Ozzy Performing At NFL Opener
Ozzy Osboune has been booked to perform a halftime show for tomorrow’s Los Angeles Rams game against the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. “Ready to rock for Thursday Night Football,” the NFL team’s Twitter feed said Monday. The post included a photo of Osbourne and the date of the game. This will be the 73-year-old musician’s first U.S. performance in more than two years. NBC and Peacock will air the mini-concert. They released “Hold Me Closer” — a reimagining of the Rocket Man’s classics “Tiny Dancer” and “The One” — on Aug. 26. The dance track quickly shot to No. 1 on iTunes in over 40 countries and earned praise from critics as well as Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart. “No one should be surprised that her first foray [since her conservatorship ended] is a smash success,” the former federal prosecutor told Page Six at the time, adding that he was “so very proud” of his client. Kim Kardashian spoke highly of her now-ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson in a new Interview magazine profile. “He’s a cutie,” she in her “Kim Kardashian Bares All” cover story. “He’s literally such a good person; they don’t really make them like him anymore. I’m excited for what he has coming up.” However the interview took place prior to the couple calling it quits. On Aug. 5, sources told Page Six that Kardashian and Davidson, 28, had “a lot of love and respect for each other” but found that “long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.” They decided at the time to just be “good friends” after nine months of dating. Prior to the breakup, Kardashian regularly shared kind words about him. In March, the reality star “liked” a tweet that praised Davidson for being “respectful” amid the comic’s feud with her ex-husband Kanye West. The tweet from filmmaker James Gunn, who worked with Davidson on the 2016 movie “Suicide Squad,” read, “For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. Adele has sent fans into a frenzy after sparking theories she has married sports agent Rich Paul. Her fans spotted a clue during the mega-star’s Emmy win celebration. She picked up an array of awards at the Creative Arts Emmys 2022 for her One Night Only special concert on CBS. After the ceremony, she took to her social media to celebrate the win, including posing with one of Emmy awards in a make-up free selfie. The third photo in the post showed the Emmy resting on some books atop a coffee table in the Los Angeles home she shares with Paul. Adele captioned the post: “Bloody hell I’m pleased as punch! Another Tomato Sauce Highway
Authorities in Northern California said a truck crash on a Sacramento-area highway covered the roadway in tomatoes for the second time last week. The Cosumnes Fire Department said the crash Friday morning on southbound Interstate 5 in Elk Grove resulted in the vehicle’s load of tomatoes being spilled across the roadway. No injuries were reported from the incident. The fire department said the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans were leading clean-up efforts. The incident comes after a truck crash Monday morning on Interstate 80, near Vacaville, spilled about 50,000 pounds of tomatoes onto the freeway. See the video HERE.

Three-Legged Alligator Mystery
A three-legged alligator in Florida has gained some viral fame after appearing in a TikTok video. The gator was spotted by Amanda Leigh Demuth, a longtime Cape Coral resident, as she was on her way to the entertainment destination Topgolf Fort Myers, Demuth told Fox News. She said she began filming the large reptile as she arrived to the venue. She later posted the video onto TikTok. In the 25-second clip, Demuth asks the gator if it would like to “whack some golf balls.” Then, her tone sounds like it changes once she realizes the gator is missing a front leg. “That’s really sad,” Demuth can be heard saying in the footage. “That’s actually heartbreaking. Now I feel bad for taking a video of you.” Demuth said her original goal was to make a “funny” and “goofy” video and she initially posted the clip onto her Snapchat account. “After [getting] a ton of responses on there I was like, ‘Hey, let’s throw it up on TikTok,,” she explained.

Florida Woman Dances During DUI Stop
Despite efforts to put on a show, a Florida woman was arrested after apparently dancing during a field sobriety test following a car crash. The incident, caught on a Pinellas County deputy’s body cam video —which was recently released — happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. in April. An arrest report says 38-year-old Amy Harrington of Madeira Beach broke into “ballet” and “Irish folk dance moves” during the walk and turn and one leg stand portions of a field sobriety test. She was pulled over by deputies for allegedly rear-ending a vehicle on Gulf Boulevard, and showed “multiple signs of impairment” once deputies made contact with her. Harrington reportedly had slurred speech, glassy eyes and was unsteady on her feet. The deputy smelled alcohol on Harrington, who refused to provide a breath test. The body camera video shows a deputy giving Harrington instructions to walk along a yellow line. When asked if she understood the directions, Harrington said “yes” but also that she thought they were “ridiculous.” See the video HERE.

