Mel B Walks Back Her James Corden Comments

Mel B insists her comments about James Corden were not that scary after all.  Recently, she was a guest on “The Big Narstie Show” where she was asked, “Who is the biggest d—head celebrity you’ve ever met?” The former Spice Girl put her own name on the list, as well as James Corden, “Ginger Spice” Geri Halliwell and Jessie J.  “Well, for start, that was a tongue-in-cheek joke that I said James Corden and Geri Halliwell,” Mel told Fox News Digital. “That was tongue-in-cheek by the way.”  “But I mean, I do meet… so many people in the industry that are just not very nice either because their egos [are] ridiculously inflated or they’re just believing their own hype,” she shared. “So I do think it’s important to stay humble and just be kind.” On the show, she said that she loved Geri Halliwell, 50, but she can be “really f—ing annoying.” However, her feelings about Corden, 44, seemed to stem from how he treats others.  “I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with – whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting,” the mother of three explained at the time. “We all work for the same thing, so you should always be nice, and he hasn’t been very nice.”

BTS Member Reports To Korean Military

K-pop star Jin began his 18 months of mandatory military service in South Korea on Tuesday, launching supergroup BTS and its army of fans into an uncertain new era.  Jin reported to a boot camp near the country’s border with its nuclear-armed neighbor, making him the first BTS star to serve in the military. He is the group’s oldest member and will be followed in enlisting in the coming years by his six bandmates — meaning BTS will take a hiatus for a few years.  The singer, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, reported to a training center in Yeoncheon where frontline troops are deployed on guard against North Korea. early Tuesday.  He will undergo five weeks of basic training, which will involve rifle-shooting, grenade-throwing, and marching practices before being assigned to a military unit.  Jin posted a photo on Weverse, an online fan platform, on Sunday showing himself with a military buzzcut. He also left a message for his fans hours before entering the camp, saying “It’s time for a curtain call.” He was driven into the base past a small group holding photos and posters bearing his image.

Below Deck Captain Leaves Show

Captain Lee Rosbach announced he’s departing “Below Deck” after coming to terms with ongoing health issues in the midst of Season 10.  “As you guys know, I’ve been struggling with my mobility, and it’s been hard,” Rosbach, 73, told the crew on Monday’s episode. “And I’ve let you guys down, and for that I apologize. So I’ve made a decision to leave the boat.”  He explained in a confessional that he was struggling with nerve issues at the beginning of the charter season. Despite his best efforts, things were “getting worse.”  “The left side of my body, I don’t feel anything,” Rosbach explained.  He later added in another confessional that the “most frustrating part about it is, I can’t do a goddamn thing about it, and it’s hard.” “There comes a point if a captain is really being objective, he should be putting the best interests of his crew first because that’s your primary responsibility,” he continued. “As soon as you step on board, check your f–king ego at the dock. That’s where you leave it.”

Jennifer Coolidge Recalls Sleeping With Younger Man

The White Lotus” star Jennifer Coolidge recalled an awkward moment she had after sleeping with a much younger man that involved the need for a blowout and a phone call with his mother. “This one guy was particularly young — legal, of course, it was all very legal — but it was funny because we had to … The one moment was a little bit awkward because he … I won’t get into the details,” Coolidge, 61, told her superfan Ariana Grande in an interview for Entertainment Weekly published Monday.  “But afterwards, the next morning, I told him I needed to get a blow dry. So he was so young, we called his mother to see where I could get a blow dry.”  She added, “It was so weird that happened on the phone; it was very clear that we were in the bed together.”  Despite the uncomfortable situation, Coolidge shared that the guy’s mom did end up coming through.  “She gave me a good recommendation at a local mall, so it all worked out,” she said.  In fact, she described the mystery man as the “best d–k” she’s ever had.

Nicolas Cage Thought He Was An Alien

When he was a child, Nicolas Cage was convinced he was an alien.  He admitted that he was “shocked” to find out that he had “normal organs and a normal skeleton.”  “I was shocked the day I went to the doctor’s office as a child and I found out that I had normal organs and a normal skeleton because I was certain I was from another planet,” he told Rampstyle magazine.  He opened up about his childhood and his struggle to connect with others as a socially awkward kid.  “My father told me he felt like he had to introduce himself to me because I was such an alien,” he admitted.  But his difficulties to relate to others led him to pursue acting.  “I had difficulties connecting with other people. When I saw David Bowie in ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth,’ I realized I needed to do something, so I became an actor,” Cage said.

