People’s Choice Awards

Kenan Thompson will return to host the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.  Organizers announced Wednesday that he will host the awards show for his second consecutive year.  This year’s ceremony will take place Dec. 6 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.  Thompson is nominated for Comedy TV Star of 2022 for his work on Saturday Night Live.  “I’m beyond excited to host the People’s Choice Awards again this year and celebrate the incredible talent and fans that this show unites,” the star said. “I’m so grateful to be nominated — shoutout to the fans and congrats to all the nominees. Get ready for round two!”  Bad Bunny leads the 2022 nominees with seven nominations, while British singer and actor Harry Styles has six. The pair will compete for Male Artist of 2022, Song of 2022, Album of 2022 and Music Video of 2022. Luke Combs, Selena Gomez, Lizzo and Charlie Puth follow with four nominations each.  The People’s Choice Awards will air Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC and E!  Fans can vote for their favorite stars now through Nov. 9th.

Martha Stewart Says She’d Date A Cute Pete Davidson

Martha Stewart on Tuesday said she would go on a date with newly single and “sort of cute” Pete DavidsonDrew Barrymore addressed social media wanting Martha to couple up with Pete during a game on her talk show.   “Your date has as many tattoos as Pete Davidson,” Barrymore told Stewart, 81, during a segment where she was supposed to raise a green, red or yellow flag if she approved of a hypothetical date.   “I knew it! Martha, you minx, I knew it!” the host laughed as Stewart immediately raised a green flag. Stewart continued to raise the green flag when Barrymore changed the hypothetical to “Your date is Pete Davidson.”   “There’s a thing on the internet where everybody wants you to go on a date with Pete Davidson,” Barrymore said of a viral photo that surfaced of Stewart holding Davidson’s hand from the pre-White House Correspondent’s Association Dinner in May. His then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian was also in the photo.   Stewart said she met him when he was a “little twerp” on the 2015 Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber with her. “He was even twerpier than Bieber,” she added as Barrymore started hysterically laughing. “Who’s also very cute by the way.”   She called Davidson, 28, a “good guy,” adding he knows “how to get in and get out.”  Stewart clarified that she thinks of Davidson more as her “lost son” when Barrymore noted that the comedian has dated older women in the past.

Matthew Perry Knows Which Drugs He Used On Friends Episodes

Matthew Perry writes in his memoir that his changing appearance throughout 10 seasons of “Friends” serves as a dead giveaway for which drugs he was using at the time.  “You can track the trajectory for my addiction if you gauge my weight from season to season,” the actor writes in “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,” out Nov. 1.  “When I’m carrying weight, it’s alcohol; when I’m skinny, it’s pills. When I have a goatee, it’s lots of pills.”  Perry shares that by the end of the third season of the hit NBC sitcom, on which he played Chandler Bing, he was trying to obtain 55 Vicodin a day — otherwise he’d get “so sick.”  He attributes his extremely thin frame to his opioid addiction, as the drugs suppress appetite and cause vomiting. He writes that his weight varied “between 128 pounds and 225 pounds” over the course of the series.

Spotify Not Pulling Kanye’s Music

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek has attacked Kanye West for his “just awful” anti-Semitic outbursts — but insisted he has no plans to yank his music from service.  Responding to calls to pull the artist now known as Ye from his site, Ek insisted that it would only be an issue if the fallen fashion mogul’s “just awful comments” were broadcast on Spotify, such as in a podcast.  “It’s really just his music, and his music doesn’t violate our policy,” Ek said of Ye’s material on Spotify.  “It’s up to his label, if they want to take action or not,” said Ek of the decision over Ye’s groundbreaking catalog of music.  If such a request was made, “Obviously we’ll respect their wishes,” insisted Ek.  Universal Music’s Def Jam label owns the copyright to West’s recordings from 2002 through 2016, with its record contract expiring last year with “DONDA.”  Without calling for the rapper’s music to be removed, the label stressed: “There is no place for antisemitism in our society.”

