Lori Loughlin Heading Back To Work

Lori Loughlin will return to acting in the upcoming season of When Hope Calls.  Variety reported Monday that she will guest star in Season 2 of the When Calls the Heart spinoff. Loughlin will reprise her character, Abigail Stanton.  Deadline said Loughlin will appear in the two-part Season 2 premiere, titled When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas, which airs Dec. 18 on GAC Family.  A Country Christmas takes place in Brookfield, a town in the western prairie of Canada. The community is preparing for its annual Christmas festival when Abigail and her son Cody bring a troubled boy to Lillian’s orphanage.  Loughlin originally played Abigail in When Calls the Heart Seasons 1-5. She left the show in 2019 after she was arrested for her involvement in a college admissions scandal.  Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to conspiring to fraudulently secure admission for their two daughters to the University of Southern California. Loughlin was released from federal prison in December after serving a two-month sentence in connection with the scandal.

Honey Boo Boo Official With New Boyfriend

Alana Thompson, also known as “Honey Boo Boo,” has finally gone Instagram-official with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, after six months of dating.  “spooky season ,” the reality star, 16, captioned a photo of herself and her 20-year-old beau at a pumpkin patch on Monday.  The “Mama June: From Not to Hot” star and college student flashed big smiles as they sat on a tractor in matching T-shirts that read, “That’s How I Roll.”  They also held hands and Thompson added a sticker over the image that said, “Bae,” which is short for “before anyone else.”  Alana, who first made her TV debut on “Toddlers and Tiaras” at age 6, heartbreakingly disclosed in a Teen Vogue profile in August that she doesn’t have any friends besides her boyfriend.  “To be honest, I do not have many friends. At all,” she admitted at the time, “because I feel like folks are so much like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m friends with Honey Boo Boo.’  The TLC star then added, “I don’t trust nobody really, so I don’t have friends.”

Demi Lovato Had Encounter With Aliens

Demi Lovato claims they once had a close encounter with extra-terrestrial beings in Joshua Tree, California.  “We went out into the desert in Joshua Tree and I basically saw this blue orb that was about 50 feet away, maybe less, and it was kind of like floating above the ground, just like 10 or 15 feet, and it was kind of keeping its distance from me,” Lovato said during a recent interview with E! News’ “Daily Pop.”  “It was a beautiful and incredible experience.”  She said this while promoting her upcoming Peacock series, “Unidentified With Demi Lovato.” According to Lovato, they are attempting to “uncover the truth about the UFO phenomena” alongside sister Dallas Lovato and best friend Matthew Scott Montgomery.   Lovato went on to say that their encounter “changed the way” they see the world.  “You have an inkling and then all of a sudden that inkling is confirmed,” the singer explained. “It changes your reality, for sure.”  In a trailer for “Unidentified,” Lovato expresses a desire “to find out what really happened” during their interactions with the mysterious blue orb. “Unidentified With Demi Lovato” will be available to stream Sept. 30 on Peacock.

Wendy Williams Returning To Work

After delaying the Season 13 premiere of her daytime talk show for “ongoing health issues,” Wendy Williams will return to TV next Monday, Oct. 4, her show’s social media account announced.  “THE WAIT IS OVER! Season 13 starts MONDAY,” the caption to a promo reel read. “You don’t wanna miss it!”  Her co-hosts — the name she gives her fans — are likely clamoring for the premiere to see if Williams will address the goings-on in her life during her beloved “Hot Topics” segment, from her breakthrough case of COVID-19 to being taken to the hospital for a mental health check.  Following her hospitalization and divorce from ex-husband Kevin Hunter, a source says that Williams has become lonely.  “It has been a very difficult time for Wendy. She’s a single woman with very few friends. She lost her marriage, her mom, and is living alone,” our source shared.  “There is a lot on her plate.”

Jennifer Aniston Ready To Date!

