Justin Bieber Back On Stage
Justin Bieber returned to the stage on Sunday night in Italy at the Lucca Summer Festival for his first performance in nearly two months after he was forced to cancel a string of shows following his Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis which causes partial facial paralysis. He appeared to give an energetic production to his Italian fans who tweeted clips of him dancing shirtless in the spotlight while performing songs from his catalog of hits. It appears as though Bieber is on the mend as his tour website has updated stops to include concerts in Europe before heading to South America in September. He’s also set to perform two shows in South Africa followed by more than a dozen performances in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand by the end of the year.

Beyonce Removes Offensive Word From Song
Beyoncé confirmed she would remove a lyric from a track on her new album, “Renaissance,” after disability charities and activists called it “ableist” and “offensive.” Fans and activists criticized the use of the word “spaz” in the song “Heated.” The word has been used to refer in a derogatory way to people with disabilities, especially people with cerebral palsy. In African American Vernacular English, a dialect of English created and used in Black communities, the word means to “go crazy” or “fight.” In a statement to Insider, a rep for her said the lyric would be changed. “The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced,” the statement said. In June, Lizzo apologized and rereleased the song “Grrrls” with new lyrics after she received backlash for including the same word in the song.

Elon Musk’s dad held nothing back when asked by Australian radio talk show hosts to weigh in on his son’s life and career, revealing he was not proud of the billionaire businessman and favored his brother Kimbal. Errol Musk called in to Kyle and Jackie O’s show on the Australian radio station KIIS FM for a brutally honest, 20-minute interview, in which he downplayed Elon’s success and took a swipe at his physical appearance — claiming that he even suggested the 50-year-old take diet pills after seeing his shirtless photos on a boat in Greece. “Your offspring is a genius. He’s worth so much money and has created so many things, you can’t take that away from him. Are you proud?” presenter Jackie O asked the South African patriarch. “No. You know, we are a family that have been doing a lot of things for a long time, it’s not as if we suddenly started doing something,” Errol replied. Elon is Errol’s eldest son with his first wife, Maye Musk. The couple also shares daughter Tosca and son Kimbal, whom the dad described during the bizarre interview as his “pride and joy.” Kimbal Musk, 49, is a chef and restaurateur who operates The Kitchen Restaurant Group in the US. Stallone Angry About New Drago Film
Sylvester Stallone is extremely upset about the new Rocky and Creed spin-off, has dubbed the franchise’s owners ‘parasites’, and called out Dolph Lundgren for not telling him about plans for the movie in advance. After hearing about Drago – the upcoming film starring Dolph Lundgren and Florian Munteanu, Stallone unleashed a damning rant via Instagram: “Heartbreaker… Just found this out… ONCE AGAIN, IRWIN WINKLER , this PATHETIC 94 year old PRODUCER and HIS MORONIC VULTURE CHILDREN, Charles And David , are once again picking clean THE BONES of another wonderful character I created without even telling me,” he said. “I APOLOGIZE to the FANS , I never wanted ROCKY characters to be exploited by these parasites… By the way, I once had nothing but respect for Dolph but he NEVER told me about what was going on behind my back with the character I created for him !!! REAL FRIENDS Are more precious than gold.” Stallone has been very vocal about his displeasure with the current state of the Rocky franchise. Amber Heard’s Past Unsealed
Newly unsealed pre-trial documents from the Depp v. Heard defamation case show Johnny Depp’s lawyers attempting to bring up ex-wife Amber Heard’s previous job as an exotic dancer in court — as her team claimed his team was “maliciously” suggesting Heard had been an escort. Over the weekend, thousands of pages of filings from months of proceedings became unsealed, showing what attorneys on both sides of the trial wanted excluded from being presented to the jury. According to The Daily Beast and the New York Post, the court documents detailed one instance that involved Depp’s team trying to submit “nude pictures” of Heard and evidence of “Amber’s brief stint as an exotic dancer years before she met Mr. Depp” to, as her team said, “frivolously and maliciously suggest or imply that Ms. Heard was at one time an escort.” Heard’s lawyers said in their March filing that it was inappropriate to bring up the “irrelevant personal matters” during the trial, which was live-streamed and televised.

A new study reveals executives who self-promote regularly on Twitter are more likely to receive job offers with high salaries than those who don’t promote their brand online. Study co-author Andrew Whinston — a professor of information, risk, and operations management at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin — says that executives who promoted their expertise and qualifications on Twitter were 32 percent more likely to attract higher-paying job offers after interviews. Researchers warn, however, that there can be risks to this social strategy. Poorly-written tweets can backfire on executive candidates if hiring managers don’t like what they see. They could also face backlash from the public if they perceive them to be too self-promoting. On the other hand, when executives are spot-on with their self-promotion, it elevates their credibility and sets them apart from potential competitors. Researchers also found that tweeting has more tangible, longer-term effects in the form of better job opportunities and higher overall earnings.

