The movie is Craig’s fifth and final film as Bond.  Fukunaga said in an interview with Total Film this month that he and Barbara Broccoli, who has produced every bond film since GoldenEye (1995), discussed Craig’s potential replacement before the actor committed to No Time to Die.  No Time to Die opens in theaters Oct. 8. The film’s release has been postponed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  See the trailer HERE.

Lilibet Added To The Official Line Of Succession

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s newborn daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, has officially been added to the royal line of succession more than seven weeks after her birth.   The official royal website was updated Monday after the family caught backlash over the weekend once people noticed that Lilibet had not been added to the succession line in a timely manner following her birth in June of 2021.  Her inclusion on the list bumps the embattled Prince Andrew down to number nine on the royal line of succession and places her just after her older brother, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, who the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed in 2019.  The delay in adding Meghan and Harry’s second child to the official line of succession was first spotted by The Daily Mail. In addition to flagging the omission, the outlet reported for comparison that Archie was added to the list two weeks after his birth.  When Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child, Louis, was born, his name was added to the list after 12 days. When royals Zara and Mike Tindall’s son Lucas was born in March of this year, the baby’s name was added right away, according to the outlet.  The delay comes after Meghan and Harry alleged in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March that they were mistreated by the other royals before they made the decision to step back from their duties within the family and move to California to live without the family’s resources. Markle, who is biracial, claimed that prior to Archie’s birth, there were concerns among royal family members about how dark her child’s skin would be.
*********We know what happened: the Royal webmaster was on vacation!!!
*******Maybe… the Queen was thinking of stripping them of their titles?? In which case, they’d fall out of the line of succession, along with their kids??
********We checked the list… our name is number 6,853,230,000!!! Meghan Markle’s name is at the very end of the list, because she’s the last person on earth who will ever be Queen!!

Justin Timberlake Trolled By Lance Bass

On Sunday, singer Lance Bass posted a video to Instagram that he had shared over the weekend on TikTok. In the footage, he had been digitally inserted into a popular video on the platform that shows a number of people dancing in a celebratory manner.  Lance suddenly began dancing joyfully with the others, and he included a message that read, “When JT finally responds to my text…”  Although some fans posted comments reflecting they were worried about possible tension between the two singers, Justin quickly shared his own response to clear the air and make sure Lance knew there was no bad blood.  As it turns out, he was simply offering a reminder about the difficulties of balancing parenting responsibilities with leisure, given Lance’s confirmation last month that he and husband Michael Turchin are expecting twins with a surrogate.  “Once those babies show up… your unavailability will all make sense, bro,” Justin wrote, adding three laughing-with-tears emojis. Lance shared the comment to his Instagram Story and responded with, “Touché!”  Justin certainly knows a thing or two about fatherhood, given that he and wife Jessica Biel share 6-year-old Silas and 12-month-old Phineas.

Tom Hanks Selling His Toyota

Tom Hanks has been driving a classic Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser hardtop off-road and is putting it up for auction.  The 1980 SUV being offered at the upcoming Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction on Aug 13 retains the model’s iconic style, but was heavily customized to Hanks’ preference.  Tom owns property in Ketchum, Id., where the mint green vehicle is currently registered.  The two-door features a 2000 model year General Motors 4.3-liter V6 and five-speed manual transmission, power steering and brakes, plus a set of shocks and a steering damper from Old Man Emu.  The interior has also been upgraded with a set of power Porsche front seats replacing the original buckets, which are included with the vehicle.  Just in case anyone questions the Toyota’s provenance, Hanks has put his signature on the dashboard, just below a plaque with instructions for operating the 4×4 system.  Bonhams estimates that the vehicle will sell for a price between $75,000 to $125,000, while the Hagerty Price Guide puts a top value on a perfectly preserved example without a Hollywood connection at $80,600.
********Does it come with a “box of chocolates???”

Jeff Bezos Is NOT An Astronaut!

The Federal Aviation Administration has tightened the official definition of an astronaut, meaning Jeff Bezos and Sir Richard Branson have been stripped of the title, according to the U.S. government.  Astronauts have to be part of a crew that contributes to public safety or human spaceflight safety, according to the FAA. Both Bezos and Branson failed to reach that mark during their recent flights.  The updates from the FAA were announced on the same day Bezos completed his flight aboard his Blue Origin rocket last week.  The official rules were changed for the first time in 17 years.
********Hang on…. they PAID FOR THE SPACECRAFT!! Isn’t THAT a contribution????

