Kevin Spacey Gets First Role In Years
Kevin Spacey is on the comeback trail, booking his first film role in four years. He will appear in the Italian film “L’uomo Che Disegno Dio,” or “The Man Who Drew God.” The film will be directed by Franco Nero and also star Nero’s wife, Vanessa Redgrave. “I’m very happy Kevin agreed to participate in my film,” Nero told ABC News. “I consider him a great actor and I can’t wait to start the movie.” Spacey is not commenting. The appearance will be Spacey’s first in four years, since multiple sexual assault charges and other misconduct issues first surfaced against him. Spacey lost his role as President Frank Underwood in Netflix’s “House of Cards“ in 2017, when the first allegations surfaced.

Angela Levin, who interviewed Harry for her 2018 book “Harry: Conversations with the Prince,” took notice of the royal’s anxiety in his new AppleTV+ mental health series, “The Me You Can’t See,” and recommended he “back away” from the spotlight to better his life. “How dreadful if Harry constantly thinks that he will lose Meghan like he did Diana and blames racism,” Levin tweeted on Monday. “Plus can’t get rid of M’s threat to commit suicide. Alex Rodriguez told fans that he is entering a “new beginning” following his split from Jennifer Lopez, who has been spending time with another one of her ex-fiancés, Ben Affleck. “I am about to step into a new beginning in my life,” A-Rod wrote on his Instagram Story on Sunday. “Anything that doesn’t serve me is clearing out of my life. New energy is emerging. Matt LeBlanc’s father claims he was “cut off” from the “Friends” star nine years ago after a petty fight, according to a new report. Paul LeBlanc, a 79-year-old Vietnam veteran, told The Sun he had to move out of his home after his spat with Matt left him on hard financial times. “I’ve been living without any contact for nine years and it is still hard to believe what has happened,” Paul told The Sun in a new interview. “I’ve been cut off and locked out of my house over a humiliating argument about money and a motorbike.” Paul claims that Matt’s massive financial success over the course of his career, especially from his 10 seasons on “Friends,” changed him as a person. “The problem is that when someone has money, you don’t get into their lifestyle unless they want you there, and they can shut you down,” Paul said. “Matt is erratic with me and he has a short temper. One minute he is nice, the next he is cutting your throat — not literally, obviously.” He added, “I’m an old man now and I live off social security. Brooke Shields Opens Up About Broken Femur
After a devastating gym accident that left her unsure if she’d walk again, Brooke Shields is speaking out for the first time about her road to recovery. “I’m having to work very hard,” Shields told ABC News correspondent Deborah Roberts of the physical therapy she is now doing after breaking her femur at the gym and undergoing multiple surgeries and a weeks-long hospital stay. She said while the rehabilitation process has not always been easy, she has found the silver lining. “I think it’s almost been the biggest blessing to date because I realized what a fighter I am,” she told Roberts in an interview that aired Monday on “Good Morning America.” The accident that left Shields hospitalized happened in late January as the actress had just finished a workout that was part of a 14-day workout plan that she says left her feeling her best. “I was energized. I wasn’t exhausted, I had been eating even healthier and not drinking,” said Shields. “We finished the workout and I went in the back on my own and I went on this balance board because I had been doing it, and I finally conquered it.” She said she took her focus off the balance board for a split second, and that’s when things went wrong. “I turned back, which you never take your focus off, and I flew up in the air with such force, and I landed so heavy and so hard and with such musculature and such velocity and such height,” Shields said, adding that she fell so close to a weight bench that she could have also hit her head. “I felt how solid the impact was. I don’t remember hearing anything. The only thing I could keep saying was that I could feel my toes because I just knew that I couldn’t move, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t paralyzed.”

Horse rescued From Tree
Firefighters in England rescued a horse that wandered into a close grouping of trees and became stuck. The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the 28-year-old horse, named Eddie, wandered into trees in Ballingdon Hill, just outside of Sudbury, and became wedged. Firefighters tweeted photos of the rescue. The team said a veterinarian was brought to the scene and sedated the horse to keep him calm while firefighters trimmed the branches around him. “Once the branches were trimmed, the crews used animal rescue equipment to lift the horse out of the gap and to safe ground,” a fire service spokesman told the East Anglian Daily Times. Girl Math Wiz
An 11-year-old Florida girl earned a Guinness World Record for mental math when she solved a 12-digit multiplication problem without a calculator, pen or paper. Sanaa Hiremath, who was diagnosed with Autism at age 2, started showing an unusual aptitude for math when her parents started to home-school her, mother Priya Hiremath told Spectrum News. “We introduced the concept of multiplication for her for the very first time and she was able to answer instantly,” Hiremath said. The girls’ father, Uday, said she had actually failed math before switching to home-schooling. “They tested her on math,” Uday said, “They gave her pencil and paper and told her to write 1-20 and she could not because she can’t hold the pencil because she has fine grip, she has poor motor issues.” Sanaa’s pediatrician was impressed with the girl’s math skills and led the parents to research whether their daughter’s gift could be a Guinness World Record. The 11-year-old was given a 12-digit number to multiply, which she completed in under 10 minutes. She was not allowed to be in the room when the numbers were selected and she was brought in blindfolded before the time began.

