Camilla Takes Over One Of Meghan’s Patronages
A patronage previously belonging to Meghan Markle has been given to Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. The National Theatre took to Twitter on Friday and announced that she now holds the title as its Royal Patron. “We are delighted to announce that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall has become our Royal Patron,” read the tweet. “The Duchess, a long-standing supporter for the arts, is a devoted fan of theatre and champion of literature and drama.” The National Theatre confirmed the patronage was given to the Duchess of Cornwall by Queen Elizabeth II. “Her Majesty has been associated with the National Theatre since its earliest days at the Old Vic in the 1960s, last visiting with The Duke of Edinburgh, as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013,” the arts venue explained on its website. Rufus Norris, director and joint chief executive of the National Theatre, said: “It is a privilege to welcome The Duchess of Cornwall as the National Theatre’s Royal Patron. The Duchess shares our belief that theatre enriches our lives in so many ways and that everyone should have access to the arts and creativity no matter where they are in the world.”

Sharon Osbourne Returns To TV
Sharon Osbourne will be joining Piers Morgan at a new TV network in the U.K. titled TalkTV. Morgan, who indirectly played a role in Sharon’s “The Talk” scandal in 2021, announced her new gig in a video posted to TalkTV’s official Twitter account on Thursday. “So what I’m really looking for in my co-workers at TalkTV is somebody who is, well, a bit like me: very opinionated, fearless, funny, knows their own mind, not afraid to speak it, unpredictable, maybe a little bit dangerous, and also somebody who every time they open their gobby mouth it makes global news,” said Sharon. Osbourne then appears on-camera next to the British broadcaster and remarked, “Um, where do I sign Piers?” “Hi, Sharon,” Morgan replied. “Hi, darling,” Osbourne chimed. TalkTV is set to launch in Spring 2022. In the same tweet, the network wrote, “Things are set to get even more opinionated on Talk TV…” Osbourne made headlines last March when CBS announced she “decided to leave” the long-running “The Talk” following an intense discussion about race, a subsequent internal investigation and hiatus from air.

Kanye West Pulled From The Grammys
Kanye West will no longer be hitting the 2022 Grammys stage, as a rep for the artist has confirmed that his performance has been pulled due to his “concerning online behavior.” Variety confirmed the news shortly after West’s “Eazy” collaborator, rapper The Game, took to social media in a rant defending the multi-hyphenate as he faces scrutiny for harassing estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, cyberbullying Pete Davidson and using a racial slur while addressing “The Daily Show” host, Trevor Noah. “The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming,” The Game shared via Instagram Friday night. “Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions,” the MC hypothesized.
*******What a bunch of p*ssies!!! Maybe he can start his own network with Piers Morgan!!

Britney Spears Stirs Pregnancy Rumors
Britney Spears, who returned to Instagram after a two-day hiatus, quickly sent the Internet into a meltdown after sparking wild baby rumors. She has close to 40 million followers on Instagram and therefore, she dropping a hint on baby number three quickly broke the Internet. Sending her fans into overdrive, Britney Spears reposted a video clip from TikTok where a heavily pregnant stomach is seen as a sweet melodic tune plays in the background. She captioned the post as, “Mommy … get me out of here.” The singer’s Instagram comments section soon got flooded with questions as fans wondered if Britney Spears was really expecting her third child. It seems the singer had a bit of fun with her loyal fans and followers as she stayed mum on the situation. It seems, there is no truth to her pregnancy rumors as it was simply a video reposted from TikTok with the username lirios9595.

Bear Opens Car Door
A California man enjoying a corned beef sandwich in his car captured video when a trio of hungry bear cubs approached his vehicle and opened the door — twice. Bill Duvall said he was in the car with his dog in Sierra Madre and had a St. Patrick’s Day corned beef sandwich on his lap when the bear cubs appeared nearby. Duvall captured video as the cubs approached his car and immediately attempted to open the door. The bears managed to open the door two times, but both times Duvall was able to quickly close it before they could reach inside. Duvall’s wife, Sandy Lewis-Duval, said the bears are frequent visitors to the neighborhood. See the video HERE.

Cheerleaders Save The Day At NCAA Tournament
A pair of Indiana University cheerleaders sprang into action to save the day when a basketball got stuck between the backboard and the shot clock in the team’s game against St. Mary’s College. A video showed how players and referees attempted unsuccessfully to reach the ball with a pole. One referee attempted standing on a folding chair, but still came away unsuccessful. Indiana cheerleaders Nathan Paris and Cassidy Cerny sprang into action, with Cerny standing atop Paris’ hands to reach the ball. “What a play! The cheerleader saves the day,” a commentator said in the video. The cheerleaders were praised by the official IU Cheerleading account on Instagram. “Their ‘One Shining Moment’ tonight doing what they do everyday. Nathan Paris and Cassidy Cerny,” the post said. Escaped Chickens End Up In Drive-Thru
A flock of escaped chickens that wandered through busy Maine roads ended up riding shotgun through a Dunkin’ Donuts drive-through in an animal control officer’s service vehicle. Animal Control Officer Jessica Jackson of the Casco, Naples, Raymond, Harrison Regional Animal Control Department said she was called out Wednesday on a report of a flock of loose chickens wandering through traffic on Routes 302 and 11 in Naples. “It was a huge traffic hazard,” Jackson told the Bangor Daily News. “Animal safety is my job, but I was also worried about the public’s safety.” Jackson said the chickens ended up gathering on a parked oil truck at the Dodge Oil Company, located on the corner of the intersection. The officer said she was unable to identify the owner of the chickens, so she was left with the task of transporting them to a foster farm for safekeeping. See the video HERE.