Snake Pulled From Golf Ball Machine

An Arizona reptile wrangler was summoned to a golf driving range to remove a rattlesnake that found its way into a ball dispenser.  The Snake Relocation Team posted a video to YouTube showing what happened when a snake wrangler named Marissa Maki was summoned to the Topgolf location in Scottsdale.  The video shows Maki being directed by Topgolf employees to a ball dispenser machine where a loud rattling sound could be heard.  The reptile wrangler was able to use her tongs to safely ensnare the western diamondback rattlesnake and place it into a bucket for safe relocation to a less inhabited area.  “I’ve actually gotten a rattlesnake at this same Topgolf before and coworkers of mine have removed some as well. It is surrounded by desert, so you are in their habitat,” Maki told The Tribune newspaper. “I wouldn’t say its an unusual place to find one.”  See the video HERE.

Women Busted For Feeding Cats

Two women are scheduled to stand trial in an Alabama city court where they’re accused of committing misdemeanors in their efforts to feed and trap stray cats.  Mary Alston, 60, and Beverly Roberts, 84, were arrested and taken to jail by police in Wetumpka over the summer. The police chief said the women had previously been warned not to feed stray animals.  A trial was set for Tuesday morning in Wetumpka Municipal Court. Both women, who were arrested on public property, face misdemeanor counts of criminal trespassing, the Montgomery Advertiser reported. Roberts was also charged with disorderly conduct, while Alston faced a charge of interfering with government operations.  Terry Luck, an attorney for one of the women, said they were performing a public service by trapping stray cats and having them neutered and spayed.  “There were plenty of other ways this could have been addressed without these ladies being arrested and taken to jail,” Luck said.  Wetumpka Police Chief Greg Benton said feeding the cats had created a nuisance because it attracts more animals to the area. He said both women had been “repeatedly” warned to stop prior to being arrested.

Police Rescue Mannequin

Police broke down the doors of a London art gallery to save a woman slumped unconscious over a table – only to discover she was made of packing tape and foam filler.  The lifeless woman they had been trying to save was in fact an art installation entitled ‘Kristina’ which is on display at the London gallery.  The work was commissioned by Steve Lazarides, Banksy’s former agent and the dealer behind Laz Emporium. Mr Lazarides said: “Hannah who was working in the gallery that day had just locked up and gone upstairs to make a cup of tea.  “She came down to find the door off its hinges and two confused police officers!”  London’s Metropolitan Police were responding to a call about a “person in distress” at the gallery.  “Officers forced entry to the address, where they uncovered that the person was in fact a mannequin,” a police spokesperson told Artnet News.  The installation features a woman wearing trainers and a yellow hoody slumped face forward in a bowl of soup, her long blonde hair concealing her face.

Here’s Why Your Coworkers Always Seem to Have More Money Than You

  1. They Cancel Their Car Insurance

Here’s the thing: your current car insurance company is probably overcharging you. But don’t waste your time hopping around to different insurance companies looking for a better deal.  Use a website called EverQuote to see all your options at once.  EverQuote is the largest online marketplace for insurance in the US, so you’ll get the top options from more than 175 different carriers handed right to you.

Take a couple of minutes to answer some questions about yourself and your driving record. With this information, EverQuote will be able to give you the top recommendations for car insurance. In just a few minutes, you could save up to $610 a year.

  1. They Stop Paying Their Credit Card Company

If you have credit card debt, you know. The anxiety, the interest rates, the fear you’re never going to escape…  And the truth is, your credit card company doesn’t really care. It’s just getting rich by ripping you off with high interest rates — some up to 36%. But a website called AmOne wants to help.   If you owe your credit card companies $50,000 or less, AmOne will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.

The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmOne rates start at 2.49% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster. Plus: No credit card payment this month.  You don’t need a perfect credit score to get a loan — and comparing your options won’t affect your score at all.  Plus, AmOne keeps your information confidential and secure, which is probably why after 20 years in business, it still has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.  It takes less than a minute and just 10 questions to see what loans you qualify for — you don’t even need to enter your Social Security number. You do need to give AmOne a real phone number in order to qualify, but don’t worry — they won’t spam you with phone calls.

  1. They Get Paid Up to $140/Month Just for Sharing Their Honest Opinion

It sounds strange, but brands want to hear your opinion. It helps them make business decisions, so they’re willing to pay you for it — up to $140 a month.  A free site called Branded Surveys will pay you up to $5 per survey for sharing your thoughts with their brand partners. Taking three quick surveys a day could earn up to $140 each month.  It takes just a minute to create a free account and start getting paid to speak your mind. Most surveys take five to 15 minutes, and you can check how long they’ll take ahead of time.

