Tom Cruise Wanted To Land In James Corden’s Yard
After a story broke that Tom Cruise landed his chopper in a family’s field in Warwickshire, England, James Corden opened up about an odd request he received from the actor over the summer. “This summer, me and Tom Cruise were texting about meeting up in London,” Corden said on Tuesday’s The Late Late Show. “He sent me a text saying, ‘Whereabouts are you staying?’ And I said, ‘I’m staying in St. Johns Wood,’ which is pretty central in London… He said, ‘Cool, can I land my helicopter there?’ And I just presumed he was joking.” Corden went on to reveal that he was not, in fact, joking. “He put, ‘Can I land my heli in your yard?’ I sent back four crying emojis because who can land a helicopter in a yard? And he put, ‘Does that mean no?'” Corden quipped. Corden went on to explain to Cruise that he couldn’t land a helicopter in a small yard in the middle of central London, the actor replied, “You’d be surprised where I can land.” Cruise and Corden go way back, performing in several sketches for the Late Late Show, including one in 2018 where they went skydiving together.

Kanye West Wants To Shorten His Name
Kanye West is looking to shorten his name. Born Kanye Omari West, he filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, formally requesting to change his name to Ye – a nickname he’s gone by for years. No middle or last name was included in his proposed name. The documents, dated Aug. 11 but not entered into the court system until Tuesday, cite “personal reasons” for the change. A rep for West did not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment. A judge must approve of the change before it becomes official. Kanye’s desire to change his name was first acknowledged in a 2018 tweet from the “Power” rapper, saying, “the being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE.” Similarly, “Ye” is the title of his 2018 album. He has said in interviews that, along with being a shortening of his first name he likes, that it’s a word used throughout the Bible.

Naked Baby On Nirvana Album Suing The Band
The naked baby photographed on Nirvana’s breakthrough album “Nevermind” is now accusing the band of being child pornographers. Spencer Eldon, now 30, filed a lawsuit against Kurt Cobain’s estate and the band’s surviving members, saying the grunge pioneers violated federal child pornography statutes and sexually exploited him. Eldon also said he has suffered “lifelong damage” from having his naked body plastered on the triple-diamond selling album, and claims neither he nor his guardians consented to the naked photoshoot, according to the federal suit. The band, photographer, and record labels “intentionally marketed Spencer’s child pornography and leveraged the shocking nature of his image to promote themselves and their music at his expense,” the suit alleges. The plaintiff, who was four months old at the time of the 1991 underwater photoshoot, also claims he was forced to engage in “commercial sex acts,” and that the band went back on an alleged promise to conceal his genitals on the album cover. His family was only paid $200 for the 15-second plunge in the pool, which only happened because Elden’s dad was a friend of the photographer, according to a 2008 NPR report. Even though he seemed excited about the reenactment in 2016, days earlier the LA-based artist told Australia GQ he wished the band had stayed away. “I’m pissed off about it, to be honest … I’ve been going through it my whole life. But recently I’ve been thinking, ‘What if I wasn’t OK with my freaking penis being shown to everybody?’ I didn’t really have a choice.” Eldon’s suit seeks damages and an injunction to stop the band from profiting from the hit album.

Melissa Rivers Wants Another Baby
In a new interview, Melissa Rivers shared she’s been “thinking about” adopting a child, but is torn because of her age. “Well, I’ve been thinking about it for a very long time. I’ve been think about it for about six years now,” she told stand-up comedian Chanel Omari on the “Chanel in the City” podcast, “and you know, certain times it feels like the absolute right decision, and certain times it doesn’t feel like the right decision.” Rivers — who has a 20-year-old son — said she’s “80 percent there” in deciding to adopt but noted she’s not taking the decision “lightly.” “What really stops me is, you know, would it be fair for the child to have unfortunately, like now a little bit of an older parent, you know? Not that there’s anything wrong with that, because I’m certainly very active and you know, a goer, but it’s a lot to think about…” She said the “huge responsibility” is something she “really” wants to do but wished she had her late mother, Joan Rivers, around to guide her. “I wish I had listened to my mother, who wanted me to retrieve eggs while I was in my 30s,” Melissa recalled, “and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.’ And now I’m like, ‘F–k, I should have done it.’ You know, but, you know, so, so be it again. A house for sale in Florida is drawing attention due to an unusual feature: a centuries-old oak tree growing through the middle of the home. Stacey Purcell, owner of Gulfport Realty, said the “tree house” has proven difficult to sell due to the massive tree that passes through the middle of rooms including the kitchen. “There were people who walked in and walked out,” Purcell told WBBH-TV. Purcell said the house is “perfect” for a city with the motto: “Keep Gulfport weird.” “We have a lot of tree huggers here,” she said. “I’m surprised I haven’t sold this to a tree hugger.” The house is currently priced at $899,000. Bear Steals Amazon Package
A Connecticut homeowner who reviewed security camera footage to find out what happened to her missing Amazon package was shocked to see the thief was a black bear. Kristin Levine, of Bristol, posted a video to Facebook showing the bear taking the package from her front step and walking down her driveway with the pilfered parcel. “Amazon had dropped off the packages maybe five minutes before, and I got the alert on my security camera, and then I got a second alert five minutes later. I was taken aback because I wasn’t expecting anyone else in my driveway,” Levine told NBC Connecticut. Levine said she doesn’t know why the bear was interested in the package, as all it contained was a roll of toilet paper. “It was hysterical, like I said. I knew nothing in there was going to be irreplaceable so it was a fun afternoon, for sure,” Levine said. See the video HERE.

Big Dog… Little Pipe
Emergency responders and municipal workers gathered in a California city to rescue a large dog that became stuck in a small drain pipe. Tuolumne County Animal Control said officers were called out Monday on a report of an animal trapped in a drain pipe, and they arrived to find a large pit bull wedged in the small pipe. The Tuolumne Fire Department, Tuolumne Parks and Rec and Tuolumne City Sanitary District helped to extract the canine safely. Animal control shared a video of the dog “appreciating their bath” after being removed from the pipe. The agency said the dog was taken to the city’s shelter and was to be evaluated by a veterinarian. See the pics HERE.
