Kylie Jenner Confirms She’s Pregnant

Kylie Jenner confirmed that she’s expecting her second child with her partner, Travis Scott.  She shared the news in a video on Instagram. In the video, Jenner has an ultrasound, shows her baby bump, and has Stormi, her 3-year-old daughter with Scott, surprise her mom, Kris Jenner, with the news.  Jenner’s sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, models and sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid, and model Hailey Baldwin were among those to celebrate Jenner’s pregnancy in the comments.  “i can’t handle it,” Kendall Jenner wrote. “I cant so beautiful. Bawling!!! best mama. So happy for u,” Bella Hadid added.  Reports surfaced in August that Jenner and Scott are expecting another child.  “She has been trying for almost two years to get pregnant,” a source told Us Weekly. “She has always wanted another kid close to Stormi’s age.”  Jenner and Scott started dating after meeting at Coachella music festival in April 2017.  They split in September 2019 but were on good terms as of February 2020 and have since reconciled.

Bob Odenkirk Returns To “Saul” Set

Bob Odenkirk confirmed on Wednesday he has returned to work on the set of his hit TV series “Better Call Saul.”  He suffered a heart attack and collapsed while filming the show just months ago.  “Back to work on Better Call Saul! So happy to be here and living this specific life surrounded by such good people. BTW this is makeup pro Cheri Montesanto making me not ugly for shooting!” he joked on Twitter.   In late July, the actor collapsed on the set in Culver City, California. Days later, he took to social media to address the reports and thanked fans and loved ones for their well wishes. “To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much,” he tweeted.  “I had a small heart attack. But I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery,” he continued in a subsequent message to fans. “Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level.  I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon.”  Odenkirk has been nominated for four Emmys for playing the title character, a down-on-his-luck lawyer named Jimmy McGill, who becomes increasingly corrupt and adopts the pseudonym Saul Goodman.

Dancing With The Stars Names New Cast

The celebrity cast for the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars” was announced Wednesday.  Season 30 is set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 20 with Tyra Banks returning as host and executive producer following her debut last year as the show’s first Black female host and solo emcee.   Season 30 will welcome Mel C from the Spice Girls, former “Bachelor” star Matt James, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore, country singer Jimmie Allen, talk show host Amanda Kloots, olympic gymnast Suni Lee, YouTube sensation JoJo Siwa, “Bling Empire” star Christine Chiu and Lori Loughlin’s daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli.  Other contestants include NBA star Iman Shumpert, “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum Brian Austin Green, Peloton cycling director Cody Rigsby, pro wrestler Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, actor Martin Kove and actress Melora Hardin.  Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, former dance pro Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli will make up the judging panel.

Blue’s Clues Host Returns

Younger millennials are breathing a collective sigh of relief after learning that former “Blue’s Clues” host Steve Burns is doing well since he signed off some 20 years ago — and that he never forgot about his now-adult fans.  He appears in a video posted Tuesday to the Nick Jr. verified Twitter account.  In honor of the show’s 25th anniversary, Burns talks about his decision to abruptly depart the show in 2002, which left many viewers upset.  “You remember how when we were younger, we used to run around and hang out with Blue and find clues and talk to Mr. Salt and freak out about the mail and do all the fun stuff?” Burns says in the video.  “And then one day, I was like, ‘Oh hey, guess what? Big news, I’m leaving. Here’s my brother Joe, he’s your new best friend,’ and then I got on a bus and I left and we didn’t see each other for like a really long time? Can we just talk about that? Great. Because I realize that was kind of abrupt.”  Burns explained that he left to attend college. Burns said school “was really challenging by the way, but great because I got to use my mind and take a step at a time and now I literally am doing many of the things that I wanted to do.”  He also noted all of the accomplishments both he and the audience have had.  “I mean, we started out with clues and now, it’s what?” Burns said. “Student loans and jobs and families? And some of it has been kind of hard, you know? I know you know.”