And you don’t need to build up tons of money to cash out, either — once you earn $5, you can cash out via PayPal, your bank account, a gift card or Amazon. You’ll get paid within 48 hours of your payout being processed, just for sharing your opinions.  They’ve already paid users more than $20 million since 2012, and the most active users can earn a few hundred dollars a month. Plus, they’ve got an “excellent” rating on Trustpilot. It takes just a minute to set up your account and start getting paid to take surveys. Plus, right now, you’ll get a free 100-point welcome bonus just for becoming part of the community.

  1. They Get Paid up to $83 to Win Solitaire Games

Lots of us already play Solitaire on our phones for fun or just to pass the time. Want to see if you can win money at it?  There’s a free iPhone app called Solitaire Cash that lets you play for real money. You could get paid up to $83 per win.  You might be thinking: There’s got to be a catch. This is definitely one of those spammy apps, right?  Wrong. There really isn’t a catch. Sure, you can pay to play in some higher-stakes tournaments, but there’s no pressure. And, in fact, there aren’t even any annoying ads. With each game, you’ll battle it out against at least five other players. Everyone gets the same deck, so winning is totally a matter of skill. The top three players who solve the deck fastest can win real money — anywhere from $1 to $83.

Over on the App Store, it has over a million downloads and more than 15,000 ratings, averaging 4.7 stars (out of 5). To get started, just download the free app and start playing your first game immediately.

  1. They Earn $300+/Month in Passive Income with Their Extra Space

If you’re like us, your garage probably isn’t doing much of anything at the moment. Maybe you have some tools in there, or maybe it’s home to your boxes of odds and ends, collecting dust.  But with a website called Neighbor, your extra space — whether it’s a spare room, an empty garage or a parking space — could be earning you an extra $300 a month in totally passive income.  Neighbor works by connecting people who need storage space with hosts who have the room to spare. The average host makes about $300 a month, but some people have earned up to $50,000 a year just by letting people park on their property.

It takes less than 10 minutes to get started. Just answer a few questions about your space, take some pictures and set your asking price. Neighbor will recommend a dollar amount based on your location and type of rental, but the final listing is up to you.  Neighbor even gives you up to $1 million in free protection as a host and offers protection plans for your renters, giving you both peace of mind.  Neighbor is an easy source of passive income, and it’s easier than most side hustles. It’s free to list your space, and you’ll only be charged a 4.9% processing fee from the profit you make each month, so there’s no risk to you. Sign up here and see how much you could earn.

  1. They Own a Piece of Amazon, Google or Netflix

Saving for retirement is smart. Having your company contribute to your 401(k) is helpful. But having an ownership interest in a Fortune 500 company that you don’t even work for help get you to your retirement goal? That’s awesome.  And it’s surprisingly easy to make happen, with an app called Stash.1 It lets you own pieces of well-known companies, like Amazon, Apple, Google and more for $5 or less.

Seriously — with only a few dollars, you can invest in thousands of stocks and ETFs, which can help you grow your investing portfolio and reach your retirement goals. The best part? Some companies may even send you a check every quarter for your share of profits, called dividends. If these companies profit, so can you.

It takes two minutes to sign up, and your investments are protected. With Stash, investments are held by their custodian, Apex Clearing Corporation, a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) — that’s industry talk for, “Your money comes with protection.”2  Plus, when you use the link above, Stash will give you a $5 bonus once you deposit $5 into your account.3

  1. They Know You Don’t Have to Pay Full Price — Ever

Most rich people didn’t get that way by accident. They watch their money like a hawk. You’d be surprised at the lengths even the wealthiest people go to to save a buck — they almost never pay full price.  Good news: The rest of us don’t have to, either. A free site and desktop extension called Rakuten works with just about every online store you shop at, and they can make sure you get some cash back every time you buy — up to 15% cash back.

We talked to Denver resident Colleen Rice, who’s earned more than $526.44 in cash back since she started using Rakuten. For doing nothing. Seriously — she just uses Rakuten for things she already has to buy, like rental cars and flights.

It takes less than a minute to open a Rakuten account and start shopping like you normally would. You just need an email address.

They’ll pay you with a check in the mail every few months or deposit it to your PayPal account. Talk about money for nothing.