Candidates Have To Write In Their Names
A deadline to qualify for an open seat on a South Carolina town’s council ended without any candidates filing to have their names placed on the ballot. A Sept. 13 special election has been set to replace outgoing Chapin Councilwoman Kay Hollis, who resigned from the five-person town council last month. No candidates filed with the Lexington County Election Commission for the open seat by the noon Friday deadline. Elections Director Lenice Shoemaker confirmed to The State that the election will proceed without any listed candidates on the ballot and a write-in option. The person who receives the most write-in votes will fill the council seat until the end of Hollis’ term in November 2023.

Florida Man Gets A DUI On A Motorized Scooter
A Florida Man was arrested on allegations of driving a motorized scooter while drunk and crashing into shelves Sunday at a Walmart in Melbourne, police said. The man was driving a Walmart scooter and had his open backpack sitting in the scooter basket, where an opened bottle of Smirnoff vodka could be seen. Police said the man was seen swaying in the scooter and running into shelves and he nearly stuck other customers. Police said the man had “glassy eyes” and smelled like alcohol. The scooter driver was unresponsive when he was asked to show his ID and had to be taken to a patrol vehicle on a stretcher, police said. The man refused a breath test when he was taken into custody, according to police.

Space X Junk Falls On Sheep Farm
After being startled by a bang at about 7am on Saturday, two farmers discovered what seemed to be space equipment scattered across their sheep paddocks. Sheep farmer Jock Wallace initially called Australia’s civil aviation authority for guidance, but they advised him to contact NASA. “I’m a farmer from Dalgety, what am I going to say to NASA?” he told ABC. He and his neighbor Mick Miners turned to Dr Brad Tucker, an astrophysicist at the Australian National University, for help. Dr Tucker told Sky News that he explained to the farmers why he believed the artefacts came from a SpaceX capsule which had splashed down on Earth back in May. “At 7am local time, the SpaceX Crew-1 Trunk, which is the unpressurised bottom part of the capsule, was catalogued and tracked to be re-entering over the southern parts of New South Wales in Australia,” explained Dr Tucker. Appearing not unlike a monolith from Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the space junk is almost three metres high and was found wedged upright into the ground.

7 Ways to Lower Your Car Payment
The Penny Hoarder
- Refinance
This is probably the most obvious option, but it makes sense if you’re looking to lower your car payment over a longer term.
While you’re at it, you might be able to get a lower interest rate as well. Interest rates have likely risen since you bought your car though. On the flip side, your credit score might have gone up too.
Checking on your refinancing options may be worthwhile. Keep in mind, though, that a longer term means more interest paid over the life of the auto loan.
- Renegotiate Your Car Loan
Your lender may let you defer a payment or two if you need to get through a short-term hardship. However, if you need some help in the long-term, you can talk to your lender about restructuring the auto loan.
They might allow you to extend the term or lower your interest rate, which makes more sense if you have good credit.
Remember: Lengthening the term means you’ll be paying more interest in the long run.
- Sell the Car
You might consider taking advantage of this hot vehicle market to sell your car and look for a cheaper option to get you around. Or maybe you could get by as a one-car household now that working remotely is more common.
By taking on a cheaper car, you can lower your car payment — or be payment-free — and use those savings for other priorities, like saving for a new car in the future.
- Trade in the Car
Dealers need inventory right now and are more likely to pay a premium for your used car. Take it in and let them make an offer, keeping in mind you might want something with a more affordable monthly car payment in return.
Before you go, make sure you know how much you owe — you want to get at least that much on the trade-in — and how much the car is worth. You can get a good trade-in estimate through Kelley Blue Book.
- Make Extra Payments
Throwing an extra monthly payment toward your car when you can helps you pay off the loan quicker and pay less in interest. But it also lowers your monthly payment in the long run and might even allow you to skip some payments entirely.
One way to do this might be taking an annual tax refund and making a lump sum payment toward the auto loan.
- Make a Larger Down Payment
If you already have a car payment, this obviously won’t help. But it’s something to consider for future purchases.
Just like with a mortgage, the more money you put down at the beginning, the lower your payments will be over the life of your car loan.
For example, if you put a $5,000 down payment on a $25,000 car with 7% sales tax and a 4.5% APR, you’ll end up with a $405 monthly car payment on a $20,000 loan.
With no down payment and those same terms, you’d have a $499 monthly payment.
- Rent Out Your Car
Yes, you can rent out your car. This makes sense especially if you live in a larger metropolitan area with out-of-town visitors. Maybe settle in for the weekend and let one of those tourists rent your vehicle — save some money by staying in and let your ride earn its keep for a couple of days. You could even offer your car as a rental when you travel instead of paying airport parking.
On the car-sharing site Turo, a 2020 Nissan Altima goes for $60 a day, while a 2016 BMW 4-Series goes for $95 a day. The site offers everything from basic Toyota sedan to an outdoorsy Subaru or Jeep — all the way to an extravagant Porsche or Lamborghini.
