Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed.
All in the blink of an eye.
False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career.
And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.
My decision to pursue this case, knowing very well the height of the legal hurdles that I would be facing and the inevitable, worldwide spectacle into my life, was only made after considerable thought.
From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that.
I am, and have been, overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the colossal support and kindness from around the world. I hope that my quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men or women, who have found themselves in my situation, and that those supporting them never give up. I also hope that the position will now return to innocent until proven guilty, both within the courts and in the media.
I wish to acknowledge the noble work of the Judge, the jurors, the court staff and the Sheriffs who have sacrificed their own time to get to this point, and to my diligent and unwavering legal team who did an extraordinary job in helping me to share the truth.
The best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun.
Veritas numquam perit.
Truth never perishes.
New Madden NFL Cover To Honor John Madden
Football icon John Madden, who died Dec. 28, will grace the cover of Madden NFL 23 this year as a tribute for his life and contributions to the game, video game company Electronic Arts announced Wednesday. The newest edition of the popular game will be released in August. Madden will grace the cover for the first time in more than two decades. Most past covers featured football stars who produced pristine performances in the NFL season leading up to the game’s release. Madden NFL 23 will feature three unique covers, which each depict the Hall of Fame coach. The Madden NFL 23 All Madden Edition will feature artwork created by Chuck Styles. “As someone who grew up loving football, playing in the suburbs of West Philadelphia, it’s a full circle moment to now be able to contribute to the culture of the sport by honoring an icon like John Madden, who has influenced generations of football fans through his passion for football and unmistakable energy, through my art,” Styles said in a news release. Another cover will feature Madden being carried off the field after he led the Oakland Raiders to a victory in Super Bowl XI. A third cover will feature a photo of Madden in the broadcast booth.
********Too bad he’s not around to see it!!!
*****In honor of Madden, they’re also including a giant turkey leg with every game!!
******We could save a lot of money by just playing the season on the Madden game!!
Queen Elizabeth Delayed By Lightning
A lightning storm delayed a plane carrying Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II from Scotland to London for the start of her Platinum Jubilee celebration, which will run through this weekend. She was aboard the plane on Tuesday headed from Aberdeen to Royal Air Force Base Northolt in northwest London when lightning in the area delayed her landing, officials said. She’d previously made a brief stop at her Scottish Balmoral estate. The plane that was carrying the 96-year-old British monarch also encountered high winds, rain and hail. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace told NBC News on Wednesday that “all correct procedures were followed” during the flight and the queen’s safety was never in danger. Queen Elizabeth II was later photographed as she was driven from the airbase in London to Windsor Castle.
*******What are the chances of being queen for 70 years?? About the same as being hit by lightning!!!
********For God’s sake, don’t lose her just before the party!!!
Matthew Morrison Fired From Dance Show
Matthew Morrison’s abrupt exit from “So You Think You Can Dance” last week was allegedly due to misconduct he exhibited toward a female contestant, according to a report. He was fired from being a judge on the show “after he had an inappropriate relationship with a female contestant,” a source told People magazine. The source went on to tell the outlet the two never “never met up off-set” but “it was just the messages that crossed the line.” “They didn’t have sex, but he reached out to her through flirty direct messages on social media,” the source added, per the report. “She felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got Fox involved. He was fired after they did their own investigation.” Morrison announced Friday that he would no longer be a judge on the show, citing a failure to follow the show’s production protocols. He departed a week after season 17 of the show premiered. At the time, it was not immediately clear what protocols he did not follow.
*********He didn’t follow protocol #1: “Don’t crap where you eat!!”
*****The show also has a strict “keep it in your pants” rule!!!

David Lee Roth Planning On Comeback
David Lee Roth alluded to coming out of “retirement” and plans to return to the stage with a “Van Halen” tribute band after performing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over the weekend. He was spotted leaving the Los Angeles International Airport where he admitted he was “only in the middle of my first retirement” months after canceling a Las Vegas residency due to the coronavirus. He was in high spirits after performing at a “birthday party for somebody who grew up” listening to the band. When asked if Roth was going back on tour any time soon, he simply responded: “There’s always a tomorrow for a singer, not so much for a trombone player these days.” He added: “How many times did Rocky retire? Seven. I think No. 3 was my favorite? How many times did Rambo have to come out of retirement in order to make the sequel?” Roth announced he was stepping away from the stage in October 2021, which would coincide with a string of shows in Las Vegas at the end of the year leading into 2022. “I am throwing in the shoes. I’m retiring,” he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal at the time. “This is the first, and only, official announcement.”
********Uh… not so much!!!
********He’s being added to Cher’s “farewell tour!!”
Harry and Meghan Arrive In The UK
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their two children landed in the UK on Wednesday ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations honoring her 70th year on the throne. They took a commercial flight instead of their usual private jet from Los Angeles to London. Queen Elizabeth II is expected to meet Lilibet for the first time in celebration of the little girl’s first birthday, which is June 4. A spokesperson says “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are excited and honored to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children.” However, due to their status as non-royals, the pair will be taking a back seat for the major events during the four-day Jubilee celebration, which kicks off June 2nd. The couple and their children will not join the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and other working members of the royal family for the official public appearance and photo op on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
*********They’ll be parking cars at the valet entrance!!!
*****The Queen had one request of Harry: “Please don’t take off your clothes in public!!!”
******Meghan was very upset: “Where’s MY jubilee??”

