Damien Lewis Returning To Billions
Damien Lewis is returning to Billions in Season 7 after leaving the show in 2021 at the end of it’s fifth season. The show tweeted a teaser featuring Lewis as Bobby Axelrod along with the caption, “Just when you thought he was out. . .” He departed the show when his wife, actress Helen McCory died of cancer in April 2021. He announced his return on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monday. At the end of Season 5, Axelrod’s character fears legal repercussions and is forced depart for Switzerland, which accounts for the characters absence in the sixth season. “Bobby Axelrod is a predator,” Lewis told Colbert. “He’s one of the big cats and he’s a cheetah.” “Bobby’s back, Axe is back and it’s exciting, he’s not been around for a couple of seasons,” he said. When Colbert asked when Bobby would return, Lewis said, “I can’t tell you that!”

A source says, “If you were waiting to see Rock on tour address the infamous Will Smith slap situation . . . the comedian is waiting to spill his humorous take on it on his live Netflix stand-up special.” The source added that Rock has decided to address it during his stand-up special Saturday in Baltimore, when “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage” streams live from the Hippodrome Theatre. The Oscars are back on Mar. 12. The source said that the tough part for Rock has been how to test out the material while keeping it under wraps. Said an insider, “Most stand-ups like to test out their material in smaller clubs before they tape a special,” but Rock “relied on the help of veteran comedy writers to run his jokes by to make sure they were tweaked, solid and funny.”

Meghan Markle has made her first appearance since the latest “South Park” episode. She showed up in a new ad on Instagram for “self-care” coffee brand Clevr Blends, after being royally roasted by “South Park” and the fallout from her husband Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare.” She appeared in the commercial with founder Hannah Mendoza, who explains Markle invested in the health brand in 2020 — the same year she and Harry stepped down as senior members of the royal family. The clip shows Mendoza sipping on the wellness lattes with Markle, who wears a casual look consisting of jeans and a trench coat. Mendoza spoke about when she created the superfood lattes — which are free of dairy, grain and nut milk and include ingredients made from herbs, roots, spices and vegetables. “People fell in love with the drink and really wanted to make them at home,” the CEO said. “Three years ago, everything changed. None other than Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had started drinking our lattes.” “Not only did she love the product but she was extremely passionate about female founders and sustainable sourcing,” Mendoza added.

Madonna Cared For Her Late Brother
Madonna was taking care of her late brother, Anthony Ciccone, before his death despite rumors that they were estranged. Family sources tell TMZ Madonna was actually footing the bill for Anthony’s stay at a Michigan rehab center before he died this weekend. We’re told he’d been there for a while, and that 2 days before he passed … Anthony himself removed the feeding/breathing tubes doctors had him using. TMZ sources say he was in failing health toward the end — having lost a lot of weight — and he knew the consequences of removing the equipment, which ultimately resulted in his death. Sources say Madonna and other relatives have been actively trying to help Anthony for years, but, by and large, he rejected assistance, as living on the streets and drinking had become a way of life.
Alec Baldwin Faces More Lawsuits
Alec Baldwin and “Rust” movie productions were named in a negligence lawsuit filed by three former crew members who say they witnessed the on-set shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Ross Addiego, Doran Curtin and Reese Price are suing Baldwin, Rust Movie Productions, LLC and El Dorado Pictures for compensatory and punitive damages following injuries suffered on set, “including, but not limited to, hearing loss, temporary deafness, and vibrational shock,” per the suit. Documents obtained by Fox News Digital stated, “On October 21, 2021, Defendant Alexander R. Baldwin III fired a Colt .45 revolver towards the crew on the set of the movie Rust, killing the film’s Director of Photography – Halyna Hutchins – and injuring Ross Addiego, Doran Curtin and Reese Price (“Plaintiffs”). “These injuries were caused by Defendants’ failure to follow industry safety rules. Defendants cut corners; ignored reports of multiple, unscripted firearms discharges; and persisted, rushed and understaffed, to finish the film.” “The negligent and reckless conduct of Alec Baldwin and the Rust production cannot be excused,” Jacob G. Vigil, legal counsel for the three former crew members, said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital. Addiego, Curtin and Price claimed the “gun-heavy” Western flick was allowed only “21 days to film” and had “safety complaints” throughout production. They alleged assistant director David Halls “cut corners” with safety and skipped critical set moves. He also failed to “properly distribute” safety bulletins and how cast and crew should handle weaponry. The three crew members recalled Baldwin accepting the gun on set the day of the fatal shooting. “No one examined the revolver before Halls handed it to Defendant Baldwin,” docs stated. “He did not request that anyone verify or demonstrate the revolver’s safety before this exchange. And he did not ask to see whether ammunition was present inside the revolver’s chamber – despite his knowledge of the observable differences between a live and dummy round, and a loaded and unloaded chamber. Instead, Defendant Baldwin accepted the revolver without any verification that it was a ‘cold gun.'”

