Nick Cannon Having Another Set Of Twins
Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa have twin boys on the way. He and De La Rosa announced Sunday that they are expecting twin sons. De La Rosa shared the news on Instagram alongside a video of herself and Cannon. The video shows the couple embracing and holding hands as De La Rosa shows her baby bump. “Our dearest sons – my miracle babies, Thank you for choosing me to be your Mommy. I know the Lord has destined me and prepared me for the gift of not one but two little angels,” De La Rosa captioned the post. “I pray that God give you both the strength to walk brave and boldly in your individual truth just like your Daddy. That God bless you and your brother and guide you into living out your full purpose,” she said. Prince William Pays Tribute To Grandpa
Prince William paid tribute to his late grandfather, Prince Philip, in a moving statement posted to social media on Monday. “My grandfather’s century of life was defined by service – to his country and Commonwealth, to his wife and Queen, and to our family,” the statement began. William continued: “I feel lucky to have not just had his example to guide me, but his enduring presence well into my own adult life – both through good times and the hardest days. I will always be grateful that my wife had so many years to get to know my grandfather and for the kindness he showed her. I will never take for granted the special memories my children will always have of their great-grandpa coming to collect them in his carriage and seeing for themselves his infectious sense of adventure as well as his mischievous sense of humour!” The statement included a photo from 2015 of Prince Philip sitting next to William and Kate Middleton’s eldest son, Prince George, while in a carriage. On Sunday, Princess Anne, the only daughter of Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth, reflected on her father’s passing as well. She wrote, “You know it’s going to happen but you are never really ready.” “My father has been my teacher, my supporter and my critic, but mostly it is his example of a life well lived and service freely given that I most wanted to emulate,” she continued.

American Idol judge Luke Bryan has tested positive for COVID-19. He announced the news via Twitter ahead of the show’s taping yesterday. “I’m doing well and look forward to being back at it soon,” he reassured fans. It’s unclear if Bryan’s wife Caroline Boyer also tested positive for coronavirus. The couple — who have been married since 2006 — share two sons Thomas, 13, and Tatum, 10. Bryan, 44, has been a judge on the singing competition show since Season 16 (2018) when it was rebooted on ABC.

Regé-Jean Page isn’t returning to “Bridgerton” because he didn’t like what the producers had planned for his character, the Duke of Hastings. “Regé is not coming back to ‘Bridgerton’ because of creative differences with [executive producer] Shonda Rhimes and her team,” a Hollywood source says. The source added, “He wasn’t happy with what was planned for his character for Season 2, which would have kept him a player but not the focal point of the show.” Plus, “Regé has been inundated with offers for other interesting and challenging leading roles.” But the source continued, “If you look at all the big names who have left [Rhimes’ hit show] ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in the past, you see you don’t disagree with Shonda, nobody is bigger than the show,” adding that Page is leaving on good terms despite the “creative differences.”

Prince Philip To Have Electric Land Rover For Funeral
Prince Philip will reportedly receive an eco-friendly send-off – lying in a $1,200 wool coffin carried by an electric Land Rover. The funeral Saturday for the Duke of Edinburgh, who died in his sleep Friday at age 99, will reflect his green ideology, reported The Sun, which noted that he was among the first to highlight climate change in the 1950s. Leverton and Sons, the London-based undertakers who organized Princess Di’s funeral in 1997, have been chosen to handle Prince Philip’s services. The company, which employed Britain’s first all-electric hearse, also were involved in arrangements for the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Company director Clive Leverton said: “You see someone who has been forever in the newspapers, and then you see their dead body in front of you. But we are not there to stand around and weep. “It was the same with Diana, although that was quite traumatic because of the circumstances,” he added. AW Hainsworth, a company that manufactures wool coffins and made the military uniforms worn by Prince William and Prince Harry at their weddings, will make the coffin for the late consort of Queen Elizabeth II, according to the report.

Macaulay Culkin and girlfriend Brenda Song are parents. They welcomed their first child together, son Dakota Song Culkin, on April 5 in Los Angeles, a rep for Culkin announced Monday. “We’re overjoyed,” the couple said in a statement. Baby Dakota weighed in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and is named in honor of Culkin’s late sister Dakota, who died in 2008 at age 29 from injuries sustained after being struck by a car. Last February, Culkin spoke to Esquire about his desire to have a family with Song, his girlfriend of four years. “We practice a lot,” he quipped. “We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Cat Rescued By Tree Trimmer
An Arkansas woman said her cat was stuck up a tree for 18 days before being successfully brought back to earth by a tree trimmer. Beverly McIntosh of Jonesboro said her cat, Sparkles, scaled the 60-foot tree, and in the ensuing days, she and several friends tried unsuccessfully to reach the cat using a ladder. “Everyone came up and got on that ladder to get her and she just would run farther and farther away,” McIntosh told KAIT-TV. McIntosh said she tried contacting multiple organizations, but was repeatedly told Sparkles would come down on her own if food was left at the base of the tree. She said weeks went by without Sparkles showing any signs of coming down, and she learned of an organization called ARC Angels 4 Animals. “When we got the call, Sparkles had been in the tree two weeks going on three,” ARC Angels 4 Animals founder Angie Heringer said. Heringer posted photos and video to Facebook showing the moment the trimmer was able to capture Sparkles and bring her back down to solid ground. Sparkles had been in the tree for 18 days.

