Daddy Yankee is retiring from music. The 45-year-old Puerto Rican singer and rapper shared plans Sunday to retire from music after a final album, Legendaddy, and a world tour. “This race, which has been a marathon, finally sees the finish line. Now, I am going to enjoy what all of you have given me,” Daddy Yankee said in a video on YouTube. Legendaddy will mark Daddy Yankee’s first album in nearly 10 years. The album is slated for release Thursday. “I will say goodbye celebrating these 32 years of experience with this new collector’s item, the album Legendaddy. I’m going to give you all the styles that have defined me, in one single album,” Daddy Yankee said in a statement. Daddy Yankee, known as the “King of Reggaetón,” is known for the singles “Gasolina,” “Rompe,” “Limbo,” “Shaky Shaky,” “Dura,” “Despacito” and “Con Calma.” He has sold more than 30 million records in his career.

Syndicated daytime talk show Maury is ending its 31-year run in September. Deadline, People and The Hollywood Reporter reported the news Saturday. Hosted by Maury Povich, the show specialized in real romantic dramas, particularly ones centering on paternity questions. Povich is expected to retire after the show wraps and reruns will continue airing in syndication. Povich previously hosted the 1980s entertainment newsmagazine, A Current Affair, and played himself on How I Met Your Mother and Madea’s Big Happy Family. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mila Kunis and her husband Ashton Kutcher for raising millions to support refugees amid Russia’s invasion. On Sunday, he took to Twitter and noted the couple was “among the first to respond to our grief.” “They have already raised $35 million & are sending it to @flexport & @Airbnb to help refugees,” Zelenskyy tweeted. “Grateful for their support. Tom Hanks made a bride’s special day even more memorable when he photobombed her pictures before her wedding. Grace Gwaltney was having her picture taken with her bridesmaids in downtown Pittsburgh when the Oscar-winning actor asked if he could get a photo with her. Photos shared with Newsweek by photographer Rachel Rowland show Hanks’ wife Rita Wilson also jumped in to join the wedding party. Recalling the moment Hanks approached them, Rowland told Newsweek: “When it first happened we were all confused and it didn’t click for a second. Most of us stared quietly for a second. Alligator Chases Toy Boat
A Florida woman captured video of a playful alligator chasing a remote-controlled toy boat across the surface of a retention pond. The filmer, a producer for WJAX-TV, captured footage when the gator’s attention was grabbed by a neighbor’s remote-controlled boat in the Jacksonville retention pond. The video shows the gator chasing the boat as it zooms across the surface of the water. It was unclear whether the alligator had simply confused the boat for a potential food source, but University of Tennessee at Knoxville researchers said in a 2015 study that playful behavior had been identified in alligators and other crocodiles.

Famous Cat Flees Ukraine
Stepan, an internet-famous tabby cat who has more than a million followers on Instagram and Tik Tok, has escaped war-torn Ukraine. The cat’s social media pages went silent on March 3, alarming his followers. Stepan’s owner, known only as Anna, gave an update on Instagram this week on how they made it to safety following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. “We spent two nights in the basement and without electricity for a week. We had to go to the nearby basement to charge the phone. Then we managed to leave the city. Kharkiv volunteers helped by taking us to the railway station. We got on the train Kharkiv – Lviv (in 20 hours, we got to Lviv). Then we followed to the border with Poland,” the post said alongside photos of Stepan’s journey. Anna, her family and Stepan were able to escape with the help of The World Influencers and Bloggers Association. The organization, founded in 2019, unites influencers from all over the world. The organization, who voted Stephan as one of the world’s top pet influencers, was able help the family escape, and rented an apartment in France for the famous tabby and his owners to stay in.

Sheep Found With 88 Pounds Of Fleece
A sheep found wandering on an Australian mountain was relieved of a great weight when his first shearing in at least six years removed 88 pounds of fleece. Pam Ahern, owner of Victoria animal sanctuary Edgar’s Mission, said she recently received a call about a sheep found by a hiker on nearby Mount Alexander. The sheep, dubbed Alex in honor of where he was found, had apparently escaped from a farm when he was only a baby and hadn’t been sheared in at least six years, and may have escaped before even receiving his first shearing. “He had 40 kilos of wool on him when he came to us,” Ahern told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. “He had urine, sticks, twigs and bugs all over him — it was heartbreaking. Ahern said Alex’s wool was so matted she had to call in an expert to perform a shearing. “Holly came out at midnight and worked on him for about an hour,” she said. “It was critical, if we didn’t get it off him that night, I actually don’t think he would have made it through the night.” See the video HERE.

