Spears and Joe Exotic Documentaries Coming
BBC Two is developing new documentaries about singer Britney Spears and Joe Exotic. The network said that it will explore Spears’ conservatorship battle and the #FreeBritney movement in the new film Britney. Britney follows journalist Mobeen Azahar as he seeks to uncover the truth behind the legal conservatorship Spears was first placed under in 2008. Azahar will visit Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, La., attend a court hearing, and speak to people close to Spears. BBC Two is also working on Louis Theroux: The Cult of Joe Exotic, a new film about Joe Exotic, aka The Tiger King, a former zoo operator and exotic animal breeder. Exotic was convicted in 2019 on 17 charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire, and is serving a 22-year sentence in federal prison. Theroux, who first met Exotic while filming the 2011 documentary America’s Most Dangerous Pets, will revisit Exotic’s story in the new BBC Two film. Theroux will return to Oklahoma to speak to people from his original documentary, Exotic’s team and other people close to the Tiger King.

The Talk Stays On Hiatus
CBS is continuing to investigate claims made against “The Talk” co-host Sharon Osbourne and will be extending the show’s hiatus another week, according to a statement from the network. “CBS is committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace across all of our productions,” the statement, provided by a CBS spokesperson, reads. “We’re also very mindful of the important concerns expressed and discussions taking place regarding events on ‘The Talk.’ This includes a process where all voices are heard, claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken where necessary. The show will extend its production hiatus until next Tuesday as we continue to review these issues.” The spokesperson added that there were scheduled pre-emptions for Friday and Monday’s shows due to the NCAA Tournament. Osbourne was accused of being racially insensitive after defending her friend Piers Morgan — and herself — after he accused Meghan Markle of exaggerating claims of racism in the British royal family. The discussion led to a heated exchange between Osbourne and co-host Sheryl Underwood. Osbourne issued a lengthy apology to those she offended in the black community but did not mention Underwood.

Prince Philip Kept In The Dark About Oprah Interview
Britain’s Prince Philip is “not aware of the full extent” of grandson Harry’s bombshell TV interview — and was mostly protected from the monarchy’s crisis during his four weeks in a hospital, a royal expert said. Harry and wife Meghan Markle had faced backlash for going ahead with the interview that aired across the world while Queen Elizabeth II’s 99-year-old husband remained in a London hospital after heart surgery. “The family are very keen that he’s not aware of the full extent of the interview,” royal commentator Katie Nicholl told Australia’s 9Honey. The near-constant media coverage in the UK likely made it “impossible for him to completely avoid it” even while recuperating from heart surgery, Nichols conceded. But “efforts were made to protect him from the full force of the fallout,” she said. Despite Philip being discharged, there are ongoing health concerns for the longest-serving royal consort in British history, who is due to turn 100 in June, Nichol said.

Demi Lovato Opens Up About Overdose
Demi Lovato admits that she sometimes used needles to inject heroin — but that she preferred smoking the dangerous drug because she thought it would be safer. She says in her new YouTube docuseries that she thought avoiding syringes would prevent an overdose. Unfortunately, Lovato found out she was wrong, as she overdosed in July 2018 while smoking heroin and also ingesting fentanyl-laced Oxycodone. “I am not saying that I have not used needles, but [the night of my overdose] I wasn’t injecting it,” she says in “Dancing With the Devil.” “I was smoking it, which is another reason why I was so shocked when I woke up in the hospital because I was like, ‘No, I’m not injecting it I can’t overdose on it.’” The drugs had been supplied by a dealer, whom she also claims sexually assaulted her.

Raccoon Invader
An Ohio police officer responded to a resident’s home to remove a raccoon found sleeping in the dishwasher after it broke in through a bathroom light and ransacked the kitchen. The North Ridgeville Police Department said the “masked bandit” broke into the home, trashed the kitchen and “took a well-deserved nap” in the home’s dishwasher, where it was found by a resident. Patrolman John Metzo, nicknamed the department’s “absurd animal call officer” after previous encounters with a kangaroo and a cow, responded to the home to remove the invading raccoon. The raccoon was safely removed from the home without injury, the department said. See the pic HERE.

$1 Million Winning Ticket Sat In The Car
A Kansas lottery player said their ticket for the Holiday Millionaire Raffle sat forgotten in their vehicle for more than two months before they discovered it was a $1 million grand prize winner. The Osage County resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told Kansas Lottery officials they only bought one ticket for the 2020 Holiday Millionaire Raffle, but bought it early enough so it would be eligible for all three Early Bird drawings. “I made sure to check my ticket after every Early Bird drawing, but forgot about checking it for the final drawing,” the winner recalled. “It was only until today that I saw it in my vehicle’s console and thought I’d take it in to check it along with my scratchers.” Scanning the ticket, No. 028244, resulted in the player being told to contact lottery officials in Topeka. The player called the lottery office to check the prize amount and discovered it was the grand prize. “They told me to sit down before telling me I won $1 million! We were in complete shock and started crying — we were so happy about the win,” the winner said.

Dog Crashes Jeep
A Jeep crashed into a building in Wisconsin and the incident is being blamed on the inexperience of the vehicle’s driver: a dog. Sturgeon Bay Police said officers responded Wednesday to art museum Pearl of Door County, where a Jeep had crashed into the building. The vehicle’s owner told police his Jeep had been parked at a gas station while he went across the street to the Sunflower Bakery, and when he came outside the vehicle had crashed into Pearl. The owner said his 5-year-old Australian shepherd, Callie, had apparently knocked the shifter out of park and the vehicle rolled into the building. “It’s not every day that a dog drives a Jeep across traffic and right in to your business!” Pearl of Door County said in a Facebook post. Police said no one was injured in the crash.

A British man who decided to attempt a Guinness World Record while in COVID-19 lockdown captured the title for fastest time to drink a Capri Sun pouch: 16.65 seconds. Declan Evans, 20, of Lincoln, said he started to look for records to break while in lockdown during the summer and discovered Guinness had set the benchmark time for the record at 18 seconds, but it had yet to be officially attempted. Evans said he performed several trial runs to master his technique and ended up with an official time of 16.65 seconds. “It is a stupid record to hold, but that is the fun of the Guinness World Records,” Evans told The Lincolnite. “I think it will definitely get beaten. I wouldn’t say it was that fast. “It is a silly record anyone can try, but I am proud to have it and it is still a world record. Once I achieved it, it was quite rewarding and I want to try more records in the future.”

We love this app that aims to connect two of the loneliest groups: seniors and college kids.
The Papa App, which is currently operating in cities across 17 states, provides “grandkids on demand”: college students, mainly, who are looking for extra money who help seniors with grocery shopping, chores, tech help and genuine companionship.
The company used to employ only college students as Papa Pals but has dropped that requirement. Now, to qualify, you must have at least four days of availability per week, demonstrate some tech savvy and pass a background check. There are further requirements for driving if you do in-person visits.

True story: This Miami woman cultivated a legitimate business from a side hustle scratching other people’s backs.
If that sounds a little weird, stop and think for a moment how good it feels to get a thorough back-scratch. See? So maybe it’s not so surprising that people pay $50 for a half hour of that feeling.
