Derek Hough New Judge On DWTS
Derek Hough will serve as a judge in the new season of Dancing with the Stars. He said Tuesday on Good Morning America that he will return to show in Season 29. He previously served as a pro on the show in Seasons 5-11, 13-21 and 23. He won the competition a record six times, including with Bindi Irwin in Season 21. On GMA, Hough said he is “so excited” to return to the DWTS ballroom. “It’s like coming home. You know, being a part of that show for so long, having such amazing memories and experiences and triumphs and failures and all the things,” he said. “I’m excited. Can’t wait.” Hough said he plans to be a “fair and honest” judge. “I want to try to inspire and motivate these celebrities to have the best possible time they have and they get better each week,” he said. “For me, I’ve just experienced everything that they’ve experienced. I’ve been on the show 17 seasons,” he added. “I understand. I’ll be very empathic and very compassionate as well.”

Tom Cruise Rents Out Ship For Film Crew
Tom Cruise is reportedly shelling out some of his own cash to help ensure that the production on the new “Mission: Impossible” can go on amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Production was about to get underway in February in Italy when restrictions due to the pandemic shut everything down. Fortunately for “Mission: Impossible” fans, Simon Pegg, who plays Benji Dunn in the movies, revealed to Variety in July that the production was poised to get back to work in September. Now it seems that’s actually happening thanks to a generous influx of cash from Cruise. According to Forbes, Cruise has reportedly shelled out $700,000 of his own money to help production company Truenorth charter two cruise ships from Norway’s Hurtigruten company that will house both the cast and crew of “Mission: Impossible 7” while filming. The hope is to create a bubble that will allow them all to work without running the risk of a widespread outbreak. The cruise ships are reportedly a brand new 530-passenger MS Fridtjof Nansen as well as a 490-passenger MS Versteralen, which is expected to be more than enough to provide reasonable accommodations to everyone working on the film.

In the shots, she was photographed adoringly staring at Vitolo Jr. as she sat on his lap. Seconds later, the two were caught on camera locking lips. According to the outlet, Holmes and Vitolo Jr. dined at Peasant in New York City on Sunday. It’s nearby the Vitolo family’s famed restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato, a popular dining destination for New York City’s A-listers. Jane Fonda Closes Up Shop!
Jane Fonda has officially taken herself out of the dating pool. She spent much of the past in a relationship, but at 82 she has no plans of getting into another commitment. “[That part of my life] is gone. I can tell,” Fonda told The Guardian in a recent interview. She continued: “It’s just over – I’ve closed up shop.” Fonda was married to Roger Vadim from 1965 to 1973, Tom Hayden from 1973 to 1990, and finally Ted Turner from 1991 to 2001. She later dated record producer Richard Perry from 2009 to 2017. Recently, Fonda opened up about past sexual encounters and missed opportunities in a discussion with a New York Times reporter. “Who I do think about, and what is a great regret, is Marvin Gaye,” Fonda admitted. “He wanted to and I didn’t.”

Meghan and Harry Pay Back Debt
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have repaid $3.2 million in British taxpayers’ money that was used to renovate their Frogmore Cottage in the United Kingdom. The amount translates to 2.4 million pounds in the U.K. The property, located in Windsor, England, was intended for the couple to use before they notoriously walked away from their roles as senior members of the royal family earlier this year. A spokesman for the couple said Monday that Harry had made a contribution to the Sovereign Grant, the public money that goes to the royal family. He said the contribution “fully covered the necessary renovation costs of Frogmore Cottage” near Queen Elizabeth II’s Windsor Castle home, west of London. Frogmore Cottage will remain the home of Harry and Meghan, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, when they visit the U.K., the rep said. They recently bought a house in Santa Barbara, Calif., and last week announced a deal with Netflix to produce a range of films and series for the streaming service.

Ozzy Osbourne Regrets Trying To Kill Sharon
Ozzy Osbourne is looking back on his attempted murder of wife Sharon Osbourne 30 years after the incident. “[It was] not exactly one of my greatest achievements,” he said in the “Biography: Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne” documentary, which premiered on A&E on Monday. “I felt the calmest I had ever felt in my life. I was just peaceful. … All I remember is waking up in [England’s] Amersham jail and I asked the cop, ‘Why am I here?’ And he says, ‘You want me to read your charge?’ So he read, ‘John Michael Osbourne, you have been arrested for attempted murder.’” Sharon said she “didn’t recognize” her husband, who had limited recall of the events, that night because of how intoxicated he was from drugs. “I had no idea who was sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn’t my husband. He goes to a stage where he gets that look in his eyes, the shutters were down and I just couldn’t get through to him,” she explained. “And he just said, ‘We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die.’ He was calm — very calm — then suddenly he lunged across at me and just dived on me and started to choke me. He got me down on the ground on top of me.” She said she managed to find “the panic button” and press it, prompting the cops to arrive. The rocker, who revealed his Parkinson’s disease battle earlier this year, went on to spend six months in medical detention.

