Megan Fox Confirms New Relationship

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are going public with their romance.  They were spotted holding hands and kissing during an outing Monday in Los Angeles, according to photos from The Daily Mail.  Fox and Kelly were seen hand-in-hand as they left Mr. Furley’s Bar in Sherman Oaks. The couple shared a kiss in their convertible before driving off.  Machine Gun Kelly appeared to call Fox his girlfriend in a tweet shortly before the outing. He posted the lyric “I’m calling you girlfriend” from his song “Bloody Valentine,” which has a music video featuring Fox.  “life imitated art on that one,” the rapper wrote.  Machine Gun Kelly, born Colson Baker, released the “Bloody Valentine” video in May. Fox split from her husband, actor Brian Austin Green, in May after nearly 10 years of marriage. Green subsequently addressed Fox’s rumored romance with Machine Gun Kelly on his podcast.  “They’re friends at this point,” Green said. “I trust her judgment.”

Jurassic World Resumes Filming

The cast and crew of Jurassic World: Dominion plan to resume filming in July.  Variety confirmed Monday that the sequel is slated to start production again July 6th in the United Kingdom.  Universal Pictures shut down pre-production on the film in March due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The studio confirmed Monday to Deadline that the movie will resume filming at Pinewood Studios.  Production staff have been implementing new safety protocols on set in anticipation of the shoot, with pre-production to begin next week. Universal is working with the British Film Council and U.S. unions to meet and exceed safety standards.  Universal is reportedly spending $5 million on safety protocols for the shoot, which include thousands of COVID-19 tests for cast and crew members and the commission of a private medical facility called Your Doctor.  “Anyone with symptoms will be isolated immediately before being sent home,” a Universal production executive said. “We want to make sure that we are going above and beyond the national protocols to create a safe environment. Cost isn’t our main concern now: it’s safety.”

Jane Fonda and Lil Nas X Working Together

Jane Fonda joins “Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X, singer King Princess, Japanese artist Miyavi and environmentalist David de Rothschild in an ad campaign for Gucci’s new “Off the Grid” collection.  The collection, which is the first from Gucci’s Circular Lines initiative that calls for circular production, uses recycled, organic, bio-based and sustainably sourced materials.  Lil Nas X models a shoulder bag ($1,190) and black high top sneakers ($730) while Fonda sports an oversized yellow tote ($1,690) and matching yellow sneakers ($690).  The collection speaks to Fonda’s mission in climate activism; the actress has re-worn many gowns on the red carpet after vowing to stop shopping and decrease waste.

Star Wars Celebration Cancelled

For the first time in the event’s history, the 2020 “Star Wars” Celebration has been canceled because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, organizers announced Monday in a statement on their website. A new date has been set for Aug. 18, 2022.  The global gathering of “Star Wars” fans — which began in 1999 in Denver to celebrate the release of “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace” — was originally scheduled to take place Aug. 27 to 30 in California’s Anaheim Convention Center.  For over 20 years, “Star Wars” Celebration has been held in various venues around the world, including Japan and Germany. It regularly draws crowds of 30,000 people, which is not ideal in an era where there’s a highly contagious illness going around. This year would have been its second time in Anaheim (after a first time in 2015).  Ticket-holders have the option to transfer this year’s ticket to the 2022 event, get a refund or replace it with credit for “Star Wars” swag.

Kelly Clarkson Sings “Chain Of Fools”

Following her surprise split from husband Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s cover of Aretha Franklin’s 1967 hit, “Chain of Fools,” has tongues wagging.  In a clip posted to her “Kelly Clarkson Show” YouTube channel, she can be seen belting out the song’s iconic lyrics, “I ain’t nothin’ but your fool, Ya treated me mean, Oh you treated me cruel.”  Last week, she filed for divorce from Blackstock, her husband of nearly seven years. The couple share two children, River Rose, 5, and Remington Alexander, 4.  While the couple’s split may have come as a surprise, Clarkson did reveal in a recent episode of her show that Blackstock — who has two children from a previous marriage — did not want any more kids.  “I so want another child,” Clarkson told her guest, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, “and my husband is like, ‘No, we have four.’”  See the video HERE.

How Much Did Meghan and Harry Cost Canada?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s stay in Canada reportedly cost the country’s taxpayers more than $40,000.  The Canadian Taxpayers Federation, a citizens advocacy group aimed at lowering taxes, claims it accessed documents showing that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) spent CA$56,384 on security costs for the British royals from Nov. 18, 2019 to Jan. 19, 2020. The bottom line number in Canada translates to over $40,000 in U.S. dollars, according to the group’s report.  Aaron Wudrick, federal director for the advocacy group, said the security bill “could have easily turned into millions” had Meghan and Harry remained on Vancouver Island, where they were reportedly staying before uprooting to Los Angeles, Calif.  “More than $50,000 is nothing to sneeze at, especially when you consider the fact that this is taxpayers’ money covering bills for one of the most famous and wealthy couples in the world,” Wudrick said.  The group reported that the bill does not show the salaries of the officers on duty for the couple. It “only” shows the costs relating to “overtime, travel, meals, incidentals and accommodations,” the report said.
*******$40,000??? They’ve got that much change in their junk drawer!!

Elon Musk’s Baby Name Revealed

The official legal name of Grimes and Elon Musk’s newborn son has been revealed.  The couple left fans stunned last month when they announced they chose to name their first child together X Æ A-12. The unique moniker went viral, leading fans to question how it would be pronounced and if it was legal.  Thanks to the unveiling of the little one’s birth certificate per TMZ, the singer and Tesla founder’s son’s name is officially on record in the state of California as X AE A-XII Musk.  They have kept fans updated about the status of their son’s name with fans through social media. In late May, Grimes admitted the couple made a change to their child’s name, given that it reportedly wouldn’t be accepted legally in the state of California because it included the number 12.  “X Æ A-Xii,” Grimes responded to a fan at the time, confirming that the number was replaced with roman numerals instead.  One of her followers responded, “Nice! Just removed the numbers to conform to California law.” Grimes wrote, “Roman numerals. Looks better tbh.”  She also shared the name is pronounced “Ex – Eye.”  Also, in an interview with Bloomberg, the hitmaker revealed she already has nicknamed their new bundle of joy “Little X.”

Seaplane Makes Beer Delivery

A Northern Michigan beer company enlisted the help of a seaplane to make six special deliveries to families on waterfront properties.  Steve Smith, aka Aquabear, took off in his seaplane Saturday morning with Joe Short, owner and founder of Short’s Brewing Co., to deliver six crates of beer to waterfront properties in Antrim County.  The Elk Rapids-based brewery offered a limited run of seaplane deliveries online and the slots quickly sold out.  Smith and Short met at a fundraising event in 2018 and teamed up to film a water-skiing promo later that year.  Short said Smith pitched him the idea of using the plane to bolster the brewery’s delivery service, which began in March amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  “He likes to get his airplane out, fly it around and have fun bouncing around the lake,” Short told the Traverse City Record-Eagle. “I was like ‘Alright cool, let’s put it together.'”

Gold Bars Left Behind

Authorities in Switzerland said they are trying to track down the owner of $190,000 worth of gold bars left behind on a train.  The local prosecutor’s office in Lucerne said the approximately $190,000 worth of gold bars were found left behind after the passengers left a Swiss Federal Railways train that arrived in the city from St. Gallen.  Officials said the gold was found in October 2019, but they are now appealing to the public for information after months of investigating failed to determine the origins of the precious metal.  The prosecutor’s office said the owner of the gold is being given five years to come forward.