Food Disorders:  Roseanne Barr-(National Enquirer)

“I had my entire digestive system removed, so I should look thinner,” 68-year-old Roseanne Barr said of the 1998 Fobi Pouch procedure, which saw her shed 150 pounds-which was nearly half her weight!  “Procedures like this alter the anatomy of the stomach,” Dr. Fischer said.  “Why not just put duct tape over your mouth?  This is not treating the addiction.  Who is she fooling?”  But the scandal-scarred sitcom star has claimed she now keeps her figure under control naturally-by “moving more and eating les.”

Hollywood Flashback:  Great Guns!-(Globe)

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are the Men in Black who patrol the extraterrestrials that walk among us!  The rollicking 1997 sci-fi flick originally was supposed to be set underground, but director Barry Sonnenfeld changed it to New York City-figuring jaded Gothamites were used to seeing alien behavior!  He used real locations that already looked out of this world-filming the entrance to agent headquarters outside a giant ventilation fan for the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel!

Hugh Jackson & Deborra-Lee Furness:  Lasting Love!-(Us Weekly)

It’s all about chemistry!  When Jackman met Furness on an Australian TV series in 1995 there was an undeniable connection, despite a 13-year age difference.  Jackman has said he knew within two weeks that they’d be together forever.  Flash-forward more than two decades and the pair are still going strong.  In fact, on their 25th wedding anniversary this past April, Jackman revealed their “love has only grown deeper.”

Not Playing Nice!-(Star)

Nina Dobrev & Paul Wesley-The Vampire Diaries

Well, that sucks!  “I respected Paul Wesley,” the actress once confessed of her onscreen love interest.  “I didn’t like Paul Wesley.”  Four years after the horror drama left the air, however, the bad blood is gone.  “We hang out a lot.  We’re really good friends and I love his wife,” she said.  “It’s so funny how time changes everything, because I never thought that he would be one of my best friends.”

Denise:  At War With Her Landlords-(Life & Style)

A horror of a Housewife!  Denise Richards is being dragged to court by her former landlords after she allegedly trashed their Calabasas, Calif., rental.  The Bravo alum, 50, and her husband, Aaron Phypers, 48, leased the property in 2018, a few months before they got married.  According to the owners, animal lover Denise was only supposed to bring her two potbellied pigs and three dogs to live with her, but she ended up housing “well over a half dozen dogs and cats” and incurred more than $100,000 in damages during her seven-month stay.  “The conduct was despicable in that it was so vile….and loathsome, it would be looked down upon and despised by ordinary decent people,” the lawsuit states.

One Last Thing:  David Harbour-(People)

The actor, 46, stars as a Russian superhero in Marvel’s new movie Black Widow.

Last moment of gratitude-

Last night.  My wife [singer Lily Allen] and I were just talking, and I was so grateful I’m not alone anymore.  I have someone I can tell everything to and who can tell me everything.

Last injury-

I partially tore my hamstring on the set of Black Widow.  I wish it was a cool story about hanging off a building, but I was literally running, heard a pop and collapsed.  Very unromantic.

Last time I was out of my comfort zone-

Hosting SNL was the most terrified I’ve felt in decades.  Somebody told me to remember how much you love the show, so I poured myself into how joyous it was.

Way Overdue Book!

A library in England said a book was recently returned in the mail after 63 years with a note saying, “better late than never.”  Newcastle Libraries shared a photo on Facebook showing the copy of Darrell Huff’s How to Lie with Statistics that arrived in the mail after being checked out from the Central Library 63 years earlier.  Library officials said the book was accompanied with an anonymous note reading: “Better late than never! Apologies for the late return!”  Library Manager David Hepworth said the person who returned the overdue book did not identify themselves.  “They may have been worried about us sending them a bill,” he told the BBC.  Officials said the book would have accumulated $4,722.52 in fines at the current rate, if fees weren’t capped at about $20.  Hepworth said the person would have had to dodge other collection efforts in the decade after it was checked out.  “In those days, even up to the 70s, there was a library officer who would visit people’s houses to get books back,” Hepworth said. “Clearly we don’t do that anymore.”