Jennifer Aniston shared that she is ready to be back in a relationship despite enjoying single life.  “No one of importance has hit my radar yet but I think it’s time. I think I’m ready to share myself with another,” she recently told Bruce Bozzi on Sirius XM’s “Radio Andy.”  Aniston, 52, expressed that she has been in relationships for nearly 30 years and really enjoyed her time on her own.  “I didn’t want to [date] for a long time and I loved really being my own woman without being a part of a couple,” “The Morning Show” actress said, adding, “I’ve been part of a couple since I was 20 so there was something really nice about taking the time.”  She also doubled down on her belief that she should find love in person as opposed to through dating apps like Tinder or Raya, saying she’s “an old school girl.”  “People don’t come up to people anymore. They don’t do that. It’s weird,” Aniston said.  And while she believes a first kiss is “pretty important” when deciding on compatibility, she also looks for certain character traits in a partner.  “The ease at which the conversation flows the first time, that’s kind of a good indicator,” she said, adding, “Confidence, but not a cocky-ness. Humor, please, I beg of you. Generous, kind to people. You know…very few necessities required.”

Pancake Record

An Iowa city’s annual Pancake Day celebration featured a Guinness World Record being broken when a total 14,280 pancakes were served up at the festival.  Organizers of Pancake Day in Centerville said 2,400 pounds of pancake batter were donated for the event by grocery chain Hy-Vee, which previously set the Guinness record for largest serving of pancakes at 13,000 in Blue Springs, Mo., in June.  About 100 volunteers who represented numerous local businesses cooked up 14,280 pancakes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to take the record.  Organizers said about 17,000 pancakes are usually served during an average Pancake Day, but the number was reduced for the record attempt to ensure all of the pancakes followed Guinness requirements.  The requirements stipulated each pancake must be at least 5 inches in diameter and no more than .39 inch thick.

Rare Escaped Eagle

Officials with the National Aviary in Pennsylvania said a Steller’s sea eagle that escaped from its enclosure has been repeatedly spotted around Pittsburgh.  Handlers at the National Aviary said the Russia-native eagle, named Kodiak, is believed to have escaped after being startled on Saturday.   Officials said they determined the wire surrounding Kodiak’s enclosure had been compromised.  They said the eagle has been repeatedly spotted on Pittsburgh’s North Side and is believed to still be in the area. Handlers have been searching the North Side and along the city’s rivers for the fugitive raptor.  The aviary said the 4-foot eagle is in good health and is acclimated to a number of different weather conditions. Handlers said Kodiak does not need to eat every day to remain healthy.  See the video HERE.

Man Arrested For Driving With Dead Mother

A Tennessee man wrapped his mother’s dead body in a tarp and hauled it across the state in his truck — while stopping along the way with his girlfriend for gas, food and coffee, police said.  Thomas Henshall Jr., 37, of Chattanooga, was arrested Saturday by cops at Nashville’s Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center after admitting to driving his mother’s corpse from Hamilton County, police said in a statement Sunday.  “Henshall claimed that his mother had committed suicide and that he found her in a wooded area of Chattanooga,” Nashville police said.  Henshall told officers he picked up his girlfriend early Saturday with his mother’s body already stowed in his vehicle before stopping for food, coffee and gas on their way to the VA facility, which was closed at the time.  The pair ended up driving some 130 miles away to Nashville’s VA Medical Center, passing multiple other hospitals and law enforcement agencies on their way, police said.  Henshall told investigators his mother, identified by cops as Danielle Bowen, 60, fatally shot herself, claiming he was “right next” to her when she took her own life.  But Henshall told his girlfriend, who wasn’t identified by police, that he had earlier found his mother dead in a wooded area. He then stopped talking to investigators when they asked how the woman got her hands on a gun, police said.

The Lifesaving Items You Should Always Keep In Your Car

Huffington Post

1 – An emergency seat belt cutter and window hammer

This two-in-one tool should be stashed nearby in case you need to get out of your car quickly. It comes with a sharp blade (to cut your seatbelt), a double-head hammer (in case you need to bust open your window) and is made with a secure grip. Best of all, it lies flat so it doesn’t take up too much space. Of course, the hope is that you’ll never have to use this ― but it’s a good idea to keep one around just in case.