Jada Pinkett Smith Addresses Oscars
For the first time since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in March, Jada Pinkett Smith is addressing it in a new episode of Facebook Watch’s Red Table Talk. The slap was in response to a joke Rock made about Pinkett Smith being bald. She had previously spoken about her struggles with alopecia. “My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile,” Pinkett Smith says of her husband and Rock. “The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.” “Considering what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars, thousands have reached out to me with their stories,” she says atop the episode. “I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is.” Not only did Smith resign from the Academy after the incident, but he has also been banned from attending Oscar ceremonies for the next 10 years.
**********It took her quite awhile to come up with that!! That night at the Oscars, she thought it was funny!!

Last moment of nostalgia-
That’s probably a daily occurrence, because I’ve always got the iPod on shuffle. All of a sudden you’re time traveling, and the next thing you know you’re at the middle school dance trying to catch someone’s eye.
Last game I played-
I played Scrabble with my castmates on this show for Peacock called A Friend of the Family. I had fun throwing down as many four-letter words as I possibly could, while also exclaiming as many four-letter words as I possibly could.
Last honey-do chore-
I’ve been on location, so the list is growing. Christmas was putting stuff away, labeling it for next year. I’m not the organizer, I’m the manual labor for the organizer [his wife, Samantha Bryant]. I am getting better at doing it when not asked, but that’s the struggle. And the struggle is real.

Man Receives High School Diploma 60 Years Later
A 78-year-old California man walked across the stage alongside his high school’s class of 2022 to accept a diploma that spent 60 years locked away in a filing cabinet. Ted Sams, 78, said he was prevented from graduating in 1962 because he was suspended five days before the end of the semester and missed a final exam. Sams said he made up the exam over the summer, but was told he wouldn’t be given his diploma until he paid $4.80 for a book he failed to return. “Over the years, I complained to my kids a number of times about how $4.80 kept me from having my diploma,” Sams told KABC-TV. Sams’ old school, San Gabriel High School, invited him to finally accept his diploma at the class of 2022 graduation ceremony. Sams was presented with his original diploma, which had spent the previous 60 years locked away in a filing cabinet at the school.
*******Then they made him give it back, because he didn’t have $4.80!!!!

103 Year Old Skydiver
A Swedish woman broke a Guinness World Record when she went tandem skydiving at the age of 103. Ruth Larsson, who took her first skydiving trip at the age of 101, returned to the same skydiving business outside Motala on Sunday and jumped out of a plane at 2 p.m. A Guinness adjudicator was on hand to confirm that Larsson earned the record for oldest tandem parachute jump (female). The previous record holder, Kathryn Hodges, was 103 years and 129 days old when she jumped out of a plane in 2019. Larsson was 2 years old when Axel Raoul Thornblad became the first Swede to make a parachute jump in 1920. See the video HERE.

Tom’s Donuts in Angola held the Guinness World Record attempt Saturday and the store’s owner said customers had already started lining up to buy doughnuts when he arrived at the store at 4 a.m. A Guinness adjudicator was on hand to confirm the business sold 8,558 doughnuts Saturday, exceeding the goal of 1,700 set by the record-keeping organization. Todd Saylor, owner of Tom’s Donuts and son of business founder Tom Saylor, said the store reached the goal set by Guinness at 8 a.m. Saturday. The successful Guinness World Record attempt earned congratulations on Facebook by Angola Mayor Richard Hickman.