Florida Men Busted For Stealing Gas
Three Florida men were arrested and face racketeering charges after allegedly stealing thousands of gallons of diesel fuel from gas stations. Police said the men—27-year-old Leonardo Jesus Valdes Cordero, 44-year-old Alfredo Quintana Marrero and 47-year-old Jose Luis Hernandez Verano—were keeping a ledger that revealed they were reselling the fuel, The Gainesville Sun reported. With gas prices still very high, other people in Florida have been stealing gas. This week, investigators from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and the Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement arrested another four men Thursday for attempting to steal fuel. “Our law enforcement investigators, officers and partners are working hard every day to protect Florida consumers and businesses from theft and other fraud at gas stations across our state,” FDACS Commissioner Nikki Fried said in a statement. “Whether individuals are trying to steal fuel like in these situations or credit card data with skimmers, know that our department will continue to crack down on crimes at our gas pumps.”

Focus on your favorite song.
Studies have shown that happy music is aligned with mindfulness meditation, which can improve your mood and increase your awareness.
“Listen to one of your favorite songs over and over again, focusing on a different layer each time, such as the solo, harmonies, guitar, bass, and so on,” said Dr. Chandan Khandai, an assistant professor of psychiatry at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. “Not only will your favorite song bring a lot of joy, it will also cultivate mindfulness as you listen to a particular part and filter out the others.”
Smell a calming scent.
If there’s a scent that appeals to you and brings you a lot of joy, smell it before you head out the door. It could mean applying a citrus-scented lotion or playing with a lavender-scented putty.
“Research has shown that aromatherapy may be beneficial for your mental health. Lavender and mint are two popular essential oils that may calm you down and boost your mood,” Gold said.
Take a few deep breaths.
When we feel extremely stressed or anxious, our body goes into a “fight or flight” aka “survival mode.” In this mode, you may start breathing faster and experiencing tension in your body.
“Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system response in our bodies, which brings us out of the ’fight or flight’ feeling, and into a more calm, ‘rest and digest’ type of feeling,” said Kate Rosenblatt, the senior clinical manager at Talkspace. “You can try this by taking three deep breaths, inhaling for four seconds, and exhaling for eight seconds.”
Pairing this practice with a part of your commute, such as getting on the bus or turning on your car, will make it easier to stick to, Rosenblatt said.
Catch up with a loved one offline.
Even though you may have a lot on your plate, prioritize conversations with people who bring you joy and happiness.
“Call a friend, family member, or neighbor on the way to or from work. Catching up with people we love can make us feel supported and nurtured, which improves our mental health,” Gold said.
Visualize expressing yourself creatively.
Creative expression, through mediums such as art or music, can help you understand how you are feeling, work through difficult emotions and build healthy coping mechanisms.
Even if you don’t think of yourself as creative, you can still enjoy this hack and derive happiness from it, said Dr. Neha Chaudhary, the chief medical officer of BeMe Health.
“Try thinking about what you’d write, draw or take a photo of at this moment if you could,” Chaudhary said. “Visualizing ways in which to channel creative energy can leave you feeling focused and boost your mood pretty quickly, even if you’re not actually making something then and there.”
Listen to your favorite podcast.
Listening to a podcast or creator that makes you laugh may help you feel happier, Gold said.
“If you don’t have a favorite podcast yet, you may want to listen to one that isn’t work-focused or news-focused as those can be stressful,” she said.
Mental health podcasts may be helpful as they provide coping mechanisms to help ease stress and anxiety. Try to seek out a podcast from a source you trust, like a therapist or psychiatrist.
Prioritize a splurge.
If you’re able to, change up your commute a little to give yourself a little reward. Maybe it means grabbing an indulgent latte before you head into the office or driving the scenic route to enjoy the beauty of nature on your way to an appointment.
“Finding a small item of joy can be anywhere we find meaning. We just need to practice intentionally weaving it in,” Rosenblatt said. She recommends giving yourself these treats continuously so you’ll have something to look forward to that’ll make you happy.