The Rudest Things You Can Do At The Beach

Encroaching On Others’ Space
“Find a spot that is at least three paces from other’s belongings,” suggested Jodi R.R. Smith, president of Mannersmith Etiquette Consulting. “The idea here is to give others a bit of personal space. The spacing should allow for beachgoers to walk between your towel and the other towel without kicking up sand on either.”
If it’s too crowded and you have to be a little bit closer to others, be extra careful as you walk by to avoid kicking up sand or otherwise disrupting their beach time. “Don’t assume other people want to talk,” said Diane Gottsman, an etiquette expert, author of “Modern Etiquette for a Better Life” and founder of The Protocol School of Texas. “Watch their body language and if they engage, feel free to continue. If they put their ear buds in, it’s a sign they want to be left alone.”
Blocking Views
Be mindful of the people behind you as you set up your area as well.
“Many beachgoers like to bring all the comforts of home,” Smith said. “This is fine so long as it does not prohibit others from enjoying the sights. Your umbrella or tent should not inhibit other people’s ability to view the water.”
Ignoring Smoking Etiquette
Continue to be mindful of the people around you if you decide to smoke at the beach as well. That includes paying attention to where you smoke and what you do when you’re finished.
“If you are at a beach that still allows smoking and you want to light up, you will need to head way down the beach,” Smith said. “Do be sure to dispose of your butts appropriately. It can be quite dangerous for birds, dogs and children to ingest cigarette butts they have found ‘buried’ in the sand.”
Not Respecting The Local Wildlife
Of course, every beach is different, but as a general rule, it’s best to avoid feeding birds and other animals along the shore, as this can impact the local ecosystem. Take care not to disrupt them in other ways as well.
“Beaches allow us to connect with nature ― fish, snails and other living things,” Smith said. “While it is fun to pretend that starfish is your pet, it needs to be returned to the water before you go home.”
Shaking Sand On People
“It’s rude to shake your towel or sandy clothing near others or toward the direction of the wind,” said etiquette expert Juliet Mitchell, also known as Ms. J. “Sand in your mouth, in your eyes and on your body doesn’t sit well with others.”
Smith echoed this rule ― recommending a “gather, then shake” approach to the conclusion of your beach day.
“Walk away from the people before shaking any of your blankets and towels that have collected sand,” she said. “The windier it is, the further you need to go. This does make packing up a two-step process, but waving sand in people’s eyes is not a good way to end a great day.”
Playing Games By Others
“For any games, find a clear area away from other people,” Leighton advised. “Frisbees going overhead can make some people nervous.”
In the interest of respecting people’s space, establish some distance between your activities and other beachgoers ― both to avoid balls and other items whizzing by and for sand purposes.
“Set up your volleyball net away from other people,” Gottsman urged. “Same goes for playing games in the sand that involve kicking up sand.”
Making Noise
Another reason to set up your game far from others, cutting down on disruptive noise. Many people go to the beach for peace and relaxation. “Things like music and loud cellphone conversations easily travel beyond the boundaries of your blanket and affect other people, so be mindful of what’s escaping your bubble,” Leighton said. Pay attention to the volume and content of your conversations with your group as well.
“Watch your language, especially around children,” Mitchell advised. “Be respectful, be considerate and be civil. No profanity and no fighting.”
Leaving A Mess
There’s no excuse for leaving your beach area in a worse state than you found it. Littering is not just rude (and illegal), it’s dangerous.
“Please do not litter, especially purposely, and clean up your area before you leave,” Mitchell urged.
Not Following The Rules
Both public and private beaches have listed rules and guidelines, and it’s important to heed them. “Follow the signs that act as warnings for your safety and the safety of others,” Gottsman said. Familiarize yourself with different flags and what they mean. Don’t venture beyond the permitted limits.
“Boundaries are set for a reason,” Mitchell said. “Stay within the ‘swim boundaries’ or other boundaries that could cause harm to yourself or others.” And don’t just adhere to the explicitly written rules.
“All etiquette is local and it’s important to learn and follow the local customs,” Leighton said. “Every beach has its own.”
