Adele Releasing New Song
Adele will return with new music this month. He will release the song “Easy on Me” on Oct. 15. Adele shared a teaser for the song Tuesday on Instagram. The black and white video shows Adele taking a drive as sheets of music fly out the windows of her car. “Easy On Me – October 15,” she captioned the post. It’ll be Adele’s first single in five years. She recently appeared to tease her fourth studio album. She changed her profile picture on social media to the same color as billboards featuring the number “30” across the world. Her previous albums were titled 19, 21 and 25 after significant years in her life. Her most recent album, 25, was released in November 2015. Adele celebrated the 10th anniversary of the release of her album 21 in January. “Well I never! Happy 10 years old friend! It’s crazy how little I remember of what it was like and how I felt a decade ago. But Thank You from the bottom of my heart for letting us into your lives and letting me be a soundtrack to some of it x,” she wrote on Instagram.

New Bachelor host Jesse Palmer quietly married his girlfriend, Emely Fardo, in June 2020. Palmer and Fardo originally planned to marry in Provence, France, but ended up holding their wedding at a friend’s house in Connecticut due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “We were only able to invite a small group of close friends that live in the greater N.Y.C. area, and that were in quarantine at the time,” the couple said in a statement. “We had a lovely afternoon and look forward to celebrating our love with our parents and immediate families all together soon!” “Big or small, wedding party or not, we feel so grateful and lucky to have found each other!” they added. Charlie Sheen Done Paying Child Support
Charlie Sheen is finally free of paying Denise Richards child support. His request to stop support for his two children with Richards — Sami, 17, and Lola, 16 — was granted in court on Monday. “I think what transpired today is extremely fair,” Sheen told Us Weekly as he left the courthouse. “It speaks to not just today, but it speaks historically to that same fairness.” Sheen first filed to change his support payments in December 2019. It was noted during the hearing that Richards did not file any opposing paperwork, per US Weekly. The outlet also reported that Sheen’s attorney argued his client had 100 percent custody of the teenagers since April. An insider says that Richards wasn’t present in court “because she is working out of state, which Charlie was well aware of.” “Denise was never served this court date. [Charlie] did this on purpose,” the insider claimed. “He filed two years ago and he kept pushing the court date. Denise kept asking when the date was and he blew her off. He pushed it off because he didn’t want records of the child support he was paying Brooke [Mueller] to impact the case after he agreed to pay them both the same amount of child support.” The source further alleged that Sheen hasn’t paid Denise in “at least” four years. “No child support at all,” the source said. “He owes her.”

Russia Beat Tom Cruise To Space
Russia has rocketed past Tom Cruise in the race to launch cinema in outer space. A Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft blasted off at 4:55 a.m. ET on Tuesday in Kazakhstan with a crew of Russian actors, producers and, of course, legitimate cosmonauts, on their way to the International Space Station to begin filming scenes for “The Challenge.” The show to appear on Russia’s Channel One is the first feature film to be shot in outer space — and well before Cruise had the chance to produce his $200 million space-based action flick. He brokered a deal between NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX last year to bring the film, with direction from Doug Liman (“American Made”), to the big screen. Channel One broadcasted the launch live, featuring actor Yulia Peresild, 37, director Klim Shipenko, 38, and veteran cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, 49, which they aired across multiple viewing platforms and languages. Upon docking around 8:12 a.m. on Tuesday, they’re scheduled to spend 12 days at the already crowded space station, with crews from NASA, European Space Agency, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and Russia’s space agency Roscosmos, as part of the Expedition 65, according to NASA’s space station blog.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle company Goop — notorious for selling pricey wellness products with questionable health claims — has released its newest vagina improvement device: DTF, a “supplement to support women’s sexual desire, arousal and mood.” The product’s name is taken from the digital slang abbreviation for “down to f–k.” Like Viagra for women, DTF promises users not only more desire for sexual pleasure — but just more pleasure in general. “It’s not just about sex: It’s about supporting our pursuit of more pleasure, more often. And yes, we chose to name it DTF. It can be a joke we share,” she hypes in Goop’s official press release. “We’re not ashamed to say we wanted help shifting our sex drive into gear. Fake Tarantula Causes Scare
Animal rescuers in California were called out to assist a tarantula spotted stranded on the roof of a home, but arrived to find the supposed spider was an old Halloween decoration. The Peninsula Humane Society said an animal control officer was dispatched to a San Mateo neighborhood to check on the tarantula. The officer received permission from the homeowners to attempt a rescue and climbed up to the roof with a plastic enclosure to capture the arachnid. The humane society said in a Facebook post that the officer quickly discovered “it was actually a Halloween decoration, not a pet Tarantula.” “She said it looked like it had been up there for a while,” Buffy Tarbox, the Peninsula Humane Society’s communications manager, told SFGate. “I guess if you don’t like spiders, that’s the better outcome.” The officer brought the plastic tarantula down from the roof to show the homeowners and the caller who originally spotted the faux-spider. Wild Monkey Invades VIP Lounge
A wild monkey wandered into an airport’s VIP lounge in India and managed to steal a drink of fruit juice before being ejected from the building. Passengers at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi captured video when the monkey wandered into the lounge Friday evening. A video posted online shows the small simian stealing a drink of fruit juice from the bar counter. Airport officials confirmed the monkey was safely removed from the building without any injuries to monkey or human. See the video HERE.