Dish Soap Turns Into Lottery Win
A man who stopped at a Virginia store to buy dish soap for his job ended up winning a $1 million lottery prize while running the errand. Brian Jasper, of Fuquay Varina, N.C., told Virginia Lottery officials he builds paint booths for body shops, and during a recent job in the Fredericksburg, Va., area, he stopped into the Royal Farms store to pick up dish soap he needed for the job. Jasper said he decided to buy a Commonwealth scratch-off lottery ticket in the store, and he scratched the ticket when he got back to his truck. “I saw all the zeros, and it blew my mind,” Jasper said. “I’ve never won something like this before!” The ticket was a $1 million top-prize winner.

Woman Ends Up In Quicksand
A Boston woman taking her son’s dog for a walk tried to take a shortcut to the beach and ended up needing to be rescued when she sank into some deep mud. Camille Coelho, 54, said she was taking her son’s dog, Lucy, to walk on Constitution Beach in East Boston to find sea glass for her jewelry business when she decided to take a shortcut through what appeared to be gravel, but turned out to be mud. “I have never walked these flats. I don’t plan on walking the flats again,” Coelho told WBZ-TV. “It looked like it was gravel, and I was trying to cut through the gravel to get to the beach. And it was not gravel.” Coelho said she ended up more than knee-deep in the mud. “It’s a great metaphor for the year,” she told the Boston Herald. “I can’t believe it. I stepped in mud and pretty soon it was up to my knees and I was stuck.” Witnesses summoned firefighters to the scene and they put a ladder down on long boards to reach Coelho and Lucy, who did not sink but remained dutifully by Coelho’s side.

Brain Implant Helps Monkey Play Video Game
Elon Musk’s brain implant company Neuralink has released a video showing how it has taught a monkey – Pager, a nine-year-old macaque – to play the video game Pong with its mind. The video follows Mr Musk’s assertion in February that the company has “a monkey with a wireless implant in their skull with tiny wires” that it uses to play video games. Neuralink Corporation, which Elon Musk owns alongside his SpaceX and Tesla businesses, previously claimed to have implanted coin-sized wireless sensors inside the brains of two pigs, describing the sensors as “a Fitbit in your skull with tiny wires”. At the time of the video, Pager was six weeks on from having had the Neuralink devices installed – one in each side of his brain – and in that time has learned to interact with a computer for a “tasty banana smoothie” delivered through a straw. The implants work by recording signals in Pager’s motor cortex that normally coordinates hand and arm movements. “Our goal is to enable a person with paralysis to user a computer or phone with their brain activity alone,” says the narrator during the video of Pager.

- When you’re tired.
Sleep certainly isn’t for the weak. If you’re feeling run down, don’t feel obligated to commit to something. Studies show sleep deprivation is no joke: It can affect your immune system and your mood and increase your risk for disease. Not worth it.
- When you’re uncomfortable.
Did you get invited to a friend’s birthday party that your ex will be attending? If the thought of going makes your stomach churn, reconsider. Toxic situations are hardly worth the stress.
There are times when taking a leap out of your comfort zone is a great idea, but when your gut instinct is telling you something’s off, pay attention. Research shows our internal red flags are a real phenomenon. Sometimes it’s better just to listen to them.
- When you can’t manage the time commitment.
People often wear “busy” as a badge of honor, especially in the workplace. However, that mentality can lead to burnout and serious health risks like chronic stress.
“Even if professional success is the most important thing to you, depriving yourself of sleep, never letting yourself recharge, never disconnecting, not allowing any time for quiet reflection and for those you love — is not a sustainable career strategy,” HuffPost president and editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington wrote in a blog on burnout. “Not only are quantity of work and quality of work two very different things, at some point — more quickly than you think — they become inversely related.”
If you find yourself overbooked and overwhelmed, it might be time to flex your “no.”
- When you’re uninterested.
Life’s too short to spend your energy on circumstances that don’t engage your heart or mind. You should constantly be pursuing activities and circumstances that help you grow instead of solely filling your schedule with the mundane.
This idea particularly goes for your professional life: Research shows meaningful work makes employees happier. You need something that ignites your interest. Pursue those opportunities wherever you can.
- When you’re saying “yes” just to please someone.
Constantly putting your needs on the back burner is hardly healthy. According to a 2012 study, people pleasers tend to unknowingly give into unspoken social pressures. In other words, they often say “yes” without processing what they want first.
Remember that you are your own biggest advocate. Self-care is not always selfish.
- Whenever the hell you want to.
Ultimately, it’s your life. Make whatever choices are going to be best for you and your well-being. If that means declining, then say it with conviction. Because by saying “no” to circumstances you don’t want in your life, you’re saying “yes” to yourself — and that’s a beautiful thing.
