Thomas Markle Still Hopes To Make Good With Meghan
Meghan Markle’s father is still holding out hope for a reconciliation with his daughter after years of tension. A family source says that Thomas Markle Sr. is “getting up there in age” and would like the chance to turn his relationship around with his daughter if the opportunity arises. “He’s frustrated,” the insider revealed to Fox News. “He’s lived his life raising his kids. He moved to Mexico to live his life in peace and not to be completely blackballed and outcast. It doesn’t feel good [for him].” The source claimed that Meghan was closer to her father growing up than any of her other family members. “He was an awesome dad to Meghan. For him to get heat and be portrayed as this money-grabbing bum is not fair. He’s not even like that,” the source said. “He did pay for her college. That is 100% true.” Thomas has been known to speak out about his daughter in recent years after their estrangement became public amid her May 2018 royal wedding to Prince Harry. Legally Blonde 3 Update
Mindy Kaling says she’s working on the “first draft” of Legally Blonde 3. She gave an update on the film during Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live. Legally Blonde 3 is a sequel to Legally Blonde (2001) and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde (2003), starring Reese Witherspoon as sorority girl-turned-attorney Elle Woods. Kaling will co-write the new sequel with Brooklyn Nine-Nine creator Dan Goor. She answered questions about the upcoming film. She confirmed she’s had conversations with Witherspoon about the movie and said the actress has never pitched an idea that she didn’t love. “Luckily, Reese knows the character well and hasn’t done that, and so I haven’t had that issue. So far, so good,” Kaling said. Kaling said the most intimidating part of writing the sequel is trying to capture “the voice” of the beloved first film. “And also things like the Bend and Snap, there’s so many iconic moments in that, that we have to come up with our new version of that,” she said.

Chrissy Teigen has decided to stay out of everyone’s lives. TMZ paparazzi caught up with her, who told them she’s avoiding trouble by minding her own business. “I have decided I’m not getting involved in anyone’s s–t ever again,” she told the camera operators. When asked how long she could be a member of the “cancel club,” Teigen laughed and said, “I don’t know, it could be forever. I have no idea. I don’t know.” Seemingly trying to move on from the scandal, which first began when Courtney Stodden accused her of cyberbullying, Teigen explained she is focusing on her life at home. “All I can do is live my life and take care of my kids and family,” she said. “Everyone else can make their choice.” She revealed other “members” of the cancel club have reached out to her, and “they’ve been amazing.” “[I] feel like utter s–t in real life. Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne, forced her to annul her 55-hour marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander, claims divorce attorney Mark Goldberg. The now-retired lawyer who advised Alexander says that neither Britney nor Alexander wanted the nuptials annulled, but were forced to do so by Lynne Spears and Britney’s management team. “It was the mother interfering in and inserting herself into her daughter’s life,” Goldberg told the Daily Mail. “She came to Las Vegas, threw Jason out, and got him a plane ticket home.” Goldberg says that when the young couple called Lynne Spears the morning after the nuptials, “all hell broke loose.” In January 2004, Spears married Alexander at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The vows were annulled a scant 55 hours later by a petition that stated the performer “lacked understanding of her actions.” The pair, both now 39, had grown up together in the small town of Kentwood, Louisiana.

TV icon Marla Gibbs is “doing great” after appearing to faint during her acceptance speech at Tuesday’s dedication of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is 90 and is best known for her performances on the sitcoms, The Jeffersons and 227. She is still working and recently guest starred on Young Sheldon, The Last O.G. and One Day at a Time. Actress Tisha Campbell and producer Norman Lear led the speeches honoring Gibbs for a career that has spanned more than five decades. It was about 88 degrees during the ceremony, and Gibbs’ son rushed to her side to help her after she closed her eyes and stopped talking during her acceptance speech, People.com reported. Gibbs’ representative told EW.com she is “doing great” and had a “great time at the after-party.”

TSA Reunites Couple With Expensive Diamond
Transportation Security Administration employees at a New York airport were able to reunite a distraught couple with a diamond that fell from an engagement ring at a security checkpoint. The TSA said Amir Khan Durrani and his wife were flying out of John F. Kennedy International Airport and visited a coffee shop when they discovered the diamond was missing from the new bride’s engagement ring. “My wife was crying hysterically as we did not know what happened, nor did we know how to approach the situation,” Durrani wrote in an email to TSA. Durrani rushed back to the Terminal 7 TSA checkpoint, where agents joined him in the search for the missing diamond. “Everyone was extremely kind and helped me as much as they could to locate the lost diamond,” he said. “I told them that I knew this was not their job.” The couple had to catch their flight with the diamond still missing, but they arrived at their destination to find they had a voicemail message saying the diamond had been found.

Crappy Crash
The Florida Highway Patrol said a section of interstate was closed when a crash involving a dump truck loaded with cow manure caused poop to spill into the roadway. The FHP said the dump truck was involved in a crash with a semi truck at mile marker 198 in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Rockledge in Brevard County on Tuesday. No one was injured in the crash, but the dump truck’s load of cow manure spilled out onto the road, making for a messy situation for cleanup crews. Traffic was being diverted from the interstate at Fiske Boulevard until lanes could be reopened, the FHP said. See the pics HERE.

Rare Opah Fish Found On Oregon Coast
An Oregon aquarium said a colorful, 100-pound fish that washed up in the state is known as an opah fish and is “rare to the Oregon coast.” The Seaside Aquarium said the 3.5-foot fish, which is also known as a moonfish, washed up on Sunset Beach in Seaside, far from its usual home in the more temperate waters of the tropics. The fish has a round, flat body that made for an unusual sight on the beach, experts said. “They’re pretty cool fish, and we don’t normally see them on the shore,” Seaside Aquarium General Manager Keith Chandler told CNN. “It was pretty exciting for locals.” The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said researchers still don’t know much about opah fish, because they are normally found deep in the ocean. Chandler said the fish appears to have been on the beach for less than an hour before it was reported to the aquarium. “Unfortunately, it washed up not living, but we got to it before the birds,” he said.

Squirrel Causes Crash Into Historic Home
A teenage driver in Massachusetts last week swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel before crashing into a historic home built by an ancestor of President Abraham Lincoln, according to authorities. Officers were called to the Samuel Lincoln Cottage at 182 North Street in Hingham around 6:35 a.m. on July 15, Hingham Police Department said. The cottage was constructed in 1650 when Hingham was first settled, the Boston Globe reported. Police said the 19-year-old driver was in a 2014 Audi Q7 when she served to avoid hitting the squirrel in the road and “drove off the right side of the road, over the sidewalk, and into the front of the house.” Half of the vehicle ended up inside the cottage. Residents who were inside the cottage at the time were not injured. The driver was issued a citation for failing to stay in marked lanes, police said. See the pics HERE.
