Stranger Things Watch Party
Netflix will host a late-night virtual watch party with cast members to celebrate the last two episodes of Stranger Things 4. Fans can tune in at 2:15 a.m. EDT Friday to talk live with the cast before Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 premieres 45 minutes later at 3 a.m. Stranger Things is hyping the watch party as a Thursday event, for west coast viewers, asking “Are You Ready?” David Harbour who plays Jim Hopper will take part in the Q&A, as well as Brett Gelman who plays Murray, Jamie Campbell Bower as Henry Creel/Vecna and Joseph Quinn who plays Eddie Munson. The event is free to all Netflix subscribers with the watch party hosted on Scener, an online co-viewing platform that allows viewers to watch titles on different streaming services at the same time. So far, 18,000 Stranger Things fans have registered for the event. Fans can sign-up at strangerthings4.scener.com.

R Kelly Gets 30 Years!
R Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after being convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking. U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly imposed the sentence on Kelly after a nearly three-hour hearing. Kelly did not address the court during the hearing. The victims held hands while the sentence was read and Kelly had no apparent reaction. Seven of Kelly’s victims gave impact statements during the sentencing hearing. “You made me do things that broke my spirit. I literally wished I would die because of how low you made me feel,” one woman told him. “Do you remember that?” A third woman, sobbing and sniffling as she spoke, said Kelly’s conviction restored her faith in the legal system. “I once lost hope,” she said, addressing the court and prosecutors, “but you restored my faith.” The woman said Kelly victimized her after she went to a concert when she was 17. “I was afraid, naive and didn’t know to handle the situation,” she said, so she didn’t speak up at the time. “Silence,” she said, “is a very lonely place.”

Travis Barker Has Serious Illness
Travis Barker was reportedly hospitalized for pancreatitis, sources told TMZ Wednesday. He was first rushed to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center Tuesday morning for an unknown health issue. He was then transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif., for additional care with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, by his side. According to TMZ, Barker’s pancreas became inflamed due to a recent colonoscopy procedure. Symptoms include nausea, intense stomach pain and vomiting. His current condition is unknown and a rep did not immediately return our request for comment. His daughter, Alabama Barker, appeared to hint on social media that her dad’s health had taken a serious turn after she asked for prayers. Fans and friends of Travis have taken to social media to send their well-wishes. Kid Cudi, who collaborated on the rocker’s 2011 song “Cool Head,” tweeted late Tuesday, “Travis I love u and im prayin for u.”

Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader have ended their nearly two-year relationship as quietly as they started it, “Entertainment Tonight” reported Tuesday. When asked about the report, Hader’s rep says he had no comment. Similarly, Kendrick’s rep says, “It is my company’s policy not to comment nor to share information regarding our client’s personal life.” While it is unclear when they officially got together, a source close to the couple revealed to People in January that they had been dating “for over a year.” “They are both very private people, and with the pandemic, it was easy to keep it quiet,” the source added. They met when she hosted “Saturday Night Live” in 2014. They later starred together in the 2019 Disney+ Christmas movie “Noelle.”

Fans of Ryan Seacrest are blasting Kelly Ripa for being “rude” to him during a recent episode of their talk show “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Seacrest shared a video with his 5.9 million Instagram followers earlier this week — and fans raced to the comments section to drag his co-star for perceived offenses. “You need to tell Kelly to stop interrupting you. That’s very rude,” one disgruntled fan sniped. “She does it throughout the show … every show. Very annoying. The show’s ratings go up because of you. She is a boring host.” Another vilifying viewer concurred, “Very annoying. The show’s ratings go up because of you.” Yet another hater piled on to declare: “I agree one million percent. It would sure be nice to hear Ryan finish a story. I started noticing that too, she never use to do that, seems it started after they got back in the studio, you can tell Ryan just kind of holds his breath,” another fan noted. “I hate when she talks about herself,” another Seacrest loyalist said. “She goes on.. and on…she brags too much. James Bond Is Being Reinvented
Producer Barbara Broccoli has revealed that the next James Bond film will be a complete reinvention. “Nobody’s in the running — we’re working out where to go with him, we’re talking that through,” Broccoli said during the BFI Fellowship dinner, Deadline reported. “There isn’t a script and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond,” she teased about the next iteration of the suave British spymaster. “We’re reinventing who he is and that takes time. Filming is at least two years away.” Of course, Daniel Craig was the latest actor to take the helm of Bond, starting his tenure with 2006’s “Casino Royale” and ending with 2021’s “No Time to Die.” His character was effectively killed off by Rami Malek’s villainous Safin in last year’s long-delayed action epic. Meanwhile, an always growing plethora of young male actors’ names have been thrown into the mix for some time as options to replace Craig. Rumored names have included “The Crown” star Matt Smith, Ben Barnes, “How to Get Away With Murder” alum Alfred Enoch, Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, Richard Madden and others.