7 Ways Your Commute Is Wrecking Your Health And Relationships
HUFFINGTON POST
- Your blood pressure spikes and your cardiovascular health takes a hit.
It doesn’t take long for our bodies to start feeling the effects of traveling to work. In one study, Texans who commuted distances of more than 20 miles had higher blood pressure and lower cardiorespiratory fitness in tests measuring oxygen uptake in the lungs and heart.
The stress of traffic and sitting sedentary for hours could be a reason.
“Those with longer commutes may be more likely to be exposed to heavy traffic resulting in higher stress levels and more time sitting,” the authors of the study wrote in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. “Daily commuting represents a source of chronic stress that has been positively correlated with… high blood pressure, self-reported tension, fatigue and other negative mental or physical health effects.”
- You get moodier and angrier when there are delays.
We don’t like feeling out of control, and nothing puts us in a bad mood quite like an unexpected delay. Dealing with traffic day in and day out is known to exacerbate stress and depressive symptoms in drivers.
The aggression that commuters feel on the road can even escalate to violence. One study published in the Journal of Public Economics found an association between traffic gridlock and increased domestic violence. The researchers found that on evenings when two Los Angeles major highways (I-5 and I-10) experienced extreme traffic delays, the incidence of domestic violence increased by about 9%.
“Domestic violence has been shown to be sensitive to emotional cues,” the economists behind the study, Louis-Philippe Beland and Daniel Brent, wrote for The Conversation. “When drivers were hit with worse-than-expected traffic, such as a collision, we saw more cases of domestic violence.”
- You become more of a social recluse.
A commute can wear you out and make it more likely you will turn down invitations to socialize. One 2008 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that people who regularly endured a commute longer than 20 minutes were significantly less likely to make other trips to visit friends and family, to exercise, and to tend to their personal obligations. The association between lengthy commutes and decreased socialization was even stronger for people who had commutes longer than 90 minutes.
In contrast, people who had more flexibility to choose where they work reported that this helped them become closer to their families during the pandemic, according to a survey of 1,000 American employees who previously had long commutes but began working from home when COVID hit.
More than half (58%) reported that the biggest benefit of not commuting was being able to spend more time with family. The other top benefits were lying in bed longer (30%), being able to finish more chores before starting work (14%) and having more opportunities to exercise (8%).
- You sleep less.
We carry the stress of our commutes into our home lives. One 2019 study of more than 25,000 workers in Korea found that a long commute time, in association with long working hours, increased the chances of sleep problems, even after accounting for factors like job satisfaction, income and the autonomy to determine a schedule.
The study concluded that if a commute lasted more than 60 minutes, overworked employees tended to sleep less on weekdays. And that sleeplessness adds up.
“Consequently, sleep deprivation affects their activities on the following day,” the study noted.
- You grow more unsatisfied with your job.
Your long, horrible journey to work can contribute to a sense of discontent. One study determined that it can even make you feel as unhappy as getting a pay cut.
The Commuting and Wellbeing Study, conducted by researchers at the University of the West of England, Bristol, examined the effects of commuting on more than 26,000 employed people living in England between 2009-2010 and 2014-2015.
“An additional 10 minutes each way of commuting time is associated with the equivalent effect on job satisfaction as a 19% reduction in gross personal income,” the researchers found.
Women with long commutes reported being unhappier with their jobs than their male counterparts. The researchers suggested this may be because women are more likely to deal with household and caretaking responsibilities, “which place more time pressure on them.”
However, it’s important to note that the mode of transportation played a role too. People who had short bus rides didn’t see a significant change in job happiness, but people with longer bus rides were increasingly unhappy with their jobs. Drivers and walkers reported being the most satisfied overall with their jobs.
- It can increase your odds of divorce.
When couples are apart for longer distances during the day, it can widen the relationship divides between them.
To figure this out, Swedish social geographer Erika Sandow mapped the effects of long-distance commuting on married couples in Sweden by looking at registry data from more than 2 million people between 1995 and 2005.
In her work, which was published in the journal Urban Studies, she found that people who commuted long distances ran a 40% higher risk of divorcing than couples who didn’t commute.
“To be able to commute to work can be a positive thing because it means you don’t have to uproot your family with every career move, but it can also be a strain on your relationship,” Sandow told The Local Sweden.
The first years in which a partner commuted long distances were the most trying on a marriage. If couples had been dealing with a lengthy commute for more than five years, they were only 1% more likely to divorce than non-commuter couples.
- Your lungs may be more exposed to air pollution, depending on how you commute.
The time you spend in cars on roadways can be a major source of air pollution exposure, because of the high air exchange rates of moving cars. One study published in the journal Atmospheric Environment estimated that 33-45% of total exposure to ultrafine particles for Los Angeles residents occurs due to time spent traveling in vehicles. Exposure to ultrafine particles can inflame your lungs and increase your risk of cardiovascular disease.
Of course, your mode of transportation matters. Researchers behind one study recruited Sacramento, California, residents to wear air pollution monitors as they commuted. They found that people using electricity-powered light rail trains had the least exposure to air pollution, while commuters on diesel-powered trains experienced the greatest.
