Bill Cosby Banned From Famous Club

Bill Cosby isn’t welcome at this legendary Big Apple comedy club.  The owner of the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village — which has hosted stars including Jerry Seinfeld, Robin Williams and Chris Rock — won’t allow the disgraced comic to perform on the heels of his prison release.  Cosby plans to do a stand-up tour now that his sexual-assault conviction has been tossed and he was freed from prison last month.  But club owner Noam Dworman — who let Aziz Ansari and Louis C.K. perform in 2018 after their respective sexual-misconduct scandals — said he won’t book Cosby in the beloved, brick-lined basement venue because Cellar audiences wouldn’t support it.  Dworman explained that he is drawing the line on Cosby because the accusations against the former TV star were far worse than anything Aziz Ansari and Louis C.K. allegedly did.  “Comparing Bill Cosby to these other guys is absurd,” Dworman said, adding that the other two comics were not charged with a crime.
********As long as he’s not mixing the cocktails, what’s the problem???
*****This club is getting a lot of press!! Maybe we’ll ban Cosby, too!!!
*******Cosby’s going to miss the smell of stale beer and spoiled food!!!!

Former View Host May Return

Debbie Matenopoulos is not opposed to returning to “The View.”  Her reps are reportedly in talks with ABC for a potential co-hosting opportunity, an anonymous source from the network told The Daily Mail.   A spokesperson for Matenopoulos confirmed the rumor is true in a statement emailed to Fox News.  “Debbie will always have a fond place in her heart for The View, the show that launched her career as a 21-year-old straight out of NYU,” the statement reads. “Her rep has in fact been having conversations with senior executives at ABC News over the past few months about many things, including her participation in celebrating the 25th season of ‘The View,’ and she appreciates all the interest in her returning.”  While nothing is set in stone at this point in time, Matenopoulos’ spokesperson says she is currently developing two food shows and one lifestyle show of her own.  “She’d never say never to returning to her first television home,” her spokesperson noted.  News of Matenopoulos’ potential reappearance on the daytime talk show comes to light days after Meghan McCain announced she’d be stepping down from her co-hosting role on “The View.”
*********Right now, she’s doing vocal exercises to prepare for the shouting matches!!!!

James Gandolfini’s Son Splitting Image

Michael Gandolfini is taking on his father’s iconic role of Tony Soprano in an upcoming prequel.  He will play a younger version of the HBO crime boss in “The Many Saints of Newark.”  James passed away from a heart attack six years after the crime-drama’s conclusion at the age 51.  “I know it took a lot of courage for him to take this role,” Michael’s stepmother Deborah Lin told The New York Post. “It was very emotional. But the whole family is just so proud of him. His father would be very proud.”   Prior to taking over the mantle of Tony Soprano, Michael had seven other acting credits going as far back to 2015, including “Ocean’s Eight,” “The Deuce” and “Cherry.”  According to a profile from Vanity Fair, Michael originally hadn’t planned on auditioning for the role of Tony Soprano when he first heard about it but went through with it at the insistence of his manager.

Ripping The Tabloids (Throughout the week, we’ll give you the stories from that weeks tabs!)
**Please Credit Publication!

Lies, Lies & More Lies!-(National Enquirer)

No wonder Queen Elizabeth is fed up with Harry and Meghan’s lies!  Here are just some of their whoppers!

  1. The royals silenced Meghan.  Really?  While living in England, she guest-edited British Vogue magazine, and spoke at many of 73 public appearances.
  2. Meghan’s passport was confiscated by the palace. She flew to Rome, Amsterdam, the French Riviera and New York during her 20-month royal tenure.  Only the queen travels without a passport.
  3. Son Archie, 2, was denied the title “prince” and 24/7 security because he’s biracial.   Under royal rules, he and his newborn sister, Lilibet, won’t be entitled until their grandfather, Prince Charles, takes the throne.
  4. Meghan knew zilch about the royal family before marrying Harry. Oops!  She was photographed at Buckingham Palace as a teen, a childhood friend revealed her Princess Diana obsession, and she wrote about William and Kate’s wedding on her former blog!
  5. The privacy-seeking Sussexes announced their bombshell March CBS special would be their final word. Hardly!  Harry let rip with new royal attacks in interviews in May.