She’s living in a material world! After a grueling audition process, Julia Garner has been tapped to play Madonna in an upcoming biopic directed by none other than Madge herself. The Inventing Anna actress beat out more than a dozen other women hoping to slip into the “Like Virgin” singer’s ripped fishnets and fingerless gloves. Florence Pugh and Euphoria’s Alexa Demie were said to covet the role, as did singers Bebe Rexha and Sky Ferreira. The Madonna wannabes underwent a “boot camp” that included 11-hour sessions with choreographers and script-reading with the 63-year-old. “Julia was put through her paces and then some to get this part,” an insider says of the 28-year-old. “She wouldn’t have gotten it if she and Madonna hadn’t clicked. She’s nervous but excited to take on this challenge.”

Mystery Lights Explained
Authorities in California said mysterious lights that sparked numerous discussions on social media when they were spotted in the sky over San Diego were flares being used for a military exercise. The orange lights were spotted over San Diego and the surrounding area, including as far away as Tijuana, Mexico, on Monday night, and photos and videos of the phenomenon sparked speculation on social media about space junk, satellites and UFOs. The San Diego Police Department said investigators were told by lifeguards that the lights spotted by residents were flares being used in a military exercise. Representatives from Camp Pendleton and Naval Air Station North Island said they did not have any information on the lights. See the video HERE.

Bee Truck Overturns
Beekeepers converged on a Utah highway to attempt to capture thousands of bees that swarmed in the roadway after a truck hauling more than 200 hives overturned. Authorities said the semitrailer overturned Monday in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80, near mile marker 149 in Summit County. Authorities said several people, including the driver, suffered minor injuries from bee stings. Two people were treated for stings at a local hospital. Beekeepers on the scene said the damage to the hives was severe. “Unfortunately, more is damaged than not. Maybe 5% that’s salvageable,” beekeeper Sam Cohen told KSTU-TV. “It’s sad to see.”

Cat Faces Off Against Bear
A British Columbia man captured video of his fearless cat facing off against a black bear that wandered into his driveway. Brothers Gavin and Cameron Sturrock said their cat, Tigger, is known to be mischievous and fearless, and can often be found chasing neighborhood dogs away from their home. The brothers said they were loading up the car for a camping trip outside their home in the Canyon Heights neighborhood of North Vancouver when a large black bear appeared in the driveway. “I didn’t notice right away, but my little cat was just like — he was right here,” Gavin told Global News. “He was two feet away from this bear.” Gavin said he tried to call Tigger away from the bear, and started recording video on his phone when the feline refused to comply.

Florida Man Robs Man Over Wendy’s Chicken Nuggets
A south Florida man was arrested Friday after he reportedly robbed another man at gunpoint outside a Wendy’s restaurant after refusing to buy him chicken nuggets. WPLG reported police arrested 34-year-old John Earl Taylor on armed robbery/carjacking, fleeing/eluding police and driving with a suspended license charges. According to Local 10, Taylor approached the victim outside a Wendy’s Thursday as he was getting out of his car and asked if he would buy him chicken nuggets. The victim reportedly told Taylor he couldn’t because he only had enough money for himself and went inside. As the man was leaving the restaurant, Taylor came up to him again, except this time Taylor pointed a gun at the victim, WPLG reported. Local 10 said Taylor demanded the man give him his keys and gold chain, which he did. Taylor then reportedly drove off in the victim’s car. Detectives saw the victim’s car parked the next morning.