2 – A phone magnet

Turn your phone into a hands-free GPS device with this handy magnetic holder. It comes with a mount that goes on your dashboard and a piece that you affix to the back of your phone. The ball-and-swivel design allows you to angle your phone in any direction. It also has a sturdy grip, so you don’t have to worry about it falling off as you’re driving.

3 – KN95 face masks

How many times did you get to the store only to realize you forgot to bring a face mask? Or do you keep one floating around in your car that probably should have been tossed or cleaned forever ago? These disposable KN95 masks offer solid protection and they come in (more sanitary) wrapped packages, which are perfect for stashing in your side door pocket or glove compartment.

4 – A first aid kit

Keep this around for any injuries you might experience while you’re out (or if you’re in the car). It comes with different size bandages, burn cream packets, antiseptic wipes, mini scissors and more.

5 – Car window curtains

If you’ve got kids, add these to your backseat windows and instantly transform your life. As one of our editors said, the curtains help “by allowing your screaming children to watch an iPad without throwing up from carsickness.” They also provide UV protection and can make your car feel much cooler.

6 – An ice and snow scraper

This handy brush and scraper can help you get rid of snow or de-ice your windshield, door handles and roof in a matter of moments. It has an ergonomic handle, but it can also separate in case one person wants to use the brush and another wants to use the scraper (divide and conquer). Keep it in your trunk or backseat for those dreaded winter months.

7 – A trash can

There’s a better place for those receipts and empty bottles than your cup holder or back seat. This leakproof trash can comes with a lid and side storage pockets, and fits perfectly behind your center console. It also has a strap if you prefer to hang it somewhere.

8 – An LED flashlight

Cut through darkness with this bright, compact flashlight. It has five different light settings: high, medium, low, strobe and SOS emergency mode. It’s waterproof, durable and small enough to store anywhere.

9 – Bag hooks

Driving with a purse can be a nuisance at best and a hazard at worst. Keep your bag off the floor and make it more easily accessible with these hooks. They attach on the headrest and can hold up to 40 pounds.

10 – Cleaning gel for your vents and other tough spots

Sneezing while driving? No thanks. Get rid of all the dust that’s inadvertently making you take your eyes off the road. This squishy putty is designed to get in those tough-to-reach spots, like your air conditioning vents, and pick up dust and dirt.

11 – Jumper cables

Ever leave the office only to discover that your lights have been on all day and suddenly your car won’t start? (Please tell me I’m not the only one.) It’s always a good idea to keep jumper cables on hand in case you ever get stuck. These come in multiple sizes and have more than 10,000 five-star reviews on Amazon.

12 – Hazard triangles

These warning triangles are great if you have to pull over on the side of the road, especially at night. They’re extremely reflective and come with stands and a storage box. Keep them in your trunk just in case.

13 – A road kit

If you’d prefer to forgo individual products in favor of one handy car kit, this one is your winner. It’s AAA approved and comes with useful items like jumper cables, a poncho, a small flashlight, a screwdriver and more.

14 – A portable charger

Bring this when you’re going somewhere in case your phone needs a charge and you can’t use your car to do it. It has fast-charging capabilities, meaning you don’t need to wait forever to get your smartphone’s power back. It also has multiple charging ports and a slim, portable design. Not to mention the fact that it has an awesome battery life.

15 – Hand sanitizer that can hook to your keys

If you’ve been storing sanitizer in your car, ditch that bottle immediately and order these. The sunlight can make the active ingredients less effective over time. These portable sanitizers come with carriers that can hook on your car keys or your bag, ensuring that you’ll always have it on hand. (See what I did there?)

16 – A bluetooth converter

Turn your radio waves into a bluetooth setup with this handy converter. Just plug it into your car’s adapter and set it to an available FM radio frequency, then stream away. The display is big enough to see incoming calls, music and more. It’ll make your driving experience a lot more hands-free.