Nearly Naked Police Chase
A Florida woman wearing almost no clothing was arrested Saturday after leading troopers on a high-speed chase through several counties in a stolen car, authorities said. Troopers were alerted around 10 a.m. Saturday that the stolen 2009 Cadillac sedan was seen traveling on I-75 in Sumter County, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said. The stolen car was located on the interstate in Hernando County, where troopers attempted a traffic stop. But the vehicle instead sped away, reaching speeds of 110 mph while changing lanes and using the roadway shoulder to pass other cars. Eventually, the driver exited the interstate onto State Road 52 in Pasco County, where troopers used a PIT maneuver to disable the vehicle. Troopers removed the driver, identified as 24-year-old Rachael Lynn Stefancich, from the vehicle and took her into custody. The FHP said that Stefancich was found “nearly fully unclothed” when she was arrested. Troopers found a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine and a substance believed to be meth inside the car, the arrest report said. They also learned that Stefancich’s license had been suspended.

Online Date Was In Prison
A woman who was ghosted by an online date later discovered he had been sent to prison – so she joined a school trip to the institution so she could visit him. Julia Kassel shared the story on her TikTok page about how she went ‘above and beyond’ to get the man’s attention after he ghosted her. She said they had been getting on well before all communication stopped, and she refused to let it go so messaged all his friends and she was shocked when they said they hadn’t heard from him either. After some super sleuthing, Julia discovered the man was in prison so she hatched a plan to go see him – which saw her join her school’s law society to go on a trip to the institution in the hope that she’d find him. Sharing the story with her 408k followers, Julia said: “Tell me about a time you went above and beyond, and I mean above and beyond, to get someone’s attention – I’ll go first. “When I was in high school I was talking to this boy for like three months and then one day I hear nothing, like completely ghosted. “And I’m was like, ‘no baby, this isn’t about to happen’, so I messaged all his friends and I’m like, ‘where did he go?’. “They said the same thing surprisingly, they were like, ‘I don’t know, we haven’t heard from him in a few days’ and I was like, ‘wait a minute – is this mother trucker in jail? Is he in jail?'” “Yes, I did exactly what you’re thinking. I joined the law club, went to every single meet, participated in every single event just so at the end of the semester I could go to the local jail for on a field trip.” Julia’s post, which was viewed more than 1.2m times, received a flurry of questions about how the visit went – so she posted a follow up explaining what happened on the trip.

How To Prepare Your Pup In Advance
Don’t wait until your first day back at the office to get your dog acclimated to the new schedule. Start getting them ready now.
“Animals thrive when they have consistent, predictable routines,” Croney said. “So if feeding, play, rest and exercise times are going to change when people head back to work, those changes should be introduced well in advance of the back-to-work date. Gradually shifting over the course of a few weeks to the new schedule and sticking with it should help ease the transition.”
Here are a few things you can do ahead of time, according to experts.
Practice short independence exercises while you’re still at home. Then gradually increase the duration and distance.
“During what remains of the work-from-home period, have the dog relax in a room away from their people while keeping them well-occupied with favorite toys and treats that will hold their attention for that time period,” Croney said.
Using high-value, long-lasting treats (think: stuffed Kongs, puzzle feeders and frozen treats) will help them connect these independent moments with something fun and positive.
Once your dog has built up some tolerance, practice leaving the house for very short periods of time — just five or 10 minutes to start. Grab the mail or take a quick walk around the block.
“As your dog learns to associate your departures with good things and feels safe because you come back before he shows even subtle signs of stress, you can start to increase the time slowly and at a rate that is comfortable for him,” she said. “The goal is that your dog has a positive experience and is not stressed during these exercises.”
Before you leave, set your dog up in an area of the house that’s both safe and familiar to them.
Choose a place where they are the most comfortable and least likely to hurt themselves.
Know that while some dogs feel content and secure in their crate when their owner is away, others may feel more anxious being confined. This can exacerbate stress and even lead to injury if they try to escape, Malamed noted.
Desensitize your dog to departure cues like putting on your shoes or jingling your car keys.
“These are common cues that become predictors that you are leaving, and often this is when dogs start to become stressed,” Malamed said. “Go through your normal leaving routine and present these cues when you don’t actually have to leave.”
Don’t make a big fuss about hellos and goodbyes.
If you make your arrivals and departures drawn out or overly emotional, your dog will pick up on that energy, which can heighten their anxiety.
“When you come home, wait until your dog is calm and then greet him calmly,” Malamed said.
Remember to also reward your pup with praise or physical touch during times they’re not actively seeking your attention (e.g., when they’re just lying on the couch or quietly playing with a toy). This will help reinforce calm behavior.