Happy 10th Anniversary!-(Us Weekly)

Rachel Weisz, 51, and Daniel Craig, 53, celebrated a decade of marriage on June 22 in their favorite way: a low-key night at home.  “They enjoy cooking, trying new recipes and reading.  A quiet night in is their perfect date night,” a source says.

Lindsay’s Big Comeback!-(Star)

Happy holidays!  After all but giving up acting, Lindsay Lohan has signed on to star in a Netflix rom-com.  And the Christmas flick promises to offer all the best of the season.  The 34-year-old plays a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress,” who suffers from amnesia after a ski accident (of course!) and is left in the care of a handsome bule-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter.  Wonder what happens under the mistletoe?  Once an insurance risk on sets because of her erratic behavior, Lindsay has been living abroad in Europe and Dubai for years.  Recently, she was a judge on Australia’s Masked Singer, but her once-promising career was stalled.  “She never closed the door on a comeback,” an insider says.  “It definitely burns her that there’s a perception she squandered her talent, and this will show people she has plenty of offer.”

Next to Wed!-(Life & Style)

Aaron & Shailene

Big Little Nuptials!  While shooting the hit HBO series Big Little Lies, Shailene Woodley fell in love with Northern California’s Big Sur.  And now that the 29-year-old’s found true love with NFL star Aaron Rodgers, 37, she’s planning to marry him in the picturesque spot.  “Shailene adores the idea of exchanging handwritten vows in the woods, wearing flowers in her hair and one of her friends playing music on the guitar as guests arrive,” a source says of the actress’ upcoming summer ceremony, which will take place in front of just 50 guests, including her former BLL castmates Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern and Alexander Skarsgard.  “She and Aaron focused on venues by the ocean for the afterparty-Post Ranch Inn is said to have been at the top of her list.”

One Last Thing:  Toni Collette-(People)

The Aussie actress, 48, stars in the new racing movie Dream Horse, now on demand.

Last time I sang out loud-

I picked my daughter [Sage. 13] up from school and we often listen to Folklore by Taylor Swift.  It’s the first album that we both love and know all the lyrics to.  We just belt it out morning and night.

Last time I bonded with a horse-

The last was when the kids had a lesson here in Sydney, outside of the city.  I communed with a couple of the horses; they’ve got such soft snouts.  I’ve had really special experiences with them throughout my entire life.

Last moment of bliss-

Just this morning I woke up particularly early, at 3 a.m.  Instead of getting frustrated, I listened to a guided meditation and I got to a point of complete relaxation, where you feel kind of weightless.  The only way you can describe it is blissful.

Kim’s Living Hell!-(In Touch)

A series of unfortunate events threaten to drive Kim Kardashian over the edge. She failed-again.  On June 10 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, aspiring lawyer Kim, revealed she didn’t pass the “baby bar” law exam for the second time.  “F—k!” shrieked Kim, who’s going to law school online.  Not only is Kim, 40, seeing her dream of following in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps and becoming a lawyer vanish before her eyes, she’s also going through a nasty divorce with Kanye West, is being sued by seven former members of her domestic staff (who are accusing her of wage theft, retaliation and more), had to get a restraining order against an alleged stalker, and her hot new romance with CNN’s Van Hones has fizzled already, sources say.  “Kim may be a billionaire,” an insider, “but money doesn’t by happiness.  Right now her life is a living hell.”

STUPID NEWS

Airline Record

A 6-year-old girl in India unofficially broke a Guinness World Record by identifying 93 airlines by the designs on the tails of their planes in one minute.  Aarna Gupta of Panchkula, Haryana, identified the airlines July 1, earning a spot in the International Book of Records and unofficially breaking a Guinness World Record.  Neha Gupta, the girl’s mother, said she saw her daughter’s unusually powerful memory at a young age.  “We noticed that her memory is sharp and she is skilled so we thought of encouraging her more so she could achieve something bigger,” Neha Gupta told ANI News.  Evidence from the girl’s record attempt still must be approved by Guinness officials. The record-keeping organization currently lists the record at 39, which was set by 12-year-old Siddhant Gumber in November 2020.

