slicing and dicing ingredients as you cook.

But according to Country Living, those pull-out cutting boards were actually once known as “breadboards.” The original purpose was to extend the countertop so there was room to knead bread. You could also use it to slice bread. But chop veggies? Nope.

Though you may not be doing a whole lot of bread kneading (unless that happened to become your pandemic hobby), it’s not a great idea to use the original boards for cutting. They weren’t designed to hold up to much wear and tear, and moisture can cause warping and mold. Instead, consider replacing yours with a modern maple version, which is naturally antimicrobial and holds up to knife scarring.

  1. Oven drawer

The drawer located beneath your oven is a great place for storing awkwardly shaped kitchen items, like baking sheets and pans. Except that drawer has a specific use, and it may not be storage at all.

You’ll have to look for a couple of clues to find out its purpose. If your oven has a setting for a “warming drawer,” then that’s exactly what you have. You can use this area to keep food warm or heat up plates while you finish preparing your meal.

If this feature looks more like a big pan than a drawer, it’s likely your oven’s broiler. You can use this to toast or brown food before serving. Typically, broiler drawers are found on gas ovens.

Finally, if the drawer really is just a big empty space, it likely is meant for storage. In fact, it’s a great spot to store cast iron, where the warmth of the oven will help keep rust at bay. However, avoid storing any plastic items here, which can warp or melt.

  1. Plunger

That plunger sitting next to your toilet in case of, ahem, an emergency is probably not the right one for the job. The typical household plunger with a red, bell-shaped cup is actually designed for unclogging sinks and bathtubs.

Using this type of plunger won’t be too effective on toilets. For that job, you need a specific toilet plunger, which has a flange on the end that fits snugly into the opening, as Popular Mechanics reports. You can also use a bellows plunger, which has an accordion-like design that allows for better water displacement while plunging.

  1. Ceiling fan

Even though a large portion of the country is still experiencing cold temperatures, ceiling fans have their place. Ceiling fans are actually designed for year-round use, helping you save on energy costs. All you need to do is adjust the direction it spins.

In the winter, you should set your fan to turn clockwise. This pulls air up toward the ceiling, displacing the warmer air that has risen and pushing it back down toward the walls and floor. Keep it on the lowest speed to prevent any wind chill.

In the summer, your fan should spin counterclockwise to improve air flow and create a breeze. You can usually find the switch to change your fan’s direction on the motor casing.

  1. Cellphone charger

Cellphone batteries seem to die at the most inconvenient times. To ensure you have a solid charge all day, you probably leave your phone hooked up to the charger overnight. However, doing this could actually make your phone’s battery less effective.

It’s not possible to overcharge a cellphone battery. But leaving it plugged in once it has reached 100% causes something known as a “trickle charge.” As your phone naturally loses a bit of charge, the charger continually tops it off to maintain a full battery. This stresses the battery, leads to higher ambient temperatures for your phone and can reduce capacity over time.

  1. Stainless steel pans

If you’re like me, you probably prefer the ease of a nonstick pan over its stainless steel counterpart. Stainless steel may be long-lasting and non-toxic, but it can also be a pain to clean.

It turns out that stainless steel pans can be seasoned just like cast iron. Doing so will make them much easier to cook with and clean, as well as allow you to avoid the questionable chemicals that coat non-stick cookware.

Simply coat your pan with an oil that has a high smoke point. Heat it over medium to medium-high heat for a few minutes, allow it to cool and then dispose of the excess oil. To prevent washing away the seasoning, try to wipe it clean after each use rather than scrubbing it with soap and water.

  1. Toilet paper rolls

The heated over/under debate can finally be settled. According to illustrations from an 1891 patent, the inventor of perforated toilet paper rolls intended the flap to fall over the roll.

The advantages of hanging the roll this way are clear (sorry, Team Under). First, it’s much easier to find the end and unspool. Plus, it’s a bit more sanitary since the end is kept away from the bathroom wall.
