Tom Brady posted an Instagram Story selfie in his underwear on Monday, four months after finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen. “Did I do this right?” he captioned the social media upload taken from his bed, tagging fellow NFL stars Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski. He explained that “a deal’s a deal,” as he previously promised to “recreate” photos of models posing in their undies for his eponymous apparel brand if he received 40,000 “likes” on a tweet. Streisand Needed Many Takes During Sex Scene
Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford’s memorable sex scene in their classic 1973 romantic drama “The Way We Were” was filmed over the course of two days. However, according to Robert Hofler — author of the new bombshell book “The Way They Were: How Epic Battles and Bruised Egos Brought a Classic Hollywood Love Story to the Screen” —there was no need for one measly scene to take 48 hours to shoot. Streisand allegedly prolonged filming, so she could do “take after take with Redford atop her,” Hofler told Fox News. The writer added that the Sydney Pollack-directed flick was already going over budget and over schedule, and “there’s no reason a scene like that should take two days.” Producer Ray Stark was unhappy with the scene taking so long to film, Hofler claimed. The scene featured Redford lying on a bed and then simply “moves on top, kisses her on the neck and falls asleep.” Hofler believed that she wanted to keep on shooting, because she “had a mad crush on Redford.” In the book, Hofler alleged that Streisand was “infatuated” and “mesmerized” with him. “It was very obvious to everyone that she had a crush on him,” he told Fox News. “But by the time Redford worked with Streisand, he was a happily married man with four kids.”

AMC To Charge More For Better Seats
AMC Theaters announced that the prices of a ticket will now be based on seat location, meaning seats in the front will be cheaper while more desirable seats in the middle will now cost more. The ticket pricing initiative, called Sightline at AMC, will roll out at all of its roughly 1,000 movie theaters by the end of the year. Three pricing tiers will soon be offered. For example, the highest-end “Preferred” tier are in the middle of the theaters and will be priced at a “slight premium” compared to its “Standard” tier, which the theater chains says will remain the most common choice and will be sold for the “traditional cost of a ticket.” The third tier is called “Value,” which are seats in the front row of theaters and will cost less than than its “Standard” tier. “Sightline at AMC more closely aligns AMC’s seat pricing approach to that of many other entertainment venues, offering experience-based pricing and another way for moviegoers to find value at the movies,” said Eliot Hamlisch, AMC’s chief marketing officer, in a press release. AMC said a seating map will show the adjusted prices and Sightline will only be used on showings after 4 pm.

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have played Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, Better Call Saul, and now, a Super Bowl commercial. The Vince Gilligan-directed ad is for PopCorners, which comes in six signature flavors. “Seven! You make seven!” Tuco (Raymond Cruz) yells at Walt and Jesse in the commercial. “We’re gonna eat a lot of snacks together.” “It was also very secretive, Cranston told Entertainment Weekly about filming the commercial. “NDAs were signed. We did our wardrobe calls at our own houses, so we didn’t have to be in public. Then we had one day in a studio, and it was very closed down, very private, very secret — and then out in the middle of the desert for the second day… I don’t think there were too many leaks in our enterprise there.” As for whether Cranston thinks this is the final time he and Paul will play their Breaking Bad characters, he said, “So we’ve stopped saying, ‘This is the last time we’re ever going to do this.’ Who knows? Pregnant Monkey Mystery Solved
A Japanese zoo said it has solved the mystery of a gibbon became pregnant while living in isolation — and a tiny hole in a board is to blame. Zookeepers at Kujukushima Zoo and Botanical Garden Mori Kirara in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, said they were surprised when a lar gibbon named Momo gave birth in February 2021, as the ape had been living in her own enclosure without any males present. Officials said Momo was protective of her offspring, so it was nearly two years before they were able to collect enough stool and excrement samples from the mother and baby to perform DNA tests. The father of the male baby was found to be Itou, a 34-year-old agile gibbon. Zookeepers said the two apes were never on display together, but they discovered that the partition between Momo’s exhibit and the back yard where Itou was kept while off-display had a perforated board with holes about 9 millimeters (.35 inches) in diameter. Officials said they now believe the apes managed to mate through one of the holes.

Landscaper Fight
A man living in Wekiwa Springs was arrested Thursday, accused of arming himself with a handgun and shooting it during a dispute with a landscaper working near his address that morning, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. Jeffrey Perlman and the landscaper were on opposite sides of a brick wall between Terra Oaks and Kapok courts when the dispute began, with the landscaper on the Kapok Court side, deputies said. Perlman allegedly drove his vehicle to the Kapok Court side, where he confronted the landscaper and stated he would call the police. To this, the landscaper told Perlman to go ahead because he would be done before officers arrived, according to an arrest report. At this point, Perlman ran to his vehicle and returned with a handgun, deputies said. The landscaper reported hearing “a pop and (feeling) sand hit (his) left leg.” Although the report in its current state does not mention injuries to either party, it contains redacted information in the very next sentence that will be included in this story if made public. Perlman allegedly stated the landscaper had threatened him with lawn clippers, though the reporting deputy noted here that Perlman disengaged from the dispute to retrieve a handgun from a vehicle about 6-8 feet away from him, returned to the scene, discharged the firearm and did not call law enforcement.