Monitor Lizard Rescued From Toilet

A 4-foot monitor lizard with its head stuck in a toilet was rescued from a home in India after the reptile spent five days hiding out in the bathroom.  A Snake Helpline team responded to the home in the Kapileswar Vihar area of Bhubaneswar after a family reported a 4-foot Bengal monitor lizard had been hiding in their bathroom for about five days.  The family said they had first spotted the lizard near the toilet Sunday, and they opened a window in the hopes it would climb out, but the lizard was apparently unable to climb the tiled wall to reach the opening.  Snake Helpline General Secretary Subhendu Mallik said a volunteer rescuer arrived to find the lizard’s head was stuck inside the toilet pan hole.

Guy Installs Satellite Dish On Car

The California Highway Patrol said an officer recently pulled a vehicle over when he noticed an unusual visual obstruction on the hood — a satellite dish. The CHP’s Antelope Valley station said in an Instagram post that Officer T. Caton stopped a Toyota Prius on an area highway after taking note of the large satellite dish mounted right in front of the windshield.  The post said the officer asked the driver if the satellite dish impeded their view, and the person responded: “Only when I make right turns.”  The CHP said the dish runs afoul of the California Vehicle Code, which makes it illegal to mount anything on the hood of a vehicle that could obstruct the driver’s view.  “It’s about safety folks,” the post said.  See the pic HERE.

STUFF THAT’S COOL AND VIRAL

A LIST FOR TUESDAY

6 Times We’ve Had Money Mansplained to Us — And Why It’s Absolute Nonsense

The Penny Hoarder

  1. ‘Cash is King, So Don’t Pay Your Credit Card in Full.’

Sounds like this guy is just attempting to regurgitate (incorrectly) what his leader Dave Ramsey drilled into his brain. Yes, having cash on hand is great in case of an emergency (that’s why you have an emergency fund), but you know what’s a really fast way to drain it all?

Paying an insane amount of interest on your credit card balances.

Some credit card companies these days are charging a whopping 36% APR, which could wipe out all that cash this Ramseyite worships.

One way to actually preserve your cash long-term is to get rid of your debt as fast and as cheaply as possible. (If Mr. Know-It-All had actually paid attention to his idol, he’d know this). Then you can stop wasting your money on interest. A website called AmOne wants to help.

If you owe your credit card companies $50,000 or less, AmOne will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.

The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmOne rates start at 3.49% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster. Plus: No credit card payment this month.

AmOne keeps your information confidential and secure, which is probably why after 20 years in business, it still has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

It takes two minutes to see if you qualify for up to $50,000 online. You do need to give AmOne a real phone number in order to qualify, but don’t worry — they won’t spam you with phone calls.

  1. ‘Don’t Try to Negotiate — If You Really Wanted It, You Would Pay the Full Price.’

Even millionaires and billionaires don’t pay full price if they don’t have to — what kind of bro thinks he looks cool by showing off his sticker-price items?

Not one we’d want to take financial advice from, that’s for sure. In fact, we would prefer to have someone tell us when we’re about to overpay for something, then show us where we could get it cheaper.

That’s exactly what this free service does.

Just add it to your browser for free, and before you check out, it’ll check other websites, including Walmart, eBay and others to see if your item is available for cheaper. Plus, you can get coupon codes, set up price-drop alerts and even see the item’s price history.

Let’s say you’re shopping for a new TV, and you assume you’ve found the best price. Here’s when you’ll get a pop up letting you know if that exact TV is available elsewhere for cheaper. If there are any available coupon codes, they’ll also automatically be applied to your order.

In the last year, this has saved people $160 million.

You can get started in just a few clicks to see if you’re overpaying online.

Capital One Shopping compensates us when you get the extension using the links provided.

  1. ‘Let the Men Handle the Negotiating, Sweetie. We Get Better Deals.’

Oh, come on. Not only is this wrong — it’s down right rude. Not to mention it totally contradicts the last guy’s advice. Sometimes all it takes is knowledge, confidence and holding your ground to get a killer deal.