Creepy Kissing App
A Chinese company is selling a remote kissing device designed to allow long-distance lovers to share their smooches via a cellphone app. The Remote Kiss device, created by the Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology, uses a set of silicon lips to replicate the pressure, movement and temperature of a kiss that is then replicated by a corresponding device via a smartphone app. “In my university, I was in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend so we only had contact with each other through the phone. That’s where the inspiration of this device originated,” Jiang Zhongli, who led the team that created the device, told China’s state-run Global Times. The $41 device, available on Chinese shopping site Taobao, also has an option in the app to share kisses with anonymous strangers. The Changzhou Vocational Institute of Mechatronic Technology obtained a patent for the device in 2019, but the patent expired in 2023. Four-Leaf Clover Record
A Wisconsin woman earned a Guinness World Record when a team of volunteers tallied her collection of four-leaf clovers at 118,791. Gabriella Gerhardt, a clover collector who already holds the records for largest number of four-leaf clovers collected in eight hours, 887, and most four-leaf clovers collected in one hour, 451, brought her entire collection to the Fitchburg Public Library on Saturday to be counted by a team of 21 witnesses. The team counted Gerhardt’s clovers and arrived at a total of 118,791, more than enough to break the current record of 111,060. Gerhardt, who has been collecting clovers since 2010, applied in January to break the records for largest collection of five-leaf clovers, 1,440, and largest collection of six-leaf clovers, 210.

Spelling “Error” For Baseball Great
New York City’s Department of Transportation swung and missed with a road sign for the Jackie Robinson Parkway that spelled the baseball Hall of Famer’s first name as “Jakie.” The sign spotted Sunday in Queens featured a picture of Robinson, Major League Baseball’s first African American player in the modern era, over the words “Jakie Robinson Parkway.” Department of Transportation spokesperson Scott Gastel said the botched sign was replaced Monday. Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. He is celebrated as a civil rights trailblazer and as a superstar athlete who made the All-Star Game six times and batted .313 over his 10-year MLB career.

Oldest Sex Toy Found
A 2,000-year-old wooden object initially thought to be a darning tool has been reassessed by archaeologists – who believe it may have been used as a sex toy in Roman times. The 6.5 inch wooden object is smooth at both ends – one of the only clues experts had about what it might have been used for, Dr Rob Collins told Sky News. Dr Collins is a senior lecturer in archaeology at Newcastle University and worked alongside Dr Rob Sands from University College Dublin on analyzing the object. “The question we found ourselves asking is what sort of object shaped like a phallus would have greater wear at both ends than in the middle?” Dr Collins said. One possible answer? A dildo. Phallic imagery is “all over the place in the Roman world”, Dr Collins said, and was commonly believed to protect against bad luck. Art and literature from the time also reveal Romans used dildos. But no life-size examples have been found before now. The phallus was found in a ditch in 1992 at Vindolanda, a Roman fort south of Hadrian’s wall, among thousands of other wooden objects, shoes, dress accessories and leather off-cuts. 8 Ways Anxiety Shows Up When You Have A Toxic Boss

