Mariah Carey Announces Christmas Show
Mariah Carey has announced “Merry Christmas to All!,” a new holiday revue, for 2022. She will perform two shows celebrating her catalog of holiday songs in December. She will take the stage Dec. 11 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, and Dec. 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. EDT. Tom Brady’s ex, Bridget Moynahan, shared a quote about relationships ending from marriage therapist Vienna Pharaon — the timing of which will raise an eyebrow or two as Brady himself is on the brink of divorce from Gisele Bündchen. “Not everything is meant to be mended. Matthew Perry Spent Big Bucks Trying To Sober Up
Matthew Perry revealed he’s spent nearly $10 million over the course of his life to get sober from his alcohol and drug addictions. Talking to the New York Times, he’s been 18-months clean of all substances, which meant he was newly sober by the time the “Friends” reunion aired in May 2021. “I’ve probably spent $9 million or something trying to get sober,” he estimated. While Perry is aware that he has resources most addicts don’t, he also said that they have “the gift of anonymity,” which means they’re spared the humiliation of having their darkest moments exposed. He detailed his long history with substance abuse, which began with imbibing alcohol at age 14 and turned into a full-blown opioid addiction that would ultimately cause him to suffer a nearly fatal health scare in 2019. “The doctors told my family that I had a 2 percent chance to live,” he previously told People of the moment his colon burst.

Brad Pitt, who will produce and star in an upcoming movie about Formula 1, is under fire for snubbing one of the sport’s most beloved commentators. He gave Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle the cold shoulder on the starting grid at the US Grand Prix on Sunday. The British journalist, known for his star-studded, pre-race grid walks, attempted to speak with Pitt while live on-air. Brundle inquired about his upcoming F1 project, which Lewis Hamilton is co-producing, before asking whether he had enjoyed the race weekend in Austin, Texas. “Thank you, man,” Pitt simply replied, before brushing past Brundle. “Obviously they’re known as Pitt stops, if they don’t want you to talk to Brad Pitt,” the longtime F1 reporter quipped. Fans of the sport weren’t pleased that Pitt had spent three days conducting movie research with team bosses and drivers alike, but seemingly didn’t realize who Brundle was. “Brad Pitt making a movie about F1 but not knowing who the voice of the sport Martin Brundle is,” journalist Omid Scobie tweeted about the incident. “Brad Pitt.. the man starring in an F1 film won’t even stop for 30 seconds to speak to Martin Brundle… if you don’t wanna be interviewed, get off the grid and make way for people who do,” another person chimed in. Coyote Trapped In Grille Of Car
Workers at a car dealership in Florida examined a car that was dropped off for service and made a surprising discovery — a coyote wedged in the front grille. The St. Francis Wildlife Association in Quincy said in a Facebook post that a rescuer was dispatched to the Toyota dealership in Tallahassee when garage workers preparing to service a car that had been dropped off Thursday discovered a live coyote embedded in the grille. Dealership technicians removed the front of the vehicle to allow the rescuer to safely extract the animal. “Always check your vehicle after a strike with a wild animal when safe to do so! Not only is it important to check if the animal is still alive so we can assist right away; it also is important to check your car to see if it’s still safe to be driven,” the post said. The rescue group said in a follow-up post that the coyote underwent surgery for a leg injury and is expected to make a full recovery. See the pics HERE.