Prince Andrew Avoids Being Served

Prince Andrew has reportedly avoided “multiple attempts” to serve him legal papers on behalf of his sex-assault accuser — and has bolted 500 miles to the safety of mom Queen Elizabeth II’s Scottish getaway, just days before the first hearing.  Lawyers for Virginia Roberts Giuffre — who is suing Andrew in New York — had already conceded that it would be “difficult” to serve him in person.  He has since been a recluse at his home in the Royal Lodge in Windsor — where security guards have turned away lawyers trying to serve the US court papers, according to the Sun.  After avoiding “multiple attempts” in the past two weeks, Andrew on Tuesday bolted for an even safer location — his mother the monarch’s Scottish estate, Balmoral, the paper noted.  He was photographed in a car with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, as the pair drove from their shared home to the Queen’s 50,000-acre (78-square-mile) estate, where they had been earlier in the summer, the outlet said.  The photographs show them arriving in the same Range Rover they left Windsor in — suggesting they were driven the more than 500-mile journey, which would typically take at least 9 hours, rather than risking catching a flight.  He fled after “going stir-crazy inside Royal Lodge for the past few weeks,” a source told the paper.  “He wasn’t going horse riding and couldn’t step outside because of attempts to serve him with the legal papers.  “He knows he is far safer up at Balmoral on the Queen’s estate,” the source said, noting Andrew has long been thought to be “the Queen’s favorite son.”

Bears Moving Into Evacuated Homes

A California man who evacuated his home due to a wildfire said his security camera alerted him to an unusual trespasser taking advantage of the vacant area — a curious bear.  Michael Doyle said he and his wife left their South Lake Tahoe home due to the Caldor Fire and while staying in Carmichael he received an alert from his security cameras, which are connected to a smartphone app.  Doyle checked the footage and was surprised to see a bear wandering through his yard, knocking over potted plants and a rain barrel.  “It’s definitely time for us to go home!” Doyle told KCRA-TV.  Doyle said it does not appear that the bear got into his home, but he won’t be sure until he can return to the house.  See the video HERE.

Stunt Pilot Flies Thru Long Tunnel

An Italian stunt pilot created a new Guinness World Record when he flew a custom-modified plane 1.4 miles through a pair of tunnels in Turkey.  Dario Costa, 41, took his modified Zivko Edge 540 race plane for a 1.4-mile flight through the twin Catalca tunnels along the Northern Marmara Highway in Turkey, setting the Guinness World Record for the longest tunnel flown through with an airplane.  Costa said it took about a year of practice to prepare for the 43.44-second flight.  “I’d never flown in a tunnel in my life — nobody had ever done it — so there was a big question mark in my head whether everything would go as we expected,” Costa told Red Bull, which sponsored the attempt.  “It was a big relief, of course, but big, big happiness was the main emotion. For me, it’s another dream come true.”

Teen Makes 3D Prosthetic Hand

A 14-year-old aspiring engineer in New Jersey used a 3D printer to create a prosthetic hand for a friend who is missing multiple fingers on one hand.  Sammy Salvano, 14, of Medford, said he spent most of the summer designing and 3D-printing the prosthetic hand for his friend, Ewan Kirby.  Kirby said Salvano’s invention allowed him to pick up his mother’s car keys for the first time.  The homemade device offered a low-cost alternative to commercial prosthetics, which can cost between $3,000 and $30,000.  Sharon Salvano, Sammy’s mother, said the boy has had an inventive streak for his entire life.  Salvano, who is entering the eighth grade, said he hopes to attend Drexel University and pursue a career in engineering.

Man Rescued From NYC Storm Drain

Dramatic video shows the rescue of a 47-year-old man who fell nearly 30 feet down into a storm drain in New York City.  NYPD and FDNY first responders saved the man whose forehead was slashed and leg was injured.  “As we got down there he was conscious, he was talking to us, he expressed pain in his ankle region,” said Kenneth Logallo of the NYPD, according to WABC-TV. “As soon as we got the equipment needed down there, we packaged him up and then the guys up top … all the help was excellent.”  Investigators found the man’s brother at the scene who told authorities his brother had a history of mental illness and had called him after the fall left him trapped.   The victim allegedly was scaling a ladder of a water shaft near a Queens highway on Sunday morning.  “You would never find this place. It was in the middle of nowhere, an old water shaft with a stream running down the bottom of it,” said FDNY Special Operations Chief Patrick Ginty, the New York Daily News reported. “Just an open shaft.”  See the video HERE.