- You have stomachaches, chest tightness, breathing changes and other physical symptoms when thinking about your boss.
Your body may know before you fully do that your boss is having a toxic effect on your wellbeing.
“We spend a lot of time at work, so having a toxic boss in your life can result in various physical signs of anxiety such as stomachaches, fatigue or your chest feeling heavy,” Garcia said. “I once had a client whose eye would start slightly twitching on her way into work. It would last the work day, and it would stop upon leaving work.“ Breathing is foundational to our survival and it can change, too, when a toxic boss is in the room. “People’s breathing patterns will change when they are coming into work or when they’re in front of the boss, because they’re feeling that sense of anxiety. That’s a really big sign that people need to be aware of,” said Adriana Alejandre, a California-based licensed marriage and family therapist and founder of Latinx Therapy in Burbank. “For some, it will be more shallow and slow, and for others, it will be more rapid breathing.” Alejandre also noted that other bodily symptoms can include being sweatier than usual, feeling flushed, having a different body odor ― and behavioral changes like stuttering in front of the boss or colleagues who are close to the boss can trigger the same response.
- You feel increasingly alienated from your co-workers and isolated at work.
When you have a toxic boss that is equally horrible to everyone on the team, that can sometimes inspire solidarity in the group. But if you’re the only one being bullied by your boss, it can feel like you are being gaslit and cause you to doubt that what you are experiencing is actually happening.
“If you can sit in a meeting and see that this person speaks differently to other people than they speak to you, that feels very isolating, that feels very alienating. You feel disconnected not just to the boss, not just to the company, but also to your co-workers, because they get a different experience than you,” Ranger said. “You worry that if you say something, they’re going to be like, ‘That’s not how that was. That’s not what they meant.’ Or ‘Are you sure?’”
This can then, in turn, cause you to stop talking to co-workers and feel even lonelier at work, Ranger said.
- You frequently feel on edge and irritable.
If you find that every little thing at work now has the power to set you off, it could be traced back to how your boss is making you feel. “The irritability is about trying to control what you can’t control,” Ranger said. “You have no say. You’re here at somebody’s pleasure and if that whim changes, you’re done. That is a terrible feeling. It is incredibly stressful.”
The people you love could be getting the brunt of your irritability, because we tend to show less favorable feelings and behaviors to those we’re more comfortable with, Alejandre said.
- You wake up dreading the work day, and it makes you unable to sleep at night, too.
If good days or bad days are measured by how much you’ll see your boss at work, it is a warning sign you should not ignore.
“Oftentimes, the dread that you feel when you wake up for the day is about, ‘Is today the day that shit hits the fan?’” Ranger said. “You don’t know what’s coming at you, and you don’t know the intensity of what’s coming, and it fills you with dread. That dread is anxiety. It is… the strongest belief that something terrible is coming.”
Ranger noted that this dread can also cause sleep problems later at night, too.
- You avoid your boss and the tasks they ask of you.
Avoidance is another way anxiety can manifest, Garcia said.
“With a toxic boss, you may notice that you put off asking them a question you’re needing answered for work,” she explained. “You may take a different route to avoid going past their office. If an email comes in from them, your anxiety heightens.”
You may find yourself choosing your words extremely carefully and speaking up less in meetings out of fear that they will lash out at you.
- You become more distracted and forgetful.
Having a toxic boss takes over your brain and makes it harder to focus on doing your actual job.
“If all of your energy is dedicated to [your toxic boss], you’re going to miss stuff,” Ranger said. “You’re going to walk into the copy room and have no idea why you walked in there… Your ability to stay focused and remain organized becomes impacted by anxiety.”
- You lose interest in things that used to matter to you.
Feeling increasingly disengaged in the world around you is a big red flag for how your toxic boss is worsening your psyche. It also has long-term health implications.
“Lack of interest is connected to anxiety, burnout and depression,” she added. “These symptoms… can also lead to hopelessness.”
- You feel burnout.
“You spend so much time worried that it drains all your energy,” Ranger said. “Your work will suffer because you can’t get comfortable, you can’t feel secure in this position.”
Burnout is chronic workplace stress that can result from your toxic boss pushing you past your limits, among other things. “It’s emotional, physical, mental and spiritual exhaustion caused by overworking or being overworked,” Alejandre said.
“People don’t usually realize that they are burnt out until it’s too late,” she said. “If anxiety is not dealt with in the work environment, it will lead to burnout.“
Some of the red flags that you are experiencing burnout can include skipping meals, skipping self-care, making more mistakes than usual, forgetting tasks, and not feeling up to engaging with others emotionally or socially, Alejandre said.