Squirrel Stuffs Nuts In Truck
A North Dakota man said he has removed about 42 gallons of walnuts from his pickup truck after a squirrel apparently chose the vehicle as its winter storage area. Bill Fischer, of Fargo, said he has repeatedly spotted the red squirrel climbing on his Chevy Avalanche while it was parked outside his home, and he discovered the small animal was filling the vehicle with a large amount of walnuts from the tree in his yard. “A lot of places, in the radiator fan, all the way through here, that corner has been covered full with walnuts,” Fischer told WDAY-TV. “It was planning on camping there for the winter.” He said the walnuts are the work of a single squirrel. “I had to pull the fenders off and clean out all the walnuts out, and thought I had them all and took it down the road, turned the corner and found one rolling inside the windshield where the wipers go,” Fischer said. Exotic Eagle Escapes
An exotic Steller’s sea eagle that escaped from the National Aviary in Pittsburgh is back home after just over a week on the loose, officials said. The National Aviary said Kodiak, or Kody for short, escaped from his habitat Sept. 25 and was sighted numerous times in the Pittsburgh area in the ensuing days. The aviary said the bird, native to Russia and eastern Asia, was spotted Sunday afternoon at a residence in Pine Township, and a National Aviary crew was dispatched to attempt to bring Kody back to the facility that has been his home for 17 years. “Using professional falconry techniques and equipment, the National Aviary’s team was able to safely retrieve Kody and bring him back home,” the aviary said in a statement.

Here’s What Not To Say In A Job Interview

- “I did all the work.”
Not giving credit where it’s due can be a red flag for recruiters.
“The reason why people may play up their own role [is because] they are trying to sell themselves in the interview, but there’s a way of selling yourself while still being humble and fair about it,” said Jocelyn S. Lai, global head of talent acquisition at Duolingo.
And if you do attempt to take all the credit, it’s easy to get caught. Lai said she has seen people be found out through reference checks or probing follow-up interview questions, like “What was your specific role [in the project] that no one else can claim?”
“We want people who know how to collaborate and give credit where it’s due,” especially if they’re applying to be a leader or a people manager, Lai said.
But don’t undersell yourself, either. Lai said job candidates who only use “we” statements when explaining their work can prompt recruiters to think, “Well, what did they do? Did they have a part in this?”
- “I just need a job.”
Lots of people job-hunt for financial and stability purposes, but telling this to a recruiter directly will make it seem like you are only interested in any kind of job, not the specific role you are applying for.
“Not only is desperation obvious, but the recruiter may believe the candidate has no genuine interest in the company and position,” said career strategist and résumé writer Tammeca Riley.
- “What does this company do exactly? What’s the title again?”
When you are job-searching, you may have multiple opportunities in the mix. But it’s important to do your due diligence for each. Asking basic questions about the company and the job description that you could have easily researched beforehand demonstrates a lack of preparation that can be a major turnoff to hiring managers.
Ana Laura Falcon, a career strategist with talent acquisition experience, said she has observed candidates who don’t remember which job or title they are applying for ask questions like “What company is this?”
Beyond showing a lack investment in the role, “To the interviewer, it shows they may not really know what they’re looking for,” Falcon said.

With open-ended questions, it can be easy to start talking about your entire life and personal journey, but this can be a mistake if it’s not relevant to the job you want.
For example, take the job interview question of “Where do you see yourself in five years?” said Sarah Johnston, co-founder of Job Search Journey. “As a former corporate recruiter, I’ve seen job seekers misstep here by giving an answer that doesn’t have anything to do with the role that they are interviewing for.”
“Job seekers have shared that they wanted to open their own restaurant, go back to school or run for political office,” she added. “And while I can appreciate honesty, the hiring manager is not necessarily assessing if you’ll be in the exact role in five years, but … if the position aligns with your personal growth plan.”
In other words, keep your answers tailored to the job at hand.
“When candidates provide personal information that’s not relevant to the job or their qualifications, it doesn’t give them that opportunity to really prove their qualifications and stand out,” Falcon said.

During a job interview, it behooves candidates to build a rapport with recruiters. But while getting chummy, keep in mind: They are not your friends or your therapist. They are evaluating you for a job.
Take the popular interview question of “Why are you looking for a job change?” Even if you are job-hunting mostly to escape a toxic work culture or unreasonable boss, don’t be too honest with your answer.
Lai said one reason this is tempting is because “a lot of these candidates haven’t had an outlet to share their grievances.” And if there’s a recruiter you have a strong connection with, “we almost become their therapist,” Lai said, adding, “There is that easy-to-fall-into-space of oversharing because they feel so comfortable. But remember, it’s still a professional setting.”
And above all, badmouthing your past employer shifts the spotlight away from where it matters. Pointing fingers at your boss and co-workers makes the interview about them, and it is supposed to be about you.