Elvis Weddings Ending In Vegas!
Las Vegas chapels of love that use Elvis Presley’s likeness could find themselves becoming Heartbreak Hotels. The licensing company that controls the name and image of “The King” is ordering Sin City chapel operators to stop using Elvis in themed ceremonies, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Monday. Authentic Brands Group sent cease-and-desist letters in early May to multiple chapels, which are expected to be compliant by now. With Elvis so closely tied to Vegas’ wedding industry, some say the move could decimate their businesses. “We are a family-run business, and now we’re hanging with the big dogs,” said Kayla Collins, who operates LasVegasElvisWeddingChapel.com and the Little Chapel of Hearts with her husband. “That’s our bread and butter. I don’t get it. We were just hitting our stride again through COVID, then this happens.” One chapel last weekend had its Elvis impersonator change instead into a leather jacket, jeans and a fedora for a “rock ‘n’ roll” themed ceremony, the Review-Journal reported. Graceland Wedding Chapel, which performs 6,400 Elvis-themed weddings per year, has not been served a warning yet, according to manager Rod Musum.

5 Common Morning Habits That Actually Ruin Your Sleep
HUFFINGTON POST
- You’re drinking too much caffeine
Obvious? Sure. But drinking too much caffeine in the morning can throw your entire sleep routine off track.
In general, most healthy adults can safely have up to 400 milligrams of caffeine a day. That’s the equivalent of roughly four cups of brewed coffee or two energy drinks, if that’s your thing. Remember, though: Caffeine levels in energy drinks can vary widely, and there are serious concerns about their potential impact on the body.
The effects from caffeine generally kick in within 15 minutes and peak about an hour later.
“Six hours after caffeine is consumed, half of it is still in your body,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. “It can take up to 10 hours to completely clear caffeine from your bloodstream.”
That means you can absolutely have a few cups of coffee in the morning and still be feeling them by dinnertime.
Also, keep in mind that some people are particularly sensitive to caffeine. So try cutting back for a bit to see how that affects your ability to get sufficient ZZZs.
- You’re waking up at totally different times every day
Sleeping in when you can is glorious, yes. But it can also take a toll on your broader sleep patterns. Many sleep experts suggest that people set a standard wake time and stick with it to the best of their ability, even on the weekends.
Why? If you sleep for a few extra hours on a Sunday, for example, you might not be tired again until much later than usual — which means your bedtime is thrown off and you’re likely to be pretty darn tired when you wake up early for work on Monday.
An irregular sleep schedule can also increase your risk of what experts call “social jet lag” — basically, the discrepancy between your body’s natural sleep schedule (i.e., circadian rhythm) and your social schedule, which throws off the midpoint of your sleep and has been linked to health issues such as increased inflammation and higher risk of depression.
On the other hand, there can be benefits to catching up on sleep during the weekends, especially if you have a big sleep debt. To the extent it’s possible, however, try not to make it a regular thing.
- You’re not exposing yourself to natural light
Sleep is governed by our circadian rhythms (which also influence everything from hormone regulation to body temperature). And the sun’s cycle has a huge impact on those rhythms day to day.
Your body’s circadian clock is most sensitive to light starting about two hours before your usual bedtime and lasting throughout the night up until about one hour before your usual wake time, per the CDC.
“Exposure to light during these times will affect when your body naturally gets sleepy and is ready to fall asleep,” the CDC says.
What all of this means is that exposing yourself to plenty of bright light in the morning can help shift your bedtime earlier; by the evening, you’re more likely to be sleepy and primed for rest.
- You’re not making a to-do list
Creating a to-do list is one of the most powerful things you can do to stay on track throughout the day. It can also be an effective way to combat anxiety that often creeps up at bedtime and makes it hard to fall asleep.
Not all to-do lists are created equal, though. First and foremost, it’s a good idea to write it down.
“When you try to manage your to-do list in your head, you’re likely to forget items,” HuffPost senior reporter Kelsey Borresen previously wrote. “Jotting it down on paper (or digitally in your Notes or other mobile app, if you prefer) gives you something concrete to refer to when your brain feels like mush.”
Also, make sure it’s realistic. Try to focus on three to five things you can actually accomplish, experts say. It’s a plan, not a wish list.
- You’re glued to your phone
Checking your phone immediately after waking means you’re letting someone else dictate what’s on your mind first thing. And that can set the tone for the rest of the day — right up until your bedtime.
“If we wake up and we check our phone and there’s an email from our boss that says, ‘we need to talk,’ or there’s an email from a client who’s like, ‘Hey, can I call you later?’ we can go straight from our slumber into panic mode, where your heart is racing,” Susie Moore, a life coach and author of “Let It Be Easy: Simple Ways To Stop Stressing And Start Living,” previously told HuffPost.
At that point, it can be a lot more difficult to return to a calm “intentional” state, Moore said, which can have ripple effects. So do yourself a favor and set the tone for the day by using an alarm clock rather than relying on your phone to wake you up. And try your best to make sure the time when you wake up and before you go to bed is phone-free.