King Charles Keeps The Royal Bagpiper

King Charles III is continuing the royal tradition of having bagpipes played as a morning alarm call.  On Tuesday, the monarch’s new official piper, Pipe Major Paul Burns, performed on the grounds of Clarence House for the first time since Charles became King following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.  The King is primarily based at the London residence while Buckingham Palace continues to undergo major renovation works.  In the video shared by the royal family on Twitter on Tuesday, the melodic tones of bagpipes ring out as Burns carries out his morning duty.  The position of Piper to the Sovereign was created by Queen Victoria in 1843 after she became enamored by the sound during a visit to the Scottish Highlands with her husband, Prince Albert. Since then, there have been 17 chief pipers.  Throughout her historic 70-year reign, Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed the special tradition and Burns, of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, took up the role last year.  The musician plays for 15 minutes to alert the royal household that it’s time to start their day. They also play on state occasions.

Shark Takes A Big Bite Out Of Surf Board

An Australian teenager participating in a surf ski race escaped injury when a suspected great white shark approached and bit a hole in his surf ski.  Nathaniel Drummond was competing in the race Sunday at Seacliff Beach in Adelaide, South Australia, when he was flung into the ocean by a sudden impact.  “The shark just came up and hit me from beneath,” Drummond told 7News. “All of a sudden I felt my ski just lift above the water and next thing I knew I was in the air and then I was in the water.”  Competitors rushed to Drummond’s aid and he was given a ride back to shore on another surf ski.  Drummond’s surf ski was recovered and he discovered a shark had bitten a hole in the bottom, near where his feet had been.

Lost Mardi Gras Rings Found Six Years Later

A former high school football star who lost two championship rings during a Mardi Gras parade was reunited with his lost items when they were found by a man using a metal detector six years later.  Higel Harris said he was riding on a Mardi Grad parade float in downtown Mobile, Ala., when his 1990 and 1992 championship rings from Mattie T. Blount High School fell from his finger.  “After I got home, after the parades and stuff, I started looking everywhere and could never find them and I just had never found them,” Harris told WALA-TV. “For me the hard work that I put in for them, they meant a lot to me.”  Harris received a call recently from Jamie Malone, a stranger who said he had found some of Harris’ lost property.  “I was feeling in my pockets like did I lose my wallet? So I’m like I haven’t lost anything so I’m like why would they be calling me?” Harris recalled.  Malone turned out to have found Harris’ rings while using his metal detector in downtown Mobile.  “I was sitting at home and decided I wanted to do a little metal detecting and so I got a signal on the ground and bent down, dug it up, and there was one ring,” Malone said. “And dug a little deeper and there was a second ring.”  Harris said he was overjoyed to get his rings back.

Drive-Thru Temper Tantrum

Police in Georgia are looking for a man who they say threw a “temper tantrum” in a fast food restaurant’s drive-thru.  The Waynesboro Police Department shared surveillance video of the man, who appears to reach inside the drive-thru window and throw several objects.  “This guy took ‘Have it your way’ too far after he decided his order wasn’t to his liking (it didn’t have anything to do with ice cream machines, I swear) and threw a temper tantrum, among other things, at the drive-thru of one of our local fast food restaurants,” the police department said.  Surveillance video of the man shows him throwing multiple drink containers through the window of the drive-thru.  “Let it be known that this type of behavior will not be tolerated in the city of Waynesboro,” the police department said. “We would like to serve him a criminal charge combo.”

Man Arrested For Giving Co-Worker Bleach

A Florida Dollar General employee has been arrested for allegedly pouring bleach into his co-worker’s drink after an argument.   Jerome Ellis, a DeLand Dollar General employee was arrested on charges of poisoning food or water and tampering with evidence after video surveillance showed Ellis pouring bleach into his co-worker’s can of Pepsi on Monday, an arrest affidavit states.  Ellis and the victim reportedly got into an argument the day before, and the victim told police he believed Ellis was holding a grudge against him, deputies said.   The man told deputies he placed a Pepsi he was drinking on a counter before going to the restroom. When he came back and took a drink from the can, it tasted like bleach or cleaning supplies.   When deputies arrived at the store, video surveillance showed Ellis pouring bleach into the Pepsi can while the victim was in the bathroom. He also reportedly wiped the can off, walked away, and came back to spit in the drink, deputies said.

Use breath to send the touch sensations all over your body with deep inhales and exhales. Another way to slow things down is to take genitals out of the play for the night and try focusing on making out, chest play, grinding, dry humping. Mindfulness is the practice of learning to be in the present moment. Research shows that people who practice mindfulness experience more desire.