Florida Man Washes Ashore

A Florida man washed ashore inside a bubble-like vessel on Saturday morning after an apparent attempt to walk on water.  Deputies responded to calls from concerned citizens who spotted a strange vessel on the beach in the Hammock area, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said. The vessel’s sole occupant was discovered safe inside without any injuries.  He told authorities that he had set off for New York from the St. Augustine area before encountering “complications” that brought him back to shore, the sheriff’s office said.  The seafarer, identified as Reza Baluchi of Central Florida, told FOX35 Orlando he was attempting to run in his floating “bubble” vessel from Florida to Bermuda, or travel north up the coast, to raise money for charity.  “My goal is to not only raise money for homeless people, raise money for the Coast Guard, raise money for the police department, raise money for the fire department,” Baluchi told the station. “They are in public service, they do it for safety and they help other people.”

Florida Man Shoots Himself Showing Off Gun

A man apparently shot himself by accident while showing Florida bar customers his gun Thursday night.  The man can be seen on surveillance video showing his gun to customers at O’Riley’s Uptown Tavern in Pensacola before making a quick motion as if putting it into a pretend holster below his shoulder. When he did, the gun discharged and a bullet hit the man’s torso, according to the Pensacola News Journal.  The bar manager showed the newspaper video of the incident.  “I don’t know if he was pretending to be a badass or something,” manager Warren Sonnen told the newspaper. “But from what I can tell, it was completely by accident.”  The man immediately left the bar and checked himself into a hospital. Police contacted him and were determining whether to file charges.

Man Caught In A Pickle!

A Florida man was arrested after Deputies found him ‘using’ a pickle outside of a private residence, with nothing on below the waist.  According to investigators, Deputies were dispatched on a suspicious person call when the responding deputy spotted 47-year-old Eric Detiege laying flat on his back, with no pants, or undies, and on a private property in Oldsmar.  In the affidavit, the deputy said that Detiege, “had his penis in one hand and a large uneaten pickle in the other.  Elaborating a bit further, the deputy reported that Detiege was penetrating his rectum with the pickle, while he masturbated.  Detiege pleaded no contest to the exposure charge and was sentenced to the time served in Pinellas County Jail, 92 days, and was ordered to pay fines, fees, and court costs of $550.00.  See his mugshot HERE.
*********He said, “It was worth it!!!”

How to Budget in 4 Easy Steps

Gain control of your personal finances by learning how to budget in a way that makes the most sense for your lifestyle. We’ve laid out exactly what you need to do to create your own model budget in four pretty simple steps.

Step 1: Know Your Net Income and Average Expenses

Before you can make your budget work effectively, you need to know your numbers. We typically like to focus on a monthly budget, since most bills are due once a month.

Get started by logging into your checking account online and grabbing your last couple months’ worth of bank statements. While you’re at it, grab your credit card statements, too.

PRO TIP

Exporting your statements to a spreadsheet or using highlighters on printed statements can help you see patterns in your income, spending and savings habits.

How to Figure Your Monthly Income

First, write down your monthly income.

This should be your take-home pay for the month — your net income. That’s the money you earn (your gross income) minus deductions for taxes, Medicare, Social Security, health insurance contributions and allocations to retirement accounts like your 401(k).

This part is easy if you have a full-time, salaried job. If you are paid by commission, work hourly or have irregular income (like freelancing), use an average of the last six months to get a rough idea. Self-employed budgeters can benefit by taking a step back each quarter to examine their income.

“When you’re self-employed or have significant freelance income, you’re typically required to make quarterly estimated tax payments,”said Robin Hartill, a Certified Financial Planner and senior editor and writer for The Penny Hoarder. “Having to check in four times a year can be great for your budget.”

Hartill said you can also make more frequent estimated tax payments if that helps you budget your self-employment income better.

“Making payments weekly or biweekly instead of four times a year can make budgeting for taxes a lot more manageable,” she noted.

PRO TIP

Here are some budgeting tips to manage your money when you don’t make the same amount from month to month.

But don’t just stop there when calculating your monthly income. Add any extra money that comes in from your side hustles, child support payments, recurring bonuses or stipends, financial aid payments — include it all.

How to Figure Your Monthly Expenses

Your next step is the painful part: It’s time to log your monthly expenses to see how much you spend.

Start with your regular fixed expenses, which may include:

  • rent or mortgage payment
  • utilities
  • car payment
  • car insurance
  • life insurance premiums
  • credit card payments
  • student loans
  • other debt repayment
  • cell phone bill
  • internet
  • cable TV
  • other monthly subscriptions, like Netflix or Spotify.

