Netflix Cancels Meghan Markle Series

Netflix has canceled Pearl, an animated series that was in development from Meghan Markle.  The cancelation comes after Netflix shares plunged in April after the streaming service announced a drop in subscribers.  Netflix told CNBC that the cancelation is part of strategic decisions the company is making on animated content.  Pearl was set to follow the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who finds inspiration from influential women throughout history.  Markle and Prince Harry signed a multi-year deal with Netflix in September 2020 to develop documentaries, feature films, scripted televisions series and children’s shows.

Danny Bonaduce Has Mystery Illness

Danny Bonaduce shared a Facebook post by his sister Celia Bonaduce, who announced that he is addressing a health concern.  “Many of you have reached out to see what’s going on with my brother Danny,” Celia began her post. “Thank you. Along with Dairy Queen dipped cones and your messages, he is feeling the love. We are not being coy when we say this is a ‘mystery illness’… in layman’s terms, his balance sucks – super sucks – and all the great medical minds of Seattle are at work trying to solve this conundrum.”  “We will keep you posted,” Celia shared. “Please remember, that while he is a public figure, he is also my well-loved brother.”  Bonaduce shared a similar sentiment.  “Thank you for all of the well wishes,” tweeted Danny. “It really means a lot to me that so many of you have reached out.”  On Friday, he announced on Twitter that he was taking a temporary leave from his radio show due to his illness. He has been on “The Danny Bonaduce & Sarah Morning Show” on Seattle radio station KZOK since 2011.  Bonaduce also shared a photo of himself with a walking cane.  See the tweet HERE.

Amber Heard Ditches PR Team

Amber Heard ditched her original PR team and hired a new one just days before she is set to take the stand in Johnny Depp’s ongoing defamation trial.  Heard has hired Shane Communications after ending her contract with Precision Strategies.  She is expected to take the stand Wednesday and CEO David Shane along with Shane Communications is now handling all of Heard’s communications and media strategy, Fox News Digital has learned.  A brand and crisis management expert told Fox News that the switch feels like an “unforced error” ahead of Heard’s expected testimony.  “For several weeks, Depp’s team presented his side of the story, including audio tapes of Heard saying she hit him, a psychologist testifying that she has borderline personality disorder and that she literally s— the bed,” the expert said.  “You’ve either got to have exceptionally thin skin or not understand how the media works to think anyone could spin their way to positive headlines with these kinds of attacks happening not just in the courtroom, but on national TV, for the last several weeks,” the expert continued. “It’s certainly possible things could move more in her favor once the defense starts presenting its case, but it feels like an unforced error to switch PR teams right before that begins.”  The decision for Heard to hire a new PR team was reportedly made in order to fix the “bad headlines.”

Jennifer Grey has dropped another bombshell about her fiery relationship with ex-fiancé Johnny Depp in her new memoir “Out of the Corner,” out now.  She is revealing how things took a dark turn after her agent set her up on a blind date with her in 1989, when he was 26 and she was 29.  The pair became engaged just two weeks after meeting that year, she claimed.  Of their first date, Grey penned: “We ate, talked, drank Jack Daniel’s, laughed our asses off, took cigarette breaks midcourse. He was so ridiculously beautiful. And surprisingly open, funny, quirky and sweet.” She described how Depp’s behavior became erratic during their time together: “Johnny was commuting every week back and forth from Vancouver, but had begun more and more regularly to be getting into trouble: fights in bars, skirmishes with cops.”  “He’d started missing his flights home to LA having overslept or, when he did come home, he’d be crazy jealous and paranoid about what I’d been up to while he was gone,” the mother of one continued. “I attributed his ill temper and unhappiness to him feeling miserable and powerless to get off [the TV series] ’21 Jump Street.’”

Vampires Have Warning For Megan Fox

Machine Gun Kelly‘s revelation he and Megan Fox drink each other’s blood is drawing a warning from vampires.  Many people on Twitter are labeling them vampires, and now self-described vampires are weighing in on the famous couple’s blood-drinking ritual.  Belfazaar Ashantison, the co-founder of The New Orleans Vampire Association (NOVA), is urging Megan and MGK to take proper precautions before drinking their lover’s blood, including testing for potential diseases and blood-borne illnesses, from which he says vampires are not immune.  They have been together for nearly 2 years, which alleviates one concern, because Ashantison says most vampires do extensive research on their blood donors before using even the slightest drop. He says it took him 6 months to get to know his blood donor and feel comfortable drinking their blood, and they still get tested every 3 months just to be sure.

Couple Marries On Canceled Flight

An Oklahoma City couple’s canceled flight on their way to elope in Las Vegas led to their holding their wedding aboard a Southwest Airlines plane.  Southwest Airlines said in a Facebook post that Pam Patterson and Jeremy Salda booked a Sunday flight to Las Vegas, and decided to travel in their wedding attire to be ready for their wedding chapel appointment at 9 p.m.  The couple arrived at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to catch their connecting flight to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, but after multiple delays they were told their flight was canceled.  A fellow passenger named Chris, who was also attempting to travel from Dallas to Las Vegas, overheard them discussing their predicament and revealed he was an ordained minister and would be willing to personally preside over their wedding in Las Vegas.  The trio booked the last three remaining seats on a Southwest flight from Dallas Love Field Airport to Las Vegas and took a ride-sharing car to get from one Dallas airport to the other.  While boarding the new flight, the pilot, Capt. Gil, noticed Patterson was wearing a wedding gown and asked her about it.  “Pam explained their story and joked with Captain Gil they should just get married on the flight. For the second time that week, Pam was surprised to hear the words, ‘Let’s do it,'” the Facebook post said.

Woman Steals Lawnmower

Alabama police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman caught on camera riding a stolen lawnmower and pulling a trailer with other stolen items, including a University of Alabama yard sign.   Flomaton police said the woman – whom they later identified as Madonna Barnhill – is one of several individuals charged in multiple burglaries over the past two weeks.   Police received a report on April 24 of a burglary at a residence in Flomaton, which is near Alabama’s border with Florida.   Surveillance footage showed a masked woman riding a lawnmower while pulling a trailer filled with items stolen from the residence. Police said that a home had been broken into by breaking a lock with a bolt cutter-style tool.
********When you’re riding a lawnmower towing a trailer and wearing a mask, it’s hard to “blend in!!”

Four-Year Old Takes Mom’s Car On Joyride

A four-year-old boy has been likened to F1 star Max Verstappen after taking his mother’s car for a drive in the Netherlands.  Police said the child crashed into two parked cars and was found alone by a bystander walking around in his pajamas and bare feet on Saturday.  The child had taken his mother’s car keys, “to go for a drive”, after he had woken up on Saturday when his father went to work, according to police.  On Instagram, the force said they had discovered a “new Max Verstappen” and that no one was hurt in the incident.  Police contacted the boy’s mother and while he spoke to her on the phone, the boy gestured steering a wheel which led police to think he may have been driving.  Taken to the scene, the child was asked if he knew how the car worked.  Police said he opened the car with the keys, put the key in the ignition and went to the clutch with his left foot and stepped on the gas.
