Lori Loughlin Heading Back To Work
Lori Loughlin will return to acting in the upcoming season of When Hope Calls. Variety reported Monday that she will guest star in Season 2 of the When Calls the Heart spinoff. Loughlin will reprise her character, Abigail Stanton. Deadline said Loughlin will appear in the two-part Season 2 premiere, titled When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, which airs Dec. 18 on GAC Family. A Country Christmas takes place in Brookfield, a town in the western prairie of Canada. The community is preparing for its annual Christmas festival when Abigail and her son Cody bring a troubled boy to Lillian’s orphanage. Loughlin originally played Abigail in When Calls the Heart Seasons 1-5. She left the show in 2019 after she was arrested for her involvement in a college admissions scandal. Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to conspiring to fraudulently secure admission for their two daughters to the University of Southern California. Loughlin was released from federal prison in December after serving a two-month sentence in connection with the scandal.

Demi Lovato claims they once had a close encounter with extra-terrestrial beings in Joshua Tree, California. “We went out into the desert in Joshua Tree and I basically saw this blue orb that was about 50 feet away, maybe less, and it was kind of like floating above the ground, just like 10 or 15 feet, and it was kind of keeping its distance from me,” Lovato said during a recent interview with E! News’ “Daily Pop.” “It was a beautiful and incredible experience.” She said this while promoting her upcoming Peacock series, “Unidentified With Demi Lovato.” According to Lovato, they are attempting to “uncover the truth about the UFO phenomena” alongside sister Dallas Lovato and best friend Matthew Scott Montgomery. Pancake Record
An Iowa city’s annual Pancake Day celebration featured a Guinness World Record being broken when a total 14,280 pancakes were served up at the festival. Organizers of Pancake Day in Centerville said 2,400 pounds of pancake batter were donated for the event by grocery chain Hy-Vee, which previously set the Guinness record for largest serving of pancakes at 13,000 in Blue Springs, Mo., in June. About 100 volunteers who represented numerous local businesses cooked up 14,280 pancakes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to take the record. Organizers said about 17,000 pancakes are usually served during an average Pancake Day, but the number was reduced for the record attempt to ensure all of the pancakes followed Guinness requirements. The requirements stipulated each pancake must be at least 5 inches in diameter and no more than .39 inch thick.

Rare Escaped Eagle
Officials with the National Aviary in Pennsylvania said a Steller’s sea eagle that escaped from its enclosure has been repeatedly spotted around Pittsburgh. Handlers at the National Aviary said the Russia-native eagle, named Kodiak, is believed to have escaped after being startled on Saturday. Officials said they determined the wire surrounding Kodiak’s enclosure had been compromised. They said the eagle has been repeatedly spotted on Pittsburgh’s North Side and is believed to still be in the area. Handlers have been searching the North Side and along the city’s rivers for the fugitive raptor. The aviary said the 4-foot eagle is in good health and is acclimated to a number of different weather conditions. Handlers said Kodiak does not need to eat every day to remain healthy. Man Arrested For Driving With Dead Mother
A Tennessee man wrapped his mother’s dead body in a tarp and hauled it across the state in his truck — while stopping along the way with his girlfriend for gas, food and coffee, police said. Thomas Henshall Jr., 37, of Chattanooga, was arrested Saturday by cops at Nashville’s Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center after admitting to driving his mother’s corpse from Hamilton County, police said in a statement Sunday. “Henshall claimed that his mother had committed suicide and that he found her in a wooded area of Chattanooga,” Nashville police said. Henshall told officers he picked up his girlfriend early Saturday with his mother’s body already stowed in his vehicle before stopping for food, coffee and gas on their way to the VA facility, which was closed at the time. The pair ended up driving some 130 miles away to Nashville’s VA Medical Center, passing multiple other hospitals and law enforcement agencies on their way, police said. Henshall told investigators his mother, identified by cops as Danielle Bowen, 60, fatally shot herself, claiming he was “right next” to her when she took her own life. But Henshall told his girlfriend, who wasn’t identified by police, that he had earlier found his mother dead in a wooded area. He then stopped talking to investigators when they asked how the woman got her hands on a gun, police said.