Don’t forget to include non-monthly but recurring expenses, such as:

  • vehicle registration fees
  • credit card fees
  • HOA fees
  • professional association dues
  • annual subscription renewals

To incorporate these non-monthly but regular expenses into your monthly budget, add up the total cost for a year, then divide that number by 12 to find out how much they cost each month.

You can save up for these annual expenses by setting up sinking funds so that you’re prepared to pay the full cost when the bill comes due. You may even want to open a separate bank account for those expenses so you’re not tempted to spend the money.

From here, start adding up your variable expenses. Analyze your spending habits. How much are you spending on necessities that aren’t fixed expenses, such as groceries and clothing? What about the amount of money you drop on nonessential expenses like eating out and drinks with friends?

To get a full picture, organize your spending into budget categories. For example, movies, concerts and museum visits can all go under entertainment. Your gym membership, yoga membership and the drop-in rate on a CrossFit class can all go under fitness.

Look at a few months of statements to get an average for this part, too. That will give you a more accurate picture of your finances.

Step 2: Set Your Financial Goals

If you’re going to succeed at this budgeting game, you need to have an idea of what you’re hoping to accomplish. When you create a budget, it ought to align with your goals.

It can be a simple short-term savings goal like building a modest emergency fund or funding a vacation with your college besties. Or it can be a long-term one, like learning to budget so you can pay off your mortgage early or sending your kid to college without student loans. And don’t forget about funding your retirement — no matter how far you are from that milestone.

PRO TIP

If you see an area where your spending is out of line with your goals, fix it by outlining a new budget that directs more of your income to your top priorities.

Set a goal, and make it a motivating one — your financial plan could be the only thing that stops you from using your credit cards to indulge in mindless retail therapy.

Next, get your priorities in order — literally. Write them down in order from most to least important to get an idea of where you want your money to go.

You might not get your priorities right the first time, and that’s okay. It’s challenging to choose one option over another, and if the first list doesn’t work well, you can always rework it. Do some adjusting to strike a balance between “fun” and “responsible” spending.

You can take things a step further by mixing financial goals with personal ones. For example, vowing to cook more at home will help you spend less on restaurant meals and stick to healthier food choices.

Step 3: Find Your Favorite Budgeting Method

The Penny Hoarder surveyed 2,000 U.S. adults and found about 40% of budgeters use a spreadsheet budget, 17% use a zero-based budget, 12% follow the cash envelope method and 7% use a 50/30/20 budget.

Once you have a complete picture of your finances, it’s time to pick the budgeting plan that works best for you. There are many different budgeting methods to choose from.

Spreadsheet Budget

Log your income and track your spending using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or a Google Sheets spreadsheet. Create bar graphs, line graphs and pie charts for data visualization.

Zero-Based Budgeting

A zero-based budget is a budget plan where you allocate where every dollar of your income is going each month. When you take your income and subtract all your planned spending, savings allocations and debt payments, you should end up with zero.

Cash Envelope System

Followers of the cash envelope system fill envelopes with money to coincide with their spending limits for all of their variable expenses, like groceries or entertainment. Once the envelopes are empty, you have to pause your spending until the end of the month or whenever it’s time to refill your envelopes.

50/30/20 Method

With the 50/30/20 budget plan, you spend 50% of your income on essential expenses, 30% on fun and 20% on financial goals like saving, investing or paying off debt. You don’t have to drill down on exactly how much to spend on transportation or take out — as long as you stay within the appropriate percentages.

Bare-Bones Budget

A bare-bones budget takes into account only your most essential needs. It’s fitting for those with low income or people who are trying to eliminate the fat from their budget so they can stack up cash for an emergency fund, other savings or paying down debt.

Bullet Journal Budget

Use a bullet journal budget to creatively track where your money’s going. A journal gives you the ability to customize your budget how you see fit and make it attractive so that you actually don’t mind sitting down to manage your money.

Step 4: Find the Best Budgeting Tools for You

You’re not alone in this quest to budget your money. There are tools and actions that can help.

Automate Your Budget

Automating the budgeting process helps you focus on your priorities by sending the money where it needs to go before you have the chance to blow it on an impulse.

On the income side, that can mean setting up the automatic deposit for your paycheck to be divided between your checking and savings account.

In the expenses column, you can set up autopay for monthly expenses like your car payments, student loans or credit card bills, helping you avoid those dreaded late fees. And if your bill due dates don’t jibe with your cash-flow situation, you can call a lender or company and ask them to adjust the date.

To grow your emergency fund, you can have a portion of your direct deposit go into a savings account each time you get paid.