But other times, you only need to know the best places to go. Like when you want to get the sweetest deal on car insurance, use a website called Insure.com.

Insure.com makes it super easy to compare car insurance prices. All you have to do is enter your ZIP code and your age, and it’ll show you your options.

Using Insure.com, people have saved an average of $489 a year. That’s a darn good deal, sweetie.

Yup. That could be nearly $500 back in your pocket just for taking a few minutes to look at your options.

  1. ‘Open Up a New Credit Card, and Don’t Pay it Off Entirely to Bring Your Credit Score up.’

Why do all these mansplainers think an unpaid credit card balance is going to help them reach their goals? Ugh. Holding too much balance on your credit card will likely have the opposite effect.

Instead, we know to trust the experts when it comes to keeping tabs on our credit score. After all, it’ll play an essential role in any big purchase you want to make — whether that’s a home, a car or even opening a business.

So if you’re looking to get your credit score back on track — or even if it is on track and you want to bump it up — try using a free website called Credit Sesame.

Within two minutes, you’ll get access to your credit score, any debt-carrying accounts and a handful of personalized tips to improve your score. You’ll even be able to spot any errors holding you back (one in five reports have one).

James Cooper, of Atlanta, used Credit Sesame to raise his credit score nearly 300 points in six months.* “They showed me the ins and outs — how to dot the I’s and cross the T’s,” he said.

Want to check for yourself? It’s free and only takes about 90 seconds to sign up.

  1. ‘Invest Your Income; Don’t Put it Into a 401(k). It’ll All Equal Out in the End.’

Investing on your own is great, don’t get us wrong. But does this dude not understand how incredible an employer’s 401(k) match can be? If you took full advantage of it, that could be hundreds of thousands dollars extra in your retirement account.

Setting aside money from your paycheck to put into your 401(k) is literally one of the smartest things you can do for your future. And if your employer matches each contribution, it’s free money!

But if you can’t take advantage of this employer benefit because you need all of your paycheck every month, a company called Lendtable will give you the cash.

We know it sounds too good to be true. But if your employer has a 401(k) match program, this is money they already have earmarked for you. By using Lendtable, you’ll be able to unlock that free cash.

Let’s say you make $50k a year and your employer matches your 401(k) contribution up to 4%. If you put $0 in your retirement account this year, you get $0 from your boss. If Lendtable lends you the 4% of your salary your employer is willing to match, you get $2,000 from your boss, minus Lendtable’s fee. (This comes from the extra money you’ve earned, so there’s no sacrifice on your part.)

It takes three minutes to answer a few questions about your eligibility and sign up for an account.

Once you’ve gotten your full match amount from your employer, LendTable will take the money they lent you back, plus a small share of your profit. If there’s a penalty from your retirement account provider for taking money out, Lendtable will cover that, too.

The risk for you is basically nonexistent, so listening to that mansplainer and not taking advantage of your employer match with Lendtable’s offer would make Future Millionaire You bow your head in shame. Get started here.

  1. ‘You Only Need to Invest in Tesla.’

Tesla has shown to be a profitable stock to own, there’s no doubting that. And if you listened to this mansplainer and only invested in Tesla in 2010 (with a starting price of $3.84), you would have made a massive profit by now.

But back here in 2021, not everyone can afford a $650+ stock — and not everyone should put all their money into it, anyway. Diversifying your investments, even small ones, is a smart way to grow your wealth in the stock market. So don’t put all your electric eggs into one Model 3 basket.

If you feel like you don’t have enough money to start investing, though, you’re not alone. But guess what? You really don’t need that much — and you can even get free stocks (worth $2.50 to $200!) if you know where to look.

Whether you’ve got $5, $100 or $800 to spare, you can start investing with Robinhood.

Yeah, you’ve probably heard of Robinhood. Both investing beginners and pros love it because it doesn’t charge commission fees, and you can buy and sell stocks for free — no limits. Plus, it’s super easy to use.

What’s best? When you download the app and fund your account (it takes no more than a few minutes), Robinhood drops a share of free stock into your account. It’s random, though, so that stock could be worth anywhere from $2.50 to $200 — a nice boost to help you build your investments.