Tests later confirmed the couple’s COVID diagnosis. Last night a friend said: “It was an absolute nightmare scenario. “David was on duty for his club Inter Miami, and Victoria and the family flew down to support him. When they returned, the source went on, “David started to feel ill and then Victoria developed a sore throat and high temperature. “At the same time, several of their team including drivers, bodyguards and assistants fell ill — a couple of them very badly so. Victoria really panicked and made the whole family quarantine rigidly for more than two weeks. “She was utterly petrified they might be super-spreaders, and did all she could to minimize all future risk. Not only was she poorly in bed, she was also completely panicked. It was a rough few weeks.” After making full recoveries, Posh and 45-year-old Becks checked in regularly with their team.

Man Makes Homemade License Plate
Police in Kentucky said they conducted a traffic stop when they spotted something suspicious about the vehicle’s license plate: it was homemade. The Millersburg Police Department said officers stopped the vehicle Sept. 2 when they noticed the license plate, which appeared genuine from a distance, was missing a registration sticker. A closer look revealed the license plate was completely hand-drawn on a plate-sized piece of paper. Police said they also determined the driver’s license was suspended and the vehicle was not insured. See the video HERE.

Tourist Busted For Stealing Sand From The Beach!
Authorities in Italy said a French tourist was fined $1,200 for attempting to smuggle more than 4 pounds of Sardinia’s famous white sand out of the country. Sardinia’s Forest Rangers said the tourist was stopped at Cagliari Elmas Airport and ordered to pay the fine after a bottle containing 4.4 pounds of sand was found in his possession. “The bottle was confiscated and is now in our operating room where we hold these confiscated items. At the end of the year we usually have many bottles of sand accumulated,” a spokesman for the Forest Rangers told CNN. A regional law introduced in 2017 made it illegal to take sand from Sardinia’s beaches, with fines ranging from $600 to $3,550 depending on the amount of sand taken and where it was taken from. “Last year we found a website that was selling our sand as souvenirs. It’s become a very known phenomenon here in Europe,” the spokesman said.

Escaped Bear Caught
A brown bear dubbed “Papillon” after repeated escapes from its enclosure in Italy was recaptured 42 days after its most recent escape. Papillon, a 4-year-old male bear officially known as M49, escaped from its enclosure at the Casteller wildlife park in Trentino province July 27 by climbing over three electrified fences and breaking through a barrier of metal bears. Authorities tracked the bruin’s movements in the wild and it was captured in a live trap in the Lagorai area of Trentino province. The bear was on the loose for 42 days. Papillon, named after the protagonist of French writer Henri Charriere’s autobiographical novel about his famous prison escape, was captured in good health, officials said. The provincial government said Papillon had lost about 88 pounds during his time on the loose.

Man Blows Up House Trying To Kill A Fly
A man in France has accidentally blown up part of his house while trying to chase a fly with an electric swat. The man, in his 80s, was eating his dinner on Friday evening when he became annoyed at a fly buzzing around him. He picked up the electronic fly swat and took aim at it, as he was unaware of a gas cylinder leaking at his home in the village of Parcoul-Chenaud in Dordogne. A reaction occurred between the swat and the gas, causing an explosion and part of his kitchen to blow up. The blast also damaged a section of his roof and the house is currently uninhabitable. Somehow the man managed to escape the catastrophe with just a burn to his hand.

The data is in! The Social Security Administration has released its official list of the most popular baby names of 2019.
After five years in the top spot, Emma is no longer parents’ No. 1 choice for girls ― having been unseated by Olivia. Liam remains the most popular name for boys for the third year in a row.
Sophia surpassed Isabella for the No. 4 spot, and Amelia overtook Mia for No. 7. Otherwise, the top 10 names for girls remain unchanged from 2018.
There were more changes on the list of most popular names for boys. Oliver jumped up two spots to bump William down to No. 4; Elijah rose from No. 7 to 5; and Ethan replaced Logan in the top 10 after two years off the list.