Name A Litter Box After Your Ex
An animal shelter in Hamilton, Ohio, is holding a unique fundraiser as a lead-up to Valentine’s Day. The Animal Friends Humane Society said Wednesday it will name a cat litter box after an ex romantic partner. The gesture will cost $5 per box, while the promotion will run until Feb. 12. The shelter will then reveal all the sponsored litter boxes, names included, in a Facebook post on Valentine’s Day. “Don’t spend this Valentine’s Day down in the dumps! Instead, cheer yourself up while making a difference for animals in need,” reads the promotion on society’s website. “For a $5 donation we will write your Ex’s name in a litter box and give it to the cats, to let them do what they do best!” The fundraiser is far from the only somewhat strange animal-related promotion tied to the love-themed holiday. Several zoos offer a promotion, allowing visitors to buy a cockroach, name it after their former flame and then have it fed to one of the institution’s resident roach-eating animals like a lizard.

7 Foods You Had No Idea You Can Make In The Microwave

- Eggs
“Cook This Book” author Molly Baz admitted that, like many chefs, she looked down on the microwave for a long time. But when she learned that it could be used to make eggs, she started looking at it in a new way. “I was visiting my parents and I really wanted a poached egg for breakfast. My mom told me that instead of boiling an entire pot of water for one egg, I should just use the microwave,” Baz said. As you can likely guess, she did ― and now she’s a microwave believer. To make your own poached egg, first microwave a half-cup of water in a microwave-safe measuring cup or mug. Next, crack the egg into the water. Cover the cup with plastic wrap and microwave it for 30 more seconds. Then lift the egg out of the microwave and use a slotted spoon to plate it.
And you can do more than just poach eggs in the microwave. Tara Ippolito, author of “Fast. Simple. Delicious.” and a contestant on Netflix’s “Easy Bake Battle,” said she uses the device to make scrambled eggs. “I just crack some eggs, add some cheese and veggies and pop it in the microwave for one minute. It’s so easy,” she said.
- French Toast
Eggs aren’t the only breakfast food you can make in the microwave. Ippolito said she also uses it to make French toast. To do so, she said to simply cut up the bread, put the pieces in a microwave-safe container, add your other French toast ingredients (including whisked eggs) and put it in the microwave for between two and five minutes, depending on your microwave. Not only does the French toast come together quicker than when it’s made on the stove, but there will be fewer dishes to clean up, too.
- Baked Potatoes
Baked potatoes are one of those foods that you have to plan for because they can take an hour to make in the oven. Vegan chef and cookbook author Ally Lazare uses the microwave for them, cutting the cooking time down to roughly 10 minutes. “My favorite hack is using the microwave in place of the stovetop things like potatoes or heavy root vegetables,” she said. “This is particularly helpful in the summer when it’s hot, and you don’t want to have multiple pots and pans boiling away on the stove, or if you’re already cooking multiple things and don’t have any free space on the stove.”
“You can easily ‘roast’ a sweet potato or russet potato by poking the potato a few times with a sharp knife to release steam and then putting them on a glass dish or bowl and microwaving for about 10 minutes,” said chef Amelia Levin. She also cooks spaghetti squash this way, microwaving it for about 15 minutes, depending on the size.
- Chips
You don’t need an air fryer to make chips that are healthier than what you’ll find in the grocery store. They’re yet another food that you can make using the microwave. “Microwave chips are easy and delicious. I like to use potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash and zucchini,” Lazare said. She added that the key to making the chips nice and crispy is to slice the veggies really thin and salt them before cooking to soak up moisture. “Lay them in a single layer on a sheet of paper towel and sprinkle with salt. Let them sit for 15 to 20 minutes, then pat them dry,” she suggested. Now, they’re ready for the microwave. Zap them for between three and six minutes, watching them carefully to make sure they don’t burn.
- Fried Shallots
Fried shallots are great to have on hand to add both crunch and flavor to everything from salads to roasted ― or microwaved ― veggies and to sprinkle on soup. “You can make them in the microwave by placing some sliced shallots or onions in a little oil, covering and zapping them for 30 to 45 seconds. They’ll crisp up just like you fried them,” Levin said. Smart, right?
- Bloomed Spices
What are bloomed spices, you ask? They’re the key to adding more flavor to all your recipes. Heating dried spices with a little bit of fat extracts the essence of the spice, making it more pungent and flavorful. You can do this to ground spices as well as those in seed form, like coriander or mustard seeds.
Levin suggested adding your spice to a small bowl with some olive oil and microwaving it for about 30 seconds. The end result will be an infused oil bursting with flavor and ready to be drizzled over veggies, meat, salads and grain bowls.
- Cookies, Brownies And Cake
Have you ever had a craving for something sweet but don’t want to make an entire cake or batch of brownies to satisfy it? That’s where mug cakes, mug brownies and even mug cookies come in. “Microwaves are fantastic for desserts, especially if you’re baking for one or two people,” Lazare said. Just add all the ingredients into a mug, stir them up and cook in the microwave for about two minutes. Google “mug cakes you can make in the microwave” for hundreds of recipes.