Girls Ends Up Having 2 Fathers
A Georgia TikTok user says two men discovered they were both fathers to a young girl when they came to pick her up from the school where she works. In a series of videos posted by @Sheena_20200 – who FOX 28 said works in the front office – the men came in before dismissal earlier this month – each claiming the girl was their daughter and that they wanted to check her out for the day. “And so, they both look at each other, and the dad was like, ‘Why are you checking my child out? Who are you?'” Sheena Jackson said in the video. “And he was like, ‘Who are you? What do you mean? I’m her dad,'” the other reportedly responded. Jackson said that both of them were listed as emergency contacts for the girl and that their IDs had been checked. The principal of the school told Jackson to call the mother, and Jackson said the mother started “screaming and crying” while the dads were “going in.” The men were separated as they waited for the mother to arrive at the school. “When she got to the school, you know, one of the daddies ran in the parking lot to her. Like, ‘What’s going on? What’s going on? Why you didn’t tell me?'” she recounted. “So, we ran out in the parking lot with them. You all how about he hit her. He hit the mama.” Jackson said that the mother said she had been telling both men that they were the father of the girl – who was not present for the alleged incident. “Nobody ever knew anything…. This was crazy. But, at the end of the day, the police [were] there. One of the daddies got locked up. You know, mama went to the EMS. Grandma had to come get the child, because nobody could get the child at that point,” she said. “But, it was a mess…. It was a mess.”

Workers Find Mercedes Buried In A Backyard
Homeowners in California’s Silicon Valley discovered a buried car while working on a landscaping project Thursday morning, police said. Officers with the Atherton Police Department responded to the residence in the 300 block of Stockbridge Avenue regarding a report of a buried vehicle. The vehicle was approximately 4 to 5 feet underground when discovered and contained unused bags of concrete, police said. A contractor told KTVU the car was a Mercedes. Investigators brought cadaver dogs to the scene because of the “unknown nature” of why the vehicle was buried. Police said the dogs made a “slight notification” of possible human remains, but none have been discovered as of early Friday morning. Atherton police also contacted the San Mateo Crime Lab, which sent technicians to assist with the excavation. Police said the vehicle was likely buried in the 1990s before the current homeowner occupied the home. Investigators remained at the scene through the evening.

According to a Piper Sandler study, 14,500 teens in 47 states were asked what their favorite restaurants were. Fifteen percent of participants noted that the fast food chain famous for its breaded chicken, waffle fries, mac ‘n’ cheese and Southern hospitality was a treasured eatery. About 12% of teens loved Starbucks, followed by Chipotle (7%), McDonald’s (6%) and Olive Garden (3%).

Trying to build new habits? Stick to these 5 wise tips to stay on the right path

- Don’t rely solely on motivation to build new habits
Motivation, however powerful, is not a constant factor. On some days you may be filled with encouragement. But those days might be far and few.
Instead, you should focus on establishing a system, discipline or accountability that will get you through the monotonous days when you might feel like giving up.
- Set specific goals
Unless you have a goal post in sight, it is likely you wouldn’t know just where and how to kick. It will always help to be specific about your goals of building a new habit. What is it that you want to achieve and by when? Generic goal-setting may not turn out as effective as being specific about it when you want to build a new habit.
So, try putting specifics like time, duration, place etc. the next time you set a goal for yourself. By the way, do you know about the SMART plan to achieve your goals?
- Avoid biting off more than you can chew
You might somehow manage to work your arms, legs and core muscles in a single day at the gym. But when the next day comes, you are faced with the expectation to achieve at least what you did yesterday, if not more. And so, the task becomes too daunting to follow through.
But on the other hand, if you divide your task into small chunks – like leg days are Mondays, core muscle exercises on Tuesdays, and so on – you will find your fitness or life goals more likely to be accomplished. Learning how to be a better organizer can be one of the ways to build new habits.
- Keep a check on your progress
It is easier to feel cornered by all the things you can’t do, if you don’t remind yourself of the things you can. This where it is important that when you build new habits, keeping a track of your progress is most crucial. It gives you a positive mindset to keep you going.
Tracking your progress doesn’t have to be very complex. It can be a simple tick on the calendar after reaching your daily goal.
- Be accountable
Establishing some form of accountability can make deviating from your path less appealing. So, find a way to impose a check on yourself. For instance, if you skip exercise for a day, you might want to walk back home from work or use stairs for the whole day. That’s how you can build good habits.
